Hi! My name is Shalom Adler ,and I am excited to be a part of the Grow Therapy team. We all want to live a meaningful and stress-free life, and while I cannot guarantee that you will not experience stress (we all do), I can help you navigate and cope with all that life throws at you. As the great psychiatrist Viktor Frankl says, “There is nothing in the world … that would so effectively help one to survive even the worst conditions as the knowledge that there is a meaning in one's life.” I have over thirty years of experience in helping, guiding and counseling individuals, couples and families. I treat everyone the way I would like to be treated, with respect, compassion, dignity and empathy. I have faced my own mental health challenges over the years, and this gives me a unique perspective that will help me help you. I will not attempt to model you in my image, but I will work as hard as I can to help you reach your fullest potential and overcome your own challenges. I will meet you where you are and evaluate your strengths and needs. We will work collaboratively to achieve your goals and aspirations.

Peace. Happiness. Love. Success. We seek them. We want them. As we see them within reach, we are knocked down by the challenges and difficulties of life. We find, instead, lives that are filled with anxiety, sadness, grief, trauma, loss and failure. I know this too well. I have experienced this in my own life and in the life of my clients. It does not matter where you are in your life. I have had celebrity clients at the top of their field. I have worked with gold medal athletes. I have worked with businessmen and women, housewives, families, adolescents. I have also worked with those who have lost everything to the ravishes of substance use and with men serving life in prison. It is possible to navigate the dangerous waters of life, but you will need a guide. I am that guide. I have excellent education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a wealth of experience. I have over three decades of experience as a husband, father, grandfather, youth pastor, counselor and university professor. I have worked in the church, private practice (in Florida and the Bahamas), community mental health (specializing in crisis and families with at-risk-adolescents), foster care, substance abuse, juvenile justice and the prisons. I have maintained my relevance by teaching at the university level, advising a best-selling author on the psychological aspects of his book, and serving as a consultant to other mental health agencies. I have wonderful experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, challenging children and teenagers, grief, trauma, substance use issues, family and relationship issues, LGBT issues, and other issues and concerns. I have helped my clients find peace with themselves, with others and in their situations. I have helped my clients find happiness, even amid loss. I have helped my clients find belonging and love in healthy and supportive relationships. I have helped my clients increase their ability to succeed by changing their thinking. One of the foundations of my life and my work was written by M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Travelled. He wrote, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths… Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them?” Let’s start today to solve some of life’s problems and to begin to grasp peace, happiness, love and success.

Originally, I had dreams of becoming a medical doctor but, always believed that a person's overall wellness is dependent upon both physical and psychological health. However, during the latter part of my undergraduate studies, unexpected life events led to an impactful shift in focus, and I felt called to a more specific purpose regarding caring for people. I then pivoted and shifted my studies, ultimately achieving a Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University where I majored in Psychology and minored in Biology. Always staying true to my heart I executed the shift from biological to psychological health where I enrolled in Graduate school and received a Master’s degree in Psychology from Carlos Albizu University. While at Carlos Albizu I studied a dual major in Mental Health and Marriage & Family Therapy. I completed my Practicum at Milestones to Recovery where I found my passion for treating individuals with eating disorders, women's issues, addictions, and substance use disorders. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field and substance abuse treatment. In my pursuit of being part of someone's healing and learning about people, I have held multiple professional roles throughout the years, starting as a primary therapist at the residential, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient therapist at both eating disorder and substance use treatment programs. Later transitioned along the way to lead therapist, supervisor, program director roles, and Chief of Operations. For the past six years, I have served in many clinical roles and lastly as the Chief Clinical Officer for a well-established non-profit addiction treatment center in Delray Beach.

I am doctoral-trained therapist who integrates evidenced based clinical practices in ways that can meet your unique needs/challenges. For instance, I will utilize your strengths, resources and culture in order to explore problems from multiple vantage points. And, I will develop a treatment plan that incorporates co-existing issues. Whether you are experiencing family problems, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or another issue, I will facilitate conversations where solutions to the problem become more accessible and visible: I believe my clients have the capacity and agency to take actions that are right for them. These are times of uncertainty and challenges for many people. Each person, relationship and family is impacted differently. I am trained to work with individuals, couples, children and families; hence, I am prepared to offer you or your family comprehensive and holistic recommendations. This can be that first step toward an experience where the destination will be determined by each of you. If this speaks to you, I invite you to contact me and schedule a consultation.

As a licensed therapist with over 30 years of experience, I help clients navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and practical tools for lasting change. My practice is trauma-informed and affirming, meaning I recognize the ways past experiences, identity, and systemic stress can shape emotional wellbeing—and I hold space for all of it without judgment. I specialize in supporting adults facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, burnout, grief, identity exploration, and relationship struggles. I also have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ clients, veterans, healthcare workers, and nonprofit leaders—people who often carry a unique blend of resilience and emotional burden. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to understand yourself better, therapy with me offers a safe place to explore what matters most. Clients who work with me often say they feel deeply seen and empowered to make meaningful shifts in their lives. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. Instead, I tailor our work to your needs, drawing from a variety of approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, insight-based work, and solution-focused strategies. My goal is to help you build self-awareness, develop healthy coping patterns, and create the kind of life and relationships that feel true to you. Healing doesn’t always happen in big moments—it’s often found in the quiet recognition that you deserve to take up space, to rest, to feel, and to grow. I’m here to walk with you in that process.

I would describe myself as a goofy and radically empathetic therapist that struggles with severe ADHD and also anxiety. Not to mention the grief! I am big on being vulnerable myself. We must lead by example. I also am a strong believer in the power of connection. If you cannot connect with your therapist, research says that therapy is not likely to be effective. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship above all else. That is my foundation. That means I pride myself on not being a robot. I cannot believe I have to say this, but many students in therapy have told me that they have had robotic therapist. That is not me. I believe the most powerful therapeutic techniques are empathy and unconditional love, and those are the values I do my best to display consistently. I currently provide individual counseling to students at Miami Dade College and I have found that I really enjoy working with college students that recently graduated from high school. I find that the world treats them cruelly at such an overwhelming time of their lives and they deserve unconditional love, not tough love.

Hi, I’m Renée Rivers, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, trauma therapist, and the founder of Reflective Rivers Therapy & Consulting. I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families heal from relational wounds, navigate life transitions, and reconnect with their authentic selves. As both a clinician and community advocate, I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel emotionally safe, culturally understood, and empowered to grow. My approach is person-centered and grounded in Internal Family Systems, which means I believe healing begins with compassion, not judgment. Whether you're carrying the weight of past trauma, struggling in your relationships, or feeling disconnected from who you are, I’ll walk alongside you with curiosity, care, and respect for your lived experience. You won’t be pushed or pathologized here. Instead, I’ll help you slow down, listen inward, and develop the tools and insight needed to move forward with clarity and confidence. As a mother, survivor, and therapist, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience into the room. My work is deeply rooted in cultural humility, emotional attunement, and a belief that repair is always possible both within ourselves and in our relationships. If you're ready to begin (or return to) the work of healing, I’d be honored to hold space for you.
