Hello and welcome. First of all, I would like to congratulate you on your courage to take the first step in selecting a therapist. The thought of sharing intimate thoughts, struggles, and personal experiences can be overwhelming and frightening. I hope to help you feel confident that you have come to the right place to express your needs and work on feeling better. I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) from California. I have over 12 years experience in providing services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, trauma, and other challenges. I have had the pleasure of working in various settings. For about seven years, I worked at a community mental health agency treating children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of needs especially those who have experienced trauma. I have found that each individual comes with their unique story and background. My first experience using telehealth was during the pandemic. With the increase of mental health needs, I discovered the importance of being able to provide services through the telehealth platform. It inspired me to continue to reach those clients who desire telehealth for various reasons. Life can be busy with schedules and finding time for therapy is not always easy. Telehealth can make therapy a little easier.

Thank you for stopping by! A little about myself. I am licensed in both California and Oregon. I am available for virtual sessions for all clients and a physical office in Salem, Oregon for in-person sessions. My virtual and in-office hours are typically Monday through Thursday, 10am-6pm. I am a mother to three adult children, a Nana to 5 and dog mom to 2 Jack Russel's. I grew up in foster care and was adopted in my teens. That path led me through my own therapeutic journey as I struggled with depression and anxiety. As I found wellness, I launched into social work professionally to support youth and families, and eventually here, as a licensed therapist. I have been working with Individuals and families in various therapeutic settings for over 25 years, supporting those who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment/bonding issues, life stage challenges, and relationship conflicts to name a few. I find myself continually in awe of the resilience of the human spirit. I am honored with the trust my clients offer me as they process thoughts and feelings around their challenges as we journey together to find answers that make sense and solutions that work.

My name is Uchechi Alozie. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach to therapy is seeing my clients within their environment and not just the issues they are presenting. My approach is to aid my clients holistically. I have worked with family units for more than 10 years and have worked with individuals with chronic mental illness for 6 years. I am used to working with families with different dynamics. I have a background in child welfare services, so I am very familiar with the trauma that comes from familial interpersonal relationships. I have also worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting with individuals suffering from debilitating chronic mental illness, which has given me experience working with complex mental health needs and individuals during some of the most vulnerable periods of their lives. In addition to my clinical background, my education and training in law have broadened my understanding of the systems that can impact individuals and families and have further shaped the holistic perspective I bring to my work.

You may notice patterns that don’t make sense, feel stuck in survival mode, or carry a heaviness you can’t quite name. Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what’s beneath the surface, and begin responding to life with more clarity and self-compassion. You don’t have to navigate difficult seasons alone—healing is possible, and support can make the path forward feel more steady and manageable. Couples: I am TAKING Couples again. However only on Cash Pay basis. This is how it will work: You can schedule with me an hour consultation, you don't both have to be present, for this Consultation. From there we will meet 5 to 6 times for 1.5 hour sessions. It is very difficult to have Couples sessions within 60 min. The Cash pay is $250.00 for the 1.5 hour sessions. I understand the cost can be a deterrent in seeking help, however if you are both committed to doing the work 5 to 6 sessions should be productive and enough to see changes. Individuals: Of course I am still taking individuals that are or are not in a relationship and need help. We were never taught how to be in a relationship of any kind. Yes there are tons of books of how to, however to put them to practical use can be very difficult. This can also relate to a relationship with a family member, friends or co-workers. Sometimes our own mental health can influence all of our relationships, and you may need coping techniques for anxiety and or depression type symptoms. I will work with you individually to help you gain insight to your own behavior that may be influencing your relationship. I am here to help with coping strategies for anxiety and depression symptoms or learning how to communicate more effectively with others.
