Hello, I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am based in Connecticut. I help adults in underserved, marginalized areas who are struggling with addiction, trauma, mental health, and racism. Together, we can turn obstacles into opportunities.
Hi, I’m Sam, a Licensed Professional Counselor here in Connecticut. I grew up in Alabama and earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Montevallo. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting kids, teens, and families through some of life’s toughest challenges.
I’ve had the privilege of working with young people facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, attachment struggles, and substance use. I also work closely with clients who are living with chronic illnesses, as well as those exploring and affirming their LGBTQ+ identities. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood—no matter what you’re going through.
As a therapist, my approach is grounded, conversational, and free of judgment. Clients often tell me it feels like talking to someone who “gets it,” while still being guided in a way that creates real change. You don’t have to have the perfect words, the perfect mood, or the perfect version of yourself when you show up. Simply come as you are.
Hello, I’m Kelly, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over fifteen years of experience supporting adults through life’s challenges. I completed my Master’s degree in 2003 and became licensed in 2007. Throughout my career, I’ve helped individuals with stress, anxiety, depression, helping them find clarity, balance, and renewed confidence. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. I believe therapy works best when you feel truly heard and respected. Together, we focus on understanding what’s weighing on you and identifying practical ways to improve your outlook and emotional well-being. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and emotions while building skills that support meaningful change. I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and develop practical tools that can be used outside of sessions. My goal is to help you feel empowered, capable, and more confident in navigating life’s challenges.
I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself, my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard.
My name is Stephanie (or Stevie, either is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 5 years (prior to that, in person). I have a deep passion and respect for the power of therapy to change lives, which I have been privileged to witness in my work with clients, as well as in my personal life, both through the consistent use of therapy as part of my own self-care, as well as having spent the last 20 years raising two children with special needs. If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your symptoms and help you experience a present that is not overshadowed by your past.
I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-worth, but work with other conditions as well.

I am enrolled in the PsyD doctoral program at California Southern University and am scheduled to graduate in 05/2025.
I have 23 years of experience as an educator, counselor, career counselor, and researcher in psychology. As a licensed MFT therapist, my expertise is in the areas of substance abuse, prison populations, AB109s (felons)/290s (sex offenders), anger management, domestic violence, career counseling, and parenting supervision. In addition to individual, couples, and family counseling, I have experience with specific populations, such as transgender and LGBTQ, with a particular cultural emphasis on identity formation.
I have worked closely with psychiatrists regarding members who require medication management and assessments, diagnosing and creating for those individuals, couples, and family's treatment plans counseling services. My clientele ranges from 6 to 75 years of age, and my therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Narrative therapy, and Supportive therapy. Hey! I’m Jodeci Oquendo, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Connecticut. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph in Connecticut and have spent the past 9 years working with children, teens, adults, and families in a variety of clinical settings. My name is Aaron Krikorian, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a decade of experience providing therapy to adults. I take a nonjudgmental and supportive approach to treatment, creating a space where patients feel safe to explore and grow. I have extensive knowledge and experience in working with trauma (including complex trauma), anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, and attachment-related challenges.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who has worked for the past 8+ years in an outpatient program for mental health and substance use. These years have introduced me to various concerns which include mood dysregulation, anxiety, crisis intervention, family conflict, trauma, substance use and abuse, along with severe mental health symptoms and more. I worked in leadership along with holding a clinical caseload so that I can best support the needs of all that entered the building while also supporting the clinical staff and providing guidance so they can confidently help those in need. We live in a world where people gravitate toward a quick fix, that is obvious with the prevalence of addiction. Working in the substance use field led to me focusing more on holistic approaches. It's important to remind people that there are ways that we can address our own symptoms, feel better and have lasting effects rather than that quick fix. In addition, my graduate school experience was working with children ages 5-18, another passion of mine which I look forward to doing again.

Insurance:
Individuals, couples, and families: Services not clinically indicated are not always covered by insurance if the primary client/patient is not experiencing a medical necessity. Here's a few examples:
1. Most insurance plans don’t cover marriage counseling because it’s not considered a "medical necessity." That doesn’t mean therapy isn’t valuable, just that insurance companies tend to focus on diagnosed mental health conditions rather than relationship issues.
2. Life coaching or career coaching — focused on professional development rather than treating a mental health condition
3. General stress management without a diagnosed disorder — for example, “I just feel stressed” without a clinical diagnosis
4. Self-improvement or personal growth sessions aimed at building confidence, public speaking skills, or lifestyle changes
5. Vague or exploratory therapy without a clear diagnosis or treatment plan
6. Non-essential wellness or “feel-good” therapy not tied to a specific mental health need
