About me

Hi, I’m Laurie. Are you ready to explore your own inner healing and reconnect with a sense of peace and wholeness? I offer a holistic, mindful, and compassionate approach to therapy that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you can feel seen, understood, and empowered to heal and grow. In our sessions, we’ll bring gentle awareness to the parts of you that are asking for care and attention. You’ll learn strategies to regulate your emotions, nurture self-compassion, and respond to life’s challenges from a more grounded and centered place. If you experience feelings of overwhelm, stress, or emotional dysregulation, therapy can be a supportive environment to process and integrate these emotions without becoming consumed by them. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience as a school social worker supporting children, adolescents, and families. I am also a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator through Copper Beech Institute and hold certification in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy from The Embody Lab. My approach weaves together mindfulness, somatic awareness, and evidence-based practices to support healing on every level—mind, body, and heart. I believe that when we bring awareness to how our bodies hold emotion and experience, we begin to unravel old patterns and open to a deeper sense of freedom and peace. If you’re seeking a space to reconnect with yourself and move toward healing and wholeness, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my intention is to get to know you — not just your current challenges, but the fuller picture of who you are. I may ask some general questions to understand your needs, your goals, and what has led you here. I’ll also share more about myself and my approach so you have a sense of what our work together might feel like. My goal is to begin building a genuine connection and to create a space where you can feel safe, seen, and comfortable opening your heart. This first conversation is the foundation for the healing work we’ll do together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths as a therapist lie in my ability to form deep, authentic connections and to offer genuine empathy and compassion to those I work with. I bring extensive experience supporting educators and mental health professionals who have experienced vicarious trauma and burnout, helping them reconnect with their purpose and inner resilience. I also specialize in working with parents who feel overwhelmed and are longing to rediscover themselves and their passions, so they can return to a greater sense of balance and peace. In addition, I hold a deep passion for walking alongside those who are grieving. Together, we’ll create space to honor and integrate your loss, while gently discovering ways to find comfort, meaning, and relief from suffering.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are dealing with life transitions, grieving a loss, or coping with general life stressors (such as job or family related stressors.) I also enjoy working with clients who are looking for coping skills and strategies for emotional regulation. I work best with clients who are looking for authentic connection and a relaxed approach. I may not be a good fit for someone looking for a more traditional or structured approach.
