Our first session together will consist of Biopsychosocial Assessment. During the assessment I will gather detailed history from you, help you identify areas of concern, and work with you to develop a Treatment Plan.
Strengths
You take care of everyone else. But who takes care of you? I specialize in helping empaths and caregivers prevent and resolve burnout, and get the respect they deserve. If you’re feeling depressed, consumed with worry, or negligent of yourself then I may be the provider for you.
Ideal clients
I specialize in working with individuals to heal from trauma, help people break unhealthy relationship patterns, heal from Personality Disorders, and help people who love people living with Personality Disorders. I provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, develop coping strategies, and work toward healing and growth.
Treatment methods
EMDR
Have you found counseling to be unsuccessful in the past? EMDR may be a more effective alternative treatment intervention. EMDR can be used to reduce negative thoughts and feelings associated with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, addiction, OCD, Eating Disorders, fears and phobias, depression, and grief.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an intervention that challenges the client to identify the correlation between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Identifying these connections can help clients figure out their patterns, motivations, and strategies for change. CBT is the basis for a variety of therapy interventions.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with Biolateral sound, which is deep, direct, and powerful yet focused and containing.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a transformative tool that conceives of every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self. We believe the mind is naturally multiple and that is a good thing. Just like members of a family, inner parts are forced from their valuable states into extreme roles within us. Self is in everyone. It can’t be damaged. It knows how to heal.
Hypnotherapy
I use evidence-based clinical hypnosis as an adjunct to psychotherapy to help clients create meaningful and lasting change. Clinical hypnosis is a collaborative process that combines focused attention, guided imagery, and therapeutic suggestion to help clients access their own strengths, increase psychological flexibility, and reinforce healthier patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior. Clients remain aware, in control, and able to stop the process at any time.
