I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with six years of private practice experience helping teens and adults navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, and life’s challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual, using evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and other modalities that best fit each client’s needs. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in schools, nursing homes, and with individuals of varying abilities and backgrounds, giving me experience supporting people across all stages of life. I believe everyone has unique strengths, and sometimes those strengths simply need to be rediscovered and nurtured to help move through difficult seasons with confidence and resilience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll take time to talk about what’s been weighing on you, what you’re experiencing emotionally, and what brought you to therapy. I’ll work to understand your unique needs, strengths, and goals so we can create a plan that feels right for you. We’ll also discuss practical tools and homework that fit your lifestyle and personality. I believe therapy is most effective when the work continues between sessions, helping you build momentum and see positive changes more quickly. My goal is to provide support, guidance, and helpful resources along the way. By the end of our first session, I hope you leave feeling heard, understood, and a little lighter—with a clearer sense of direction and confidence that you’re moving toward the changes you want to make.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Life can be hard, and I know that not just from my professional experience, but from my personal journey as well. I’ve experienced different financial situations, family struggles, and life challenges that have taught me a lot about resilience, growth, and starting over when needed. I believe we all have strengths inside us, even during the times when we can’t see them ourselves. Sometimes we just need someone in our corner to help us sort through our thoughts, learn healthier ways to cope, and gain a clearer understanding of what’s getting in the way. My style is warm, honest, and supportive. I’ll help you recognize your strengths, challenge unhelpful patterns, and encourage you to take meaningful steps toward the life you want. My goal is to help you feel empowered, capable, and confident in creating lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Teens coping with anxiety, pressures from performance and peers. Teenage years are tougher than ever with pressure mounting from academics to sports. Discovering who you are and nurturing that growth while finding peace is what I enjoy workingwith my clients to achieve. Adults moving into new stages in their life from empty nesters, divorce, starting over careers or retiring. Working with my clients on this new chapter, this new version of themselves is exciting. Change is beautiful once you can be aware of all the beauty and opportunity brings. Supporting adults dealing with infidelity and "walking" with them through the journey of healing and discovering peace is a gift.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For the past six years, I’ve used CBT to help clients make sense of what’s going on in their minds and how it impacts their emotions, relationships, and daily lives. Sometimes we get caught in negative thought loops that leave us feeling anxious, discouraged, or stuck. Together, we learn to recognize those patterns, challenge them, and create healthier ways of thinking so clients can feel more balanced, empowered, and able to move forward with confidence.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

For the past six years, I’ve used EFT to help clients get beneath the surface of what they’re feeling. Often, emotions like anger, anxiety, or sadness are trying to tell us something important. Together, we explore those feelings with curiosity rather than judgment, helping clients better understand themselves and their needs. When people learn to connect with their emotions instead of fighting them, they often feel more confident, more connected to others, and more at ease in their daily lives.

Motivational Interviewing

I’ve used Motivational Interviewing to help clients work through the feeling of being stuck between where they are and where they want to be. Change can be hard, even when we know it’s what we need. Rather than giving advice or telling clients what to do, I help them discover their own reasons for change and build on the strengths they already have. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch clients gain clarity, confidence, and motivation as they begin taking steps toward the life they envision for themselves.

Strength-Based

One of my favorite treatment methods I’ve used is a strengths-based approach to help clients focus not just on what’s wrong, but on what’s already right. When people are going through a difficult time, it’s easy to forget how much they’ve already survived and accomplished. I enjoy helping clients recognize their strengths, resilience, and inner resources so they can build confidence and move forward with greater hope. Sometimes the most powerful part of therapy is helping someone see in themselves what others have seen all along.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I’ve used Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients shift their focus from feeling stuck in a problem to discovering what might help move them forward. Instead of asking, ‘What’s wrong with me?’ we often explore questions like, ‘What’s working?’ and ‘What would life look like if things were better?’ I enjoy helping clients uncover their own solutions, recognize their progress, and take manageable steps toward the changes they want to see in their lives. Sometimes even a small shift in perspective can create meaningful change.
