My experience is varied as I have worked with veterans, women, children, victims of abuse, couples, families, and teenagers. I use a client-centered approach that focuses on increasing the clients' insight and giving them the tools so that they can navigate life's problems on their own.
Hello there! My name is Elizabeth Taylor and I am in Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been working as a counselor for the past 9 years, although I have been working in the mental health field for much longer. I began working as a Mental Health Technician when I was an Airman in the United States Air Force in 2007. I worked closely with military men and women returning from deployments and experiencing symptoms of PTSD. I led Anger Management and Stress Management groups. This experience grew my desire to enter into a field that involved helping those struggling with mental health challenges to find healing. I separated from the Air Force and went into grad school. Since graduating, I have worked as a therapist with several different populations, including families involved with the foster care system, adult inmates in a prison, youth in the Juvenile Justice system, adults in community mental health, children in the school setting, and, most recently, adults and children in private practice. I have a passion for working with those suffering with anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I have specialized training in EMDR to help treat trauma, as well as ERP, which has been shown to be the "Gold Standard" treatment for OCD. I am also certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which guides much of my approach to emotion regulation.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been licensed since 1996. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, attachment related issues, and a wide variety of trauma related situations, particularly with military personnel and first responders. I also have extensive post graduate training in areas related to neuropsychology, adoption, custody, child abuse, and forensics. I am qualified as an expert in these areas in several court jurisdictions in Florida and have worked internationally as well (Japan and Europe) in context with the military and internationals from Japan, Italy, and England. My doctoral research areas were Case Conceptualization and Attachment/Adult Psychopathology and I have served as an adjunct professor in clinical mental health
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I consider our therapeutic relationship as one as "an exchange of ideas". My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, psychodynamic and developmental based counseling. I am well trained in other modalities as well.
I understand that it takes courage to seek help, and it's not easy to face fear. I do not believe that "you are your diagnosis". Rather, I will view you "as a a unique individual facing some challenges". My background and training is unique, and I think you will find that I see things very differently than most clinicians.
I look forward to working with you!

I genuinely believe in the power of therapy. So much can be improved upon through supportive connections, empathy and the general resilience of the human condition. I have a vested curiosity in the lived experiences of my clients and a commitment to their growth and goals. Change itself is inevitable, and at times can feel insurmountable, that said together we can work to direct the trajectory of where those changes may take you.
A bit about me; I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have approximately 6 years of clinical experience. I am a born and raised Floridian - from St. Petersburg, FL - however, I spent much of my young adult life traveling and moving about (Miami, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Costa Rica, New Orleans and now back in the Tampa Bay Area). I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of North Florida. In 2020, I graduated from Jacksonville University with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
During my graduate study, I completed clinical internship (1500+ hours of direct client work) with a Hospice agency as a bereavement counselor. Post-graduation, I was hired by that same agency and counseled surviving loved ones of Hospice patients through their grief journey and efforts to adjust. Surviving loss is manageable and grief therapy can help with visualizing a more hopeful future that honors your loved ones.

Whether this is your first time exploring the options for therapy or you are seeking to return to the "therapy couch" to work on something different, know I'm proud of you for taking that step!
I recognize that therapy can be a struggle all within itself due to our beliefs, preconceived notions, and busy daily lives. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk beside you with compassion and empathy to achieve your goals.
As a therapist, I have worked in a range of areas, including outpatient substance abuse treatment, with individuals involved in intimate partner violence (survivors and perpetrators), in addition to education-based interventions for anger management & substance use.
Additionally if you decide you would like to meet with me, feel free to reach out if a time slot you would need is not available. I am more than willing to accommodate with advance notice for specific days/times you may need.
I have two decades of experience treating clients with mental health and/or substance abuse problems. I also have experience treating clients who are having relationship problems or are going through a difficult situation and need help getting past it in a healthy way. My goal is for my clients to have a good quality of life; I want them to feel that life is not something to get through but something for them to enjoy.

Hi, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and am also licensed in Maine (LCPC). I received my masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health from the University of South Florida. I work with my clients on their mental health struggles (trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, addiction, and coping skills to name a few) to enable them to manage their mental health so it is not interfering with their daily functioning and they can be the best version of themselves.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I create a compassionate space for women, teens, and young adults who are ready to heal, grow, and rediscover their identity. Many of my clients are high-functioning, faith-filled, and deeply tired — carrying the weight of life transitions, unhealed wounds, and emotional overwhelm.
Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strengths-Based, and Solution-Focused modalities, I help my clients explore what’s holding them back and move toward a life of clarity, peace, and purpose.

Greetings,
I provide therapy for high-functioning adults who are tired of surviving, overthinking, people-pleasing, and repeating painful relationship patterns. I've helped clients overcome struggles with issues such as Substance use, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship issues, LGBTQ, Ethical Non-Monogamy/lifestyle concerns, Bipolar disorder, Personality disorders, Trauma including sexual, emotional and physical abuse. My upbringing as the child of an immigrant Caribbean mother, and experience growing up in Brooklyn, NY allows me to bring a unique perspective to the counseling experience.
My Counseling style is warm, direct, collaborative, and nonjudgmental with a utilization of CBT, DBT, Psycho-educational, and Psychodynamic therapy. Together, we'll work on managing symptoms and understanding the experiences and beliefs that may be contributing to how you feel today.
You are more than your trauma, Inner childhood wounds, and the labels placed on to you. I believe we are all unique individuals and therapy can be a space to understand yourself differently, strengthen your boundaries, develop healthier relationships, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are now.
Let's work together!

My experience is with individuals, families, and groups in community organizations, hospital settings, and outpatient setting. Feeling constantly on edge, emotionally drained, or struggling to cope? Many clients I encounter feel stuck in survival mode-overwhelmed with anxiety, weighed down with depression, or impacted by trauma. Life stressors can feel all consuming and this can make everyday feel like an uphill battle.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing compassionate, trauma-informed therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also have a certification in CBT focused on Depression. Together, we focus on reducing anxiety, improving mood, and developing coping skills to help regain a sense of control and stability in your daily life.
