My journey into therapy began with a desire to help the hurting individuals I worked with in a group home, and a genuine passion for helping others find strength through life’s most difficult moments. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people facing a wide range of challenges—experiences that have shown me just how powerful and transformative therapy can be. These moments have only deepened my commitment to walking alongside others on their path to healing. I’m continually inspired by the belief that every person holds the capacity for growth, resilience, and change. We can change and heal. Sometimes we just need a little help along the way.

I am originally from San Antonio, TX. I was born to working class parents and attended the public school system. I speak English and Spanish. I attained 3 degrees overtime to include a bachelor's degree, master's degree, and doctorate. I have been a licensed therapist for several years. Having worked in a variety of settings, I am well networked, resourceful, and experienced. In addition, to counseling and therapy, I also have university teaching experience. I get along with others and generally have a positive outlook. In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, and cooking.
Additionally, I love animals, spending time with family, and the outdoors.
I believe therapy works best when it feels human, safe, and real. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys walking alongside people as they sort through life’s challenges and begin to understand themselves more clearly. Many of the individuals I work with feel anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of their direction. My role is to help you slow down, gain insight, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt therapy, and Bowen’s concept of differentiation. In simple terms, that means we explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. We look at the different “parts” of you that may be in conflict and help you develop the ability to stay true to yourself while staying connected to others. Over time, this often leads to healthier boundaries, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of balance.
I value honest conversation and believe meaningful growth comes from awareness paired with action. Therapy with me is collaborative and compassionate, but also practical. I want you to leave sessions with insight you can actually apply in your daily life.
On a personal note, I’m married and a proud father of four adult children. I enjoy traveling, spending time on the golf course, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. I believe growth doesn’t stop at any stage of life, and I try to live that belief myself.
If you’re ready to understand yourself more fully and create lasting change, I’d be honored to support you in that process.

I am experienced in individual, family, and group counseling.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. My hope is to provide a safe, nonjudgemental environment for you to discover yourself and to start on the road to healing. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
Best,
Christina
