For those interested in in-person sessions, these are available by appointment only. Before meeting in person, we first conduct three initial assessments to understand your needs and develop a tailored treatment plan—ensuring your time with us is purposeful and productive. To make therapy more accessible, we’ve partnered with Grow Therapy, a trusted platform that manages insurance billing and referrals. While The Listening Room LLC is independently owned and operated, Grow Therapy helps streamline access to care by handling the administrative side—so we can focus on delivering quality mental health services and truly listening to you.

Hey! I am Dr. Martecia "Tecii" Oates and I am a licensed professional counselor servicing clients in CO, FL and OK. I work primarily with athletes, college students, young professionals, and teenagers. I work with ages (14-40). I aim to be a helping hand to clients who are navigating life transitions, experiencing symptoms related to anxiety and depression, as well as clients who are struggling with self-esteem and low confidence.

I view my work as a therapist through a multicultural lens, and I customize my approach depending on the unique needs of every individual I work with. Therapy can break couples out of the destructive tit-for-tat cycle. Broken trust, infidelity and unforgiveness are also areas I specialize in. Women’s concerns and issues are important to me. I’ve done extensive work in healing their “father wound”. Tapping the spiritual relationship for healing. Topics include relationships, self development and growth. Currently, I am authoring The Majestic Woman Mindset, which comes from a woman’s empowerment curriculum I developed.
