Welcome and thanks for stopping in. My name is Kristy, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and my pronouns are she/her/hers. My ancestry is both Native American and northern European. I have been working in this field since 2013 and I have seen how overwhelming life can feel these days. There are so many pressures at home, at school and work, with your relationships and in society at large! Have you been feeling stressed, anxious, and/or worried about your future? Perhaps you feel consumed with thoughts about how you compare to others and what others think of you? Is your mind full of racing thoughts about how you just might not be good enough? Or perhaps there is a relentless inner critic that won't let you off the hook? I know how this feels because I have been there myself and I can tell you it does not have to be this way. You can learn to develop a different kind of relationship with yourself: One in which you can learn how the mind works & how to navigate its unhelpful & painful patterns more effectively; one in which you can discover how to approach yourself with kindness & support--the way you would a good friend in pain; one in which you uncover your strengths, gifts & values and allow this self-knowledge to help you make decisions in your life of which you feel proud. Are you feeling ready to dive deeper into your unconscious patterns that are affecting the way you live? Are you thinking you do not want to do some of the same ineffective things in your life that perhaps your caregivers did? I invite you to reach out to begin this deeper exploration.

You've always been the strong one. Right? As a bilingual Asian therapist (English/Mandarin), I currently work as an inpatient mental health clinician at Kaiser Permanente in California, supporting adults through acute mental health crises. Before this, I spent over four years at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Community Psychiatry Program in Baltimore Maryland, where I walked alongside adults through their darkest and brightest chapters — from life’s most overwhelming moments to recovery and the gradual return of joy. Through that experience, I witnessed how someone could radiate warmth for everyone around them while quietly burning out within. I specialize in supporting high-functioning individuals navigating people-pleasing, social anxiety, and interpersonal burnout, whether that shows up as persistent self-doubt, intrusive thoughts that feel impossible to shake, or an overwhelming need to keep others happy at your own expense. You are not alone, and it doesn't have to stay this way. I draw on an integrative approach across CBT, ERP, MI, and EMDR, tailored to who you are, where you have been, and where you want to go, committed to providing a safe and nurturing space for you to explore, heal, and grow. Please note I am only available for therapy appointments on Fridays. Please also note that documentation requests, including FMLA and ESA letters, require a full clinical assessment prior to completion and cannot be guaranteed at intake. In addition, my practice focuses on voluntary, client-initiated therapy. I do NOT provide forensic or court-mandated treatment, including evaluations or treatment ordered as part of legal proceedings. Clients seeking court-ordered services are best served by a provider who specializes in forensic work. I love partnering with people on their journey to greatness. I use a strengths-based approach to help my clients see the choices that are always at their disposal to unlearn past harmful messaging or combat unrelenting present symptoms. As a Black woman, I always integrate the importance of diversity. Playing small to blend in doesn't serve anyone. Whether we're different based on external or internal attributes, we all need to embrace our beautiful and different qualities so that we can live an authentic life. My work also focuses on boundaries, challenging thoughts, and improving communication skills. I integrate role plays, affirmations, accountability, and direct introspection exercises to aid clients in quieting the noise of societal norms to embrace their true joy. All sessions are client-focused, I don't come with my own agenda. I'm excited to help you live life with confidence on your own terms. I look forward to working with you.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin — that's okay. I know that first step can feel like the hardest one to take. All you need is the willingness to take it. I help adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, chronic health conditions, pain, or major life changes reconnect with themselves and feel more in control of their lives. I began my social work career in 2006 in medical social work, hospice, and home health, supporting individuals and families through chronic illness, serious health concerns, loss, and difficult transitions. These experiences shaped my understanding of the deep connection between physical health and emotional well-being. I became a mental health provider because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered. I'm passionate about helping people regain a sense of themselves, find hope, and develop tools to move forward through trauma, stress, and difficult circumstances. Sometimes life simply becomes too much, and it's okay to say, "This is hard," and ask for help. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I primarily work with adults navigating life transitions, chronic health conditions, pain, medical trauma, and traumatic experiences. My approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from EMDR, Brainspotting, clinical hypnosis, IFS-informed and parts-based approaches, Ego State Therapy, Imaginal Nurturing, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), tailored to each client's needs and goals. I believe wellness is holistic — we don't get sick one way, and we don't get well one way. Mental and physical health are deeply connected, and I'm here to support your whole-person well-being through counseling, so you can get back to being you and enjoy life again.

I’m a therapist who genuinely enjoys getting to know people and understanding what makes them who they are. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, chronic pain, trauma, life transitions, or sometimes just feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. My approach is collaborative and flexible because I don’t think therapy should look exactly the same for everyone. I draw from approaches like ACT, CBT, DBT, attachment-based and psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing depending on what you’re working through and what feels useful to you. Sometimes that means learning practical tools or finding a different way to respond to difficult thoughts and emotions. Other times, it means slowing down and looking at patterns, relationships, past experiences, or the things that may be happening underneath the surface. I want therapy to feel comfortable, honest, and real. You may come in knowing exactly what you want to work on, or you may need some time to figure that out. Either way, we’ll start with what feels important to you and go from there.

Do you overthink, replay conversations, revisit past decisions, predict problems, spiral, or get stuck in patterns that create conflict or keep you avoiding what needs to be addressed? You are thoughtful, observant, and more capable than you may currently feel. But the same mind that notices details, thinks ahead, and considers different possibilities can go into overdrive. You may feel on edge much of the time, dwell on the past, get irritated by small things, feel flat, or disconnect from things you once enjoyed. You may be going through this on your own or in a relationship with someone dealing with some of the same things. You may avoid difficult conversations, put off issues, or end up in the same conflict. Shame, fear of rejection, or trouble communicating can make it difficult to say what you really think or need. We can work on skills to communicate better, explore the expectations you bring to relationships, and recognize roles and patterns you keep replaying. Those roles may have served you long ago, but they may need revision now. I am Ramy Danon, a USC-trained Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 20 years of experience. Therapy with me is a real conversation. I listen carefully, ask questions, and tell you honestly what I see. I work with men, women, and couples, and I adapt the work to what is really bothering you and what you actually want to address. I also taught university and college students for 19 years. I love helping people recognize their abilities and expand what they believe is possible. I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone, especially if you struggle to ask for help. Getting started may be the hardest part. I am eager to learn about what is bothering you.

Hi there and great job on taking that first step in considering if therapy is right for you. I invite you to come with me on a journey of your own choosing where we will walk together in darkness to find the light you’ve been seeking. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Whether you choose me or another therapist, make the choice to just give it a try. Sometimes all you need is another person to hold the light while you do the work you need to heal.

Life can feel overwhelming when you’re carrying everything alone. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and work through anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, life transitions, and emotional burnout with clarity and care. I help clients reach their goals by creating a collaborative, structured, and supportive therapeutic process that is tailored to their individual needs, strengths, and life experiences. At the beginning of treatment, we work together to identify clear and meaningful goals that reflect what the client hopes to change, improve, or better understand.
