Hi there, I'm Stephanie! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from Saint Petersburg, Florida, I extend my reach to the state of California through telehealth services. Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of working closely with both young and older adults who have bravely faced the challenges of anxiety, depression, and life transitions. In my practice, I believe in the power of evidence-based therapies to help my clients navigate their journey towards healing. I draw upon a diverse set of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. By combining these modalities, I have witnessed remarkable progress in my clients, enabling them to experience brighter and more fulfilling day-to-day lives. When you choose to work with me, you can expect a safe and non-judgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions. Together, we will embark on a transformative journey, tackling life's challenges with the support of evidence-based research and a compassionate ear. Whether you are seeking relief from anxiety, a path to overcome depression, or simply someone to confide in, I am here for you every step of the way. Don't let life's obstacles hold you back any longer. Take the first step towards a more balanced and fulfilling life by reaching out to me today. Together, we will unlock your true potential and help you thrive.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend time talking about how you have been feeling, and how this has affected you lately, and for me to ask questions to better understand why you are feeling this way and listening. The first session is about building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of what is important to you and where you would like to go from there. I treat everyone as an individual, I like to listen and ask questions to help me know what will work best for you in our therapy sessions together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have always naturally been drawn to helping people through difficult times. I have found that being honest, personable, and accommodating are my biggest strengths and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. I enjoy seeing individuals become the best version of themselves.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Do you struggle with unhelpful thoughts or beliefs about either yourself or a particular person? Do your emotions hold you back from living up to your full potential? I use CBT to focus on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to help you identify and challenge negative or unhelp thoughts by replacing them with more realistic and positive thoughts to improve your emotional well-being and more effective problem-solving skills!

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Ever feel caught up in judgment or reactivity? Does your reaction when faced with a challenging situation or difficult emotion make your breathing abnormal or mind to spiral? In mindfulness-based therapy you are encouraged to cultivate a state of mindfulness by focusing on your breath, thoughts, or emotions as they arise in the present moment to help you develop self-awareness instead of reacting impulsively to foster greater emotional regulation.

Psychodynamic

Have you ever wondered if your past experiences may be influencing your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors? Would you like to work towards making conscious choices and developing healthier ways of relating to yourself and others? I use psychodynamic therapy to help you gain insight into unresolved conflicts or patterns in your life by reflecting on your past experiences and relationships, paying attention to recurring themes or emotions to make positive changes in how you treat both yourself and others.
