Hi, I'm David Hobbs. I’ve been practicing as a licensed psychologist for more than 25 years, primarily utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy as an effective tool to treat anxiety and depression. As these can be emotionally debilitating conditions, addressing these issues can improve one’s sense of well-being, and thus their lives in general, dramatically. For the past 5 years, I have incorporated spirituality into my treatment regimen, thus addressing that aspect of one's personality in relation to improving their overall sense of emotional well-being. I have recently authored a book, "God is Love, Revelations From Spiritually Transformative Experiences," to help enlighten others who have questions about God and spirituality, and incorporate these lessons into their everyday lives.

I use an integrative approach which draws on several therapeutic orientations. I take the entire person, community, family, socio-economic and cultural aspects that all have an influence on your life circumstances. I then work with you to identify your strengths and build confidence to take on the challenge of change. I have enjoyed 38 years of clinical practice in a variety of settings, and a wide spectrum of ages and cultures. I truly enjoy people and I am certain that I can find a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. Seeking therapy can be scary at first but you are courageous. Whatever your unique situation may be, I look forward to working with you to work on your goals.
I am a licensed psychotherapist dedicated to providing compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based care. I create a supportive, interactive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is tailored to each individual’s unique needs, utilizing proven therapeutic techniques to help clients gain insight, build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting personal growth with confidence and hope. I am bilingual and fluent in English and Farsi (Persian), and I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I work primarily with adults and specialize in health psychology, using a biopsychosocial perspective to understand the connection between physical health, emotions, and daily life. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches, I provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative and nonjudgmental environment where clients can build resilience and create meaningful lasting change.
