Therapy I feel is a chance to learn and shift patterns in our lives. Relationships are a key part of life but are difficult on many levels and we learn the way that we communicate with other from our experience. Learning and understanding that experience can help us make the changes that we would like to see in life. I believe in having an open space free from judgement were people can explore who they are and learn how to use that to change their lives and their relationships with others. I work with people from all different perspectives and believe that we are the products of our experience and that we can find ways to change the patterns that are not helpful for us. Communication is key in relationships but it is something that we have trouble with but are not always aware of the impact. Learning patterns, identifying the meaning that we put to our experiences and seeing our strengths are ways that allow us to become the person that we want to be without losing who we are.
The first session I like to gather information about what brings you to therapy, a little about your history, and goals. I like most exploring the motivation behind therapy and the hope of the changes and how it would impact your life. First session is often a little anxiety provoking for people so I like to focus on direction and identify goals that are going to aid people to become the best version of themselves rather then to become a different person.
I believe in being real and human, no one is perfect and we do not need to be. A large part of life is learning about ourselves and how to use that knowledge to build the life we want. I believe in being real, non-judgmental, and having a sense of humor are the most important aspects as a provider.
I work with individuals, couples, and families on a wide variety of struggles from trauma, LGBTQIA, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Life changes and transitions, and relationship struggles of all types. My goal is to work with my clients to make changes that fit for their life and are practical in order to support the ability to maintain change long term. I use a variety of types of therapy based on what works best for the individual, couple, or family.

Kept us on track, especially when emotions ran high. Very pragmatic feedback and appreciated that she engaged in the situation more directly than others providers... she could share insights.
