Having worked in community mental health and social services field since 1992, I’m seasoned in providing adults with compassionate, contemporary and effective mental health counseling/therapy. Using an eclectic & comprehensive approach tailored to the needs of each person, I use techniques based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Rogerian/Person-Centered Experiential Therapy(PCET), REBT(Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(DBT), Solution-Focused, and behavioral schools of counseling.
Since becoming a counselor, I have worked in a variety of community counseling settings. I have worked with clients from ages 3 through 80 and with individuals, couples, and families. With that breadth of experience, very little shocks or surprises me and I have gotten a pretty good sense of where the types of counseling that play to my strengths as a counselor overlap with the types of counseling that are helpful for my clients. This sense (along with learning about lots and lots of research into what helps people find and maintain mental health) has led to the following guiding principles that shape all the counseling I do:
1) The client is always in charge. I know a lot of things but you will always be the one who decides what you want to get out of counseling, how we work towards that goal, whether or not what we’re doing seems to be working, and when we’re done.
2) Change and health happen through relationships. No matter what you come in for, there are always relational implications of change and relational factors that contribute to whatever it is that you came to counseling to change.
3) Counseling should be efficient. Counseling has significant costs in time and money. I think the benefits far outweigh the costs but if I can give you the benefits while helping you save on the costs then I want to do that.

I am a mental health provider committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges with authenticity and compassion. My work focuses on anxiety, personal growth, life transitions, and relationship dynamics. Using a holistic, mind-body approach, I empower clients to reconnect with their inner resources and make lasting changes that align with their values and goals. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported.
My work is grounded in cultural awareness, compassion, and honesty. Together, we look at patterns that feel stuck and gently challenge the beliefs or experiences that may be holding you back.
I take a collaborative and active approach to therapy. That means we work as a team. I will support you at a pace that feels safe, while also encouraging insight, practical tools, and meaningful change that lasts beyond our sessions.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida . I received my Masters degree from the NOVA State University and have been practicing for the past 20+ years. I have experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I help individuals become the best version of themselves navigating through their traumas, addictions and mental unwellness.
I have a Master's degree in clinical psychology, and am passionate about what I do. Helping clients reinvent, re signify and solve their own life problems is the best reward to my practice. I believe that the power of a good psychotherapy process lies in its ability to help my clients understand themselves better, address their emotional psychological challenges, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I also believe strongly in the transformative power of connection and communication, and know that psychotherapy is the key to evolve and learn new skills that may be hidden inside someone. I am simply a facilitator of my client's own awareness, their emotional healing, and their growth.
I’m a licensed therapist who supports women who have spent most of their lives being the strong one, the responsible one, and the over-functioner for everyone else. Many of the women I work with grew up emotionally neglected or learned early on that their value came from how much they could carry. I help them reconnect with themselves, feel grounded again, and build a sense of identity and worthiness that isn’t tied to performance, achievement, or constantly being “the strong one.”

I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 23 years and am also a Licensed Therapist in Virginia, largely with a focus in the areas of depression, anxiety, thought disturbance, addiction, emotion regulation, relationship distress, and self-esteem. I feel many of the responses we struggle with are connected to a traumatic event (or perceived trauma) from the past. Currently, my primary focus has been in the individual realm, with a focus on relationship growth.
I will encourage you to prioritize the areas you wish to address in therapy and tailor my approach on an individual basis. I believe in client autonomy so the areas that are addressed are the areas you want to address.
I draw on several treatment modalities (including, but not limited to, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to allow you to further develop your strengths and help you meet all of your treatment plan goals at a speed that works best for you. I also have completed training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as the Developmental Model for Couples and integrate both of these approaches into my relational therapy practice.
Overall, I help you to see that managing the stressor is more important than just managing the stress as it will allow you to cope with anything that comes your way.

To others it may seem like you've got it all together, but on the inside you're spinning out of control. Panic randomly punches you in the chest, taking your breath away, and you can't focus on anything else other than how to make it stop. You are consumed by trying to keep up with everyone else since they seem to have it all together, but you can barely function through the day. You feel like an awful mom because you are lashing out on your kids and hating the daily monotony instead of "embracing the joy of motherhood." You feel like you are failing your partner because somewhere along this journey you just lost yourself.
You want to be a better mom to your kids. And remember why you fell in love with your partner. And stop the tornado of anxiety that knocks you out on the regular. You want to stop living by the expectations of others and rediscover who you truly are. It's time to win back some peace of mind and self-worth and attract the life you want.
I have the DBT and mindfulness skills, which uses both mind and body exercises that will help you manage the crippling anxiety, love yourself better, be a more present and joyful mom, improve your relationships, and attract the life you want.

I bring both clinical expertise and real-life perspective into my sessions, especially as a mother myself, which allows me to connect with clients in a meaningful and relatable way.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and personalized. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood—no matter how big or small their experiences may feel. By using these proven therapeutic approaches, we will change long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
My name is John A. Llauget. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling from University of South Florida. My career in mental health in 1977 working in a psychiatric hospital; and later as a outpatient therapist in a community mental health center working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I was licensed in Florida in 1986 as a Mental Health Counselor and have maintained my license since that date. Also I have worked as an employee assistance counselor, school counselor, associate professor at an international university, and court evaluator for guardianship cases. For 20 years I worked as a cancer counselor with oncology clients helping them cope with illness, stress, and emotional distress.
Additionally I have maintained a practice and interest in Traditional Okinawan Uechi-Ryu, earning a Masters rank in that system of training. I have used martial training with children & adolescents to develop self-control and self esteem. Later when I began working with an elderly population and clients dealing with physical limitations, I taught Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation as a way to improve their health, well-being, and cope with stress. My therapeutic style centers around getting to know a client, develop trust, and talking more explicitly about issues before making any recommendations. I am a strong advocate of evidence-based treatments and teaching ‘tools’ to cope with stress and emotional difficulties. I have gained training in trauma treatment because we now know that it is prevalent in our life experiences. I value compassion, persistence, and patience in working towards change. I look forward to working with you. I also value your time and want to use it productively in assisting you to reach your therapeutic goals.
