I’m a licensed psychotherapist working with adults who may appear high-functioning on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally unsettled beneath the surface. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, self-doubt, or persistent patterns they can’t quite untangle on their own. My style is thoughtful, steady, and insight-oriented. I integrate practical tools for emotional regulation with deeper exploration of relational patterns and attachment dynamics. I believe therapy should feel both grounding and meaningful — a place where you can slow down, understand yourself more clearly, and begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you. Clients often describe me as calm, direct, and attuned. I aim to create a space that feels safe enough for honesty and structured enough for real change. My work focuses not only on reducing symptoms, but on building emotional clarity, stability, and more secure ways of relating — to others and to yourself. Hi, I’m Tara. I’m a professional counselor with 19 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. I became a therapist because I’ve always had a heart for helping people feel seen, heard, understood, and supported—especially during seasons when life feels overwhelming, relationships feel difficult, or you simply aren’t sure what comes next. My approach to therapy is warm, genuine, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I want therapy to feel like a safe place where you can show up as you are without fear of judgment. You don’t need to have the perfect words or know exactly where to begin. We’ll start where you are and figure out the next steps together. I work with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship and family difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, parenting challenges, and communication struggles. I use an individualized approach that may incorporate CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and client-centered therapy. I am also a Registered Play Therapist, and working with children and families is an important part of my practice. I use play and developmentally appropriate approaches to help children express emotions, develop coping skills, and work through experiences in ways that feel natural to them. One phrase that guides much of my work is “Awareness creates choice.” When we begin to understand ourselves, our patterns, and our experiences differently, we create opportunities to make different choices. My goal is for you to leave therapy not only feeling better, but also understanding yourself better and feeling more confident navigating whatever comes next.

As someone who struggled with mental health in the past and sought out help, I have complete understanding and respect for anyone reaching out for assistance. The desire to help others after I was able to overcome struggles is what led me to counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been counseling for ten years now. I have worked with all ages, from children younger than five, to older children, teenagers, and adults. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, parenting issues, family conflict and challenges, relationship issues, and all the different life changes that occur! My practice is a client-focused, person-centered, and humanistic approach. I believe that each person who enters counseling deserves to be understood with empathy, respect, and compassion, and I believe that your relationship and connection with your counselor is key to moving forward. It is our journey together to bring you to the place that you want to be. I use a person-centered talk therapy model with a variety of techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, strength-based approaches, and mindfulness approaches. I have unique experience specializing in using art therapy and other creative avenues and techniques. I also have a specialty in play therapy specifically to work with younger ages, as well as expertise in behavior management, parenting support, and family therapy.

My approach to therapy is solution-focused, compassionate, and centered on helping clients build lasting skills. Rather than simply helping someone get through the current crisis, I want to equip them with the tools they need to navigate future challenges with greater confidence and independence. I focus on identifying and addressing the underlying issues that drive recurring patterns, whether that's unresolved childhood trauma, deeply held negative beliefs about oneself, or other core experiences. My goal is to help clients process those experiences, challenge unhelpful cognitions, and develop healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves. While it's important to acknowledge and address what's happening in a client's life right now, I believe lasting change comes from understanding and working through the deeper patterns that contribute to those challenges. I strive to balance supporting clients through present-day concerns with helping them create meaningful, long-term change.

I am a mental health counselor licensed in Florida with 5 years of work experience. I have experience in helping clients from all walks of life; these include stress, anxiety, anger management, motivation, self esteem, confidence, depression, and coping with life changes. I have served in numerous mental health settings like hospitals, private practice, treatment centers, and community mental health agencies. During these moments, I have worked with numerous populations such as children, adolescents, young adults, older adults, and elders (the elderly). My existence with you in the therapeutic space is to allow you the space to grow, experience nurturing, and reevaluate your understood identities. My name is Shavone Marie Williams-Moss, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I entered the field of social work largely because of my family background; I was raised by a single father while my mother struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues and could not perform her role as a parent. One day as an adult in my 20's, I saw my mother sitting on a bench on the main street in Kentucky. I welcomed her into my home only to discover she not only suffered from homelessness but bipolar disorder, major depression, and substance abuse. My mother lived with me for a year, after which she passed away. This situation made me wonder, what if, in her younger years, she would have met someone who was supportive, understanding, kind, selfless, and invested in helping her be the best version of her, she could be. It was then that I decided to enter the Social Work Field. I wanted to provide help to those who could not help themselves and aid to those in need.

I want to highlight how much being on this site, and looking through profiles is such a significant step toward your mental health goals. Anxiety and improving self image are at the core of my work. I focus on helping clients develop flexible thinking and self-compassion — practical tools that help you step away from self-criticism and patterns that keep life feeling heavy. The goal of this work isn't about becoming a perfect version of yourself. It's about learning to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility, confidence, and self-understanding.

Peace. Happiness. Love. Success. We seek them. We want them. As we see them within reach, we are knocked down by the challenges and difficulties of life. We find, instead, lives that are filled with anxiety, sadness, grief, trauma, loss and failure. I know this too well. I have experienced this in my own life and in the life of my clients. It does not matter where you are in your life. I have had celebrity clients at the top of their field. I have worked with gold medal athletes. I have worked with businessmen and women, housewives, families, adolescents. I have also worked with those who have lost everything to the ravishes of substance use and with men serving life in prison. It is possible to navigate the dangerous waters of life, but you will need a guide. I am that guide. I have excellent education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a wealth of experience. I have over three decades of experience as a husband, father, grandfather, youth pastor, counselor and university professor. I have worked in the church, private practice (in Florida and the Bahamas), community mental health (specializing in crisis and families with at-risk-adolescents), foster care, substance abuse, juvenile justice and the prisons. I have maintained my relevance by teaching at the university level, advising a best-selling author on the psychological aspects of his book, and serving as a consultant to other mental health agencies. I have wonderful experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, challenging children and teenagers, grief, trauma, substance use issues, family and relationship issues, LGBT issues, and other issues and concerns. I have helped my clients find peace with themselves, with others and in their situations. I have helped my clients find happiness, even amid loss. I have helped my clients find belonging and love in healthy and supportive relationships. I have helped my clients increase their ability to succeed by changing their thinking. One of the foundations of my life and my work was written by M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Travelled. He wrote, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths… Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them?” Let’s start today to solve some of life’s problems and to begin to grasp peace, happiness, love and success.

Hello, I'm Amber, a dedicated and compassionate trauma-informed therapist committed to providing a safe and empathetic space for individuals on their healing journey. With a background in psychology and extensive training, I bring a holistic approach that integrates psychodynamic, person-centered, mind-body approach and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to support clients in their path to recovery. Incorporating a mind-body approach in therapy involves recognizing and addressing the interconnectedness of mental and physical health. This approach may include techniques such as mindfulness, deep breathing, or progressive muscle relaxation to help clients become more aware of how their thoughts and emotions influence their physical sensations. By integrating practices that focus on bodily awareness and self-regulation, therapists can help clients manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well-being. My psychodynamic orientation allows me to help clients delve into the unconscious aspects of their psyche, understanding how past experiences shape current thoughts and behaviors. Through this exploration, we work together to identify patterns, gain insight into unresolved conflicts, and promote long-term personal growth. In addition to the psychodynamic approach, I integrate person-centered therapy principles, emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I believe in the inherent goodness and resilience of individuals and strive to create a space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate their unique healing process. Furthermore, my practice incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), focusing on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. This approach allows us to develop practical strategies for coping with the impact of trauma, fostering resilience and promoting positive change. With a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about the latest advancements in trauma treatment, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based and client-centered care. I am here to support you on your journey towards healing, personal empowerment, and a more fulfilling life.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Texas and Florida) I’ve worked with Individuals, Couples, Families of various sizes, with a plethora of sessions on parenting. Nearly 20 years later, it is still a privilege to work with individuals, couples in various stages or phases of their relationship and families of all sizes. I’m often looking for "the funny" in the moment and the world around me. I greatly enjoy sarcasm, snark, and satire. I'm fairly casual but have been told I "Clean up well", and clients have told me in the past they appreciate that I do not come across as "stuffy". I daydream of going on cruises with my wife, occasionally think about bringing our children along. I treasure a long nap in a hammock, and I love movies. Once upon a time I even submitted a short film to the Cannes Film Festival (wasn't selected) but I did enter. Clinically, I work with a foundation of Solution Focus and Systemic Therapy, with attributes of Narrative, Structural and/or Strategic. *** I do not provide animal support letters or ESA documentation, disability-related paperwork, and fit for work evaluation documentation. Additionally, court-mandated evaluations, divorce or custody agreement related paperwork would be out of the scope of my practice, therefore is not something I engage in at this time.

I’m a warm, compassionate therapist who believes you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support. I became a therapist because I’ve seen how anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and the pressure to meet everyone else’s expectations can impact how we see ourselves and move through life. My own experiences, along with my professional background, have shaped the way I connect with clients. I understand that sometimes being the “strong one” can become exhausting, and that setting boundaries or putting yourself first can bring up a lot of guilt. In therapy, I want you to feel comfortable being your whole self without judgment. I take a collaborative and down-to-earth approach, meeting you where you are and helping you develop tools and insight that feel realistic for your life. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin creating a life that feels more balanced and authentic to you.

My name is Amber and I am just your average woman living life in the midwest. I am a wife, mother to 3, soon to be 4 (in September 2026), littles and therapist. I have served all kinds of populations from incarceration to outpatient working with kiddos as young as 3 to adults in their 80s. What you see in session, the laid back, goofy but can be blunt person is who you'd meet on the street if you saw me in public. I believe healing comes from within but also from the people you choose to surround yourself with. Some people have a great support system and others have me as their cheerleader and I strive to be a good one.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin — that's okay. I know that first step can feel like the hardest one to take. All you need is the willingness to take it. I help adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, chronic health conditions, pain, or major life changes reconnect with themselves and feel more in control of their lives. I began my social work career in 2006 in medical social work, hospice, and home health, supporting individuals and families through chronic illness, serious health concerns, loss, and difficult transitions. These experiences shaped my understanding of the deep connection between physical health and emotional well-being. I became a mental health provider because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered. I'm passionate about helping people regain a sense of themselves, find hope, and develop tools to move forward through trauma, stress, and difficult circumstances. Sometimes life simply becomes too much, and it's okay to say, "This is hard," and ask for help. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I primarily work with adults navigating life transitions, chronic health conditions, pain, medical trauma, and traumatic experiences. My approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from EMDR, Brainspotting, clinical hypnosis, IFS-informed and parts-based approaches, Ego State Therapy, Imaginal Nurturing, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), tailored to each client's needs and goals. I believe wellness is holistic — we don't get sick one way, and we don't get well one way. Mental and physical health are deeply connected, and I'm here to support your whole-person well-being through counseling, so you can get back to being you and enjoy life again.

I have a lot of life experience and had several careers before becoming a therapist, and I have traveled extensively. There isn't much I haven't seen or at least heard about. I try to provide a calm, nonjudgmental atmosphere for clients so they can feel free to say whatever is on their mind. Believe me when I say that if you've done a thing or thought about it, someone else has too. You are not alone.

My name is Michael Hutchinson - though I go by Hutch - and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2012, and actively practicing with individuals, couples, and groups since 2018. At the core of my practice is a constructivist approach, treating individuals as experts on themselves as we work to apply the theories of change I endorse to create meaningful/ values-congruent improvements wherever indicated. In my individual work I aim to scaffold skills, concepts, and techniques to ensure that distress is resolved and change is promoted across any number of domains of life. I strive to promote self-determination, and to develop the perspective that all emotions are carriers of information that deserve proactive plans or reassurance through context.

I work with individuals who want to feel more confident, grounded, and fulfilled in their lives. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, stuck, or unsure of how to cope with ongoing stress, relationship struggles, or self-doubt. They’re often caring and capable people who appear to have it together on the outside but feel overwhelmed or disconnected on the inside. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore what’s getting in the way of feeling your best. Together, we’ll work on building coping tools, improving self-esteem, and creating more balanced, authentic relationships. I take a collaborative approach—one that combines compassion with practical strategies—to help you better understand your emotions, break unhelpful patterns, and make lasting change. Therapy with me often involves strengthening emotional awareness, identifying core beliefs, and learning new ways to respond to challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or simply feeling “not enough,” our work focuses on helping you reconnect with your sense of worth and agency. Relationships are a central part of healing, both with others and with yourself. In our sessions, we’ll explore communication, boundaries, and self-trust, helping you develop skills that support healthier, more fulfilling connections. I also integrate mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral strategies to help you stay present, manage stress, and build resilience. Ultimately, I believe therapy is a process of self-discovery—one that helps you move from surviving to truly living. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling understood, empowered, and equipped with the tools you need to navigate life with greater confidence and clarity.

My career started as a classroom teacher and school counselor. I currently have over 20 years of experience working with students and families. In addition to my school counseling career, I am a crisis clinician in a major hospital in the DFW metroplex and work in over 32 emergency rooms providing on-call patient care. We all face unexpected challenges which sometimes leave us feeling hopeless and powerless. I believe that we have the ability to make healthy and appropriate choices regardless of the circumstances in which we may find ourselves. My role as a therapist is to assist and support clients as they learn new ways of coping and adjusting to life’s challenges. Counseling will vary depending upon one’s personality, stage of life, strengths or particular concern. Getting started can feel overwhelming. You have no idea where to even begin. You’ve been putting off therapy because you’re afraid it won’t help. More than anything you’d like to be able to feel happy again. You’d like to be able to put yourself out there more and to create deeper, more meaningful relationships with others. You want to have the courage to be your authentic self without hiding behind a mask.
