Hi!
I was born in Puerto Rico, but I have been living in the United States since 1990. I graduated with my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from D’Youville College in Buffalo NY, then with my Master in Social Work at the University at Buffalo. I started my career as a Bi-Lingual Dual Disorder therapist at an outpatient agency in Buffalo NY. Moving to Florida in 2014, I worked with individuals who have been diagnosed with alcohol and/or substance misuse who have been linked with the court system, as well as working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced complex trauma. I have experience in working as a program manager providing guidance and clinical direction to other therapists, as well as providing therapeutic services to individuals within the LGBTQAI+ community and those who have been impacted by an HIV diagnosis. Throughout my career I have been able to gain knowledge on different types of diagnoses and resources in order to assist in improving individuals overall well-being in a holistic way.

I value creating a space where people can feel safe enough to slow down, be themselves, and feel genuinely understood. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real human connection; built on trust, respect, and a steady sense of care. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity about each person’s unique experience, rather than assumptions or quick judgments.
I aim to meet you where you are, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply unsure of what you need right now. I pay close attention not only to what you’re going through, but also to the strengths, values, and inner resources that have helped you get through difficult moments. Therapy with me is not about having everything figured out; it’s about making sense of things together at a pace that feels manageable and safe.
I bring a thoughtful approach that balances support with insight. At times, this may include reflecting patterns you might not have noticed before or inviting new perspectives when it feels helpful. I often share practical tools, strategies, and resources from evidence-based and relational practices that can support you outside of sessions and help translate insight into everyday life.
At the heart of my work is the belief that people don’t have to go through things alone. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or a general sense that something feels off, therapy can be a place to feel more grounded, connected, and understood. My hope is that our work together helps you build clarity, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of direction in your life.
If you’re looking for a space where you can show up as you are and be met with warmth, care, and thoughtful guidance, I would be honored to create that space.

I have more than 30 years of experience in the mental health field trained at the doctoral and master's levels. I am a clinical social worker, therapist & life coach. I collaborate with clients in facilitating their ability to navigate their journey through change. I provide clients the opportunity to learn, change and grow, and I provide guidance for them to learn healthy adaptive ways to improve their response to encounters with life stressors and challenging life situations. Clients are engaged in various evidence based therapeutic interventions and the exploration and discovery of their untapped potential, so they can harness the necessary skills and strategies to facilitate behavioral change.
In the scope of my practice I aim to empower clients through sessions that are based on a holistic, client driven approach. I view clients through the lens of their personal environment, as their well-being is significantly shaped by their life experiences. In addressing clients presenting issues, I take into consideration the correlation between their presenting issues and their environment; i.e., social, cultural and physical, that contribute to current challenging life circumstances. Focus is given to past experiences and current situations to help them navigate their therapy encounter and future successfully.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Texas and Florida) I’ve worked with Individuals, Couples, Families of various sizes, with a plethora of sessions on parenting. Nearly 20 years later, it is still a privilege to work with individuals, couples in various stages or phases of their relationship and families of all sizes.
I’m often looking for "the funny" in the moment and the world around me. I greatly enjoy sarcasm, snark, and satire. I'm fairly casual but have been told I "Clean up well", and clients have told me in the past they appreciate that I do not come across as "stuffy".
I daydream of going on cruises with my wife, occasionally think about bringing our children along. I treasure a long nap in a hammock, and I love movies. Once upon a time I even submitted a short film to the Cannes Film Festival (wasn't selected) but I did enter.
Clinically, I work with a foundation of Solution Focus and Systemic Therapy, with attributes of Narrative, Structural and/or Strategic.
*** I do not provide animal support letters or ESA documentation, disability-related paperwork, and fit for work evaluation documentation. Additionally, court-mandated evaluations, divorce or custody agreement related paperwork would be out of the scope of my practice, therefore is not something I engage in at this time.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to go through life’s challenges alone. I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

I’m a warm, compassionate therapist who believes you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support. I became a therapist because I’ve seen how anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and the pressure to meet everyone else’s expectations can impact how we see ourselves and move through life.
My own experiences, along with my professional background, have shaped the way I connect with clients. I understand that sometimes being the “strong one” can become exhausting, and that setting boundaries or putting yourself first can bring up a lot of guilt.
In therapy, I want you to feel comfortable being your whole self without judgment. I take a collaborative and down-to-earth approach, meeting you where you are and helping you develop tools and insight that feel realistic for your life. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin creating a life that feels more balanced and authentic to you.

I like to help people work towards the best version of themselves and to gain independence by pushing past their limitations. As a therapist, I help you become the best version of yourself. My job is to give you the skills to manage difficulties when they occur. Situations occur that you may not feel equipped to handle. I’m a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience, specializing in anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their challenges and work towards meaningful personal growth. My goal is to assist you in navigating life changes, overcoming obstacles, and achieving a more fulfilling and happier life. I am dedicated to providing compassionate and understanding support throughout your therapeutic journey.
I predominantly work with young men struggling with social anxiety disorder. Do you struggle with social anxiety and poor self-confidence? I know that overcoming it is possible! Many come to therapy for social anxiety because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. Often this manifests in feelings of poor self-confidence, poor self-worth, and poor self-confidence. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. Over time clients begin to avoid situations that elicit their anxiety, particularly social situations. This can lead to social isolation and loneliness. Clients will present with complaints of frequent panic attacks, not having a romantic partner, not having friends, not being happy in their jobs and feeling disconnected from life.
