Have you been experiencing feelings of frustration and disappointment, low self-esteem or low self-worth, frustration with poor decision making, an addiction to prescriptions or illegal substances etc? Working with me I can help you become empowered, help you find and set goals, begin to feel worthy and free yourself of any self-made prison.
In our first session together, we will start with brief introduction, then later we can unpack specific challenges that you are facing. This can help us create a tailored plan to work through in follow up sessions.
Having had a plethora of work myself when it comes to trauma related issues, I find that with this I can have an innate ability to connect with my clients. My biggest strength is my heart and compassion while being totally personable. I do not just guide; I will get into that hole with you and pull you out with solutions! I will help you find the solution you seek; I will not give you the answer but a different perspective on your current view. CBT, DBT, and mindfulness are great ways that I demonstrate these abilities.
I love working with people who are having a situational crisis, adjusting to new life challenges, and are eager to work through those challenges but don’t yet have to the tools needed to make their goals a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about their life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Restructuring: I like to have the client write down negative thoughts, identify cognitive distortions, and replace them with more balanced thoughts. Behavioral Experiments: having the client test the validity of a belief (e.g., "If I reach out for help, I’ll be rejected") by engaging in a real-life situation and reflecting on the outcome. and Thought Record Journaling: encouraging the client to keep a journal of distressing events, associated thoughts, and alternative, more rational thoughts.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Using mindfulness grounding techniques like body scan or PMR. Helping client identify uncontrollable situations, recognizing resistance, and practicing full acceptance of reality.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I love using the Miracle Question! "If you woke up tomorrow and your problem was completely solved, what would be different?" This helps clients envision solutions and set goals. I like using scaling questions that rate emotion, confidence, and progress such as a 1-10 to track improvement, set small steps to help with forward movement.
