Hello, I’m Kim Paylor, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), school counselor, and clinical supervisor with a diverse background in mental health, education, case management, and student support services. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with children, teens, adults, veterans, families, and young adults across school, community, and clinical settings. My experience includes working as a school counselor, special education resource teacher, therapist in private practice and telehealth settings, and clinical case manager within the HUD-VASH program supporting veterans. Prior to entering the mental health field, I also spent many years working in customer service, payroll, human resources, and university settings, which has given me a strong understanding of life stressors, workplace challenges, relationships, parenting, and major life transitions. I bring warmth, compassion, authenticity, and real-world understanding into the counseling relationship. I specialize in anxiety, emotional wellness, trauma-informed care, self-esteem, stress management, and helping clients develop healthier coping skills, emotional resilience, and greater confidence in themselves and their lives. My strongest area of focus is supporting adolescents, teens, and adults between the ages of 11–45. My therapeutic style is highly person-centered, supportive, and collaborative. While I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care, I strive to create a counseling experience that feels approachable, practical, empowering, and genuinely supportive rather than overly clinical or judgmental. I believe therapy works best when clients feel truly heard, valued, and comfortable being themselves. I often incorporate guidance, emotional support, skill-building, and strengths-based strategies to help clients not only process challenges, but also build confidence, self-awareness, resilience, and practical tools they can apply in everyday life. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported, empowered, and encouraged as they work toward healing, balance, and meaningful change.

Hi there! I'm Nancy, and I am so excited to share a bit about myself with you! Growing up, I experienced some pretty challenging situations within my family, and as a result, I spent much of my childhood in the foster care system and moving from place to place never being able to call a place my home. These experiences gave me a unique perspective on the importance of early intervention and prevention in the mental health field. It was through my experience as a survivor, and my own personal struggles that I discovered my passion for helping others. As a mental health professional, I've had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, but one experience that stands out to me the most is that of my younger brother. Despite struggling with reading and writing, he was consistently overlooked and eventually turned to drugs, never finishing high school. It's a heartbreaking situation, and I often wonder what could have been different if someone had taken the time to help him earlier. Unfortunately, my brother now suffers from bipolar disorder and experiences panic attacks due to the overwhelming sense of hopelessness and loss he feels. It's because of him that I've dedicated my career to helping others before they reach that point of no return. The point where there is nothing more than resignation and accepting what is than what one could become. Overall, I'm incredibly passionate about what I do and am eager to continue making a positive impact on the lives of children, youth, and families in need. I'm excited about the opportunity to get to know you and be of support to you in your toughest moments in life. Warmly, Nancy Gonzalez-McKenzie

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 40 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and relationship challenges. I have extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence, as well as individuals navigating complex life patterns shaped by past experiences. I specialize in working with adults, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, and provide a supportive, affirming space where clients can show up as they are. I also work with couples on occasion. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I bring both professional and lived understanding to this work. My approach is warm, compassionate, and direct. I believe therapy should be both supportive and effective—while you will always be heard and understood, I also actively engage in sessions to help you move forward. I won’t let you stay stuck. Together, we’ll break challenges down into manageable steps, build practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I often incorporate structured exercises and between-session practices to help you apply what we discuss in real life, while remaining flexible and responsive to your individual needs. Clients often appreciate that I am clear, consistent, and gently persistent—I will meet you where you are, while continuing to support and encourage your growth, even when things feel difficult or overwhelming. Welcome, you are in the right place and a brighter future begins today. I am here to partner with you and assist you in building the future you desire. I have two decades of experience providing therapy support to individuals. My approach to therapy is warm, humanistic, and person-centered. We will begin by creating a secure and safe place to begin to explore and create small tests of change. My work comes from a whole person lens, recognizing the importance of mind, body, and spirit, while using techniques from Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused, and Integrative psychotherapy. My work is tailored to meet your individual needs, whether they stem from women's issues, relationship problems, grief, trauma, depression, stress, or anxiety. We will begin the journey to whole-person wellness, one step at a time so that you have an increased understanding, along with additional tools to cope and create change while building an increased sense of well-being and self-compassion. Hello, I am Kathleen. Do you feel overwhelmed, burnt out or pulled in a million different directions? Are you struggling with your relationships, work or health? Is it difficult for you to find time for yourself, let alone, be kind to yourself? Do you feel "stuck" and unable to move forward? Many of us are experiencing loneliness, depression, anxiety and social isolation, so it is important to make caring for yourself a priority. Therapy can help you feel more connected, balanced and peaceful. Together, we can help identify what is not working and regain a sense of balance. We'll use a holistic approach, addressing the needs of your body, mind and spirit. We will develop a "toolbox" of coping skills and create new insights and awarenesses to help you become a happier and healthier version of yourself. Seeking therapy can feel threatening but it's one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and by doing so also give to others. In our sessions, I will meet you with kindness, compassion, humor and evidence-based modalities, so you can overcome obstacles and habits that may be holding you back. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe, supportive and empathic environment in which to work through current issues, conflicting relationships and/or past pain. I look forward to meeting you and working together.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 15 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma-related concerns, life transitions, and patterns of self-criticism or avoidance. My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and active. I want therapy to be a place where you feel genuinely understood and accepted, while also being supported in making meaningful changes. I believe people grow best when they are met with both kindness and honesty. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and Exposure and Response Prevention when appropriate. Rather than relying on a single method, I tailor treatment to each person’s needs, values, strengths, and goals. I am especially interested in helping clients better understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life circumstances. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help clients build greater self-understanding, resilience, emotional flexibility, and confidence in their ability to handle life’s challenges. I consider it a privilege to support people through the deeply human process of healing, growth, and becoming more fully themselves.

I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist helping my clients find more congruency and peace in their lives. People often believe that their feelings of anxiety and depression are their individual problem or failure, but very often these feelings are just a normal response to a challenging world. They come to their first session worried that they are crazy or deficient in some way, but they’re not. You don’t have to feel this way. I can help you develop understandings about how you are responding to your world, how you are making meaning of your life and how those meanings might be causing you to feel anxious, sad, hopeless, and frustrated. I have decades of experience helping people create lives that feel safe, meaningful, and more joyfully aligned with who they are and what they want.

Thank you for stopping by! A little about myself. I am licensed in both California and Oregon. I am available for virtual sessions for all clients and a physical office in Salem, Oregon for in-person sessions. My virtual and in-office hours are typically Monday through Thursday, 10am-6pm. I am a mother to three adult children, a Nana to 5 and dog mom to 2 Jack Russel's. I grew up in foster care and was adopted in my teens. That path led me through my own therapeutic journey as I struggled with depression and anxiety. As I found wellness, I launched into social work professionally to support youth and families, and eventually here, as a licensed therapist. I have been working with Individuals and families in various therapeutic settings for over 25 years, supporting those who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment/bonding issues, life stage challenges, and relationship conflicts to name a few. I find myself continually in awe of the resilience of the human spirit. I am honored with the trust my clients offer me as they process thoughts and feelings around their challenges as we journey together to find answers that make sense and solutions that work.

Choosing to begin therapy is a courageous step. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, I provide a compassionate, grounded space where individuals and couples can explore challenges, heal from past wounds, and move toward meaningful change. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, faith, and trauma. My approach is relational and collaborative — I believe healing happens within safe, attuned connections. Together, we’ll work to understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, while building practical tools to support emotional regulation, communication, and self-understanding. My work is informed by person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and attachment-based frameworks. I also integrate trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and existential perspectives, helping clients explore identity, purpose, and the deeper narratives shaping their lives. I obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have a background in behavioral therapy and have worked in several different settings including school, group settings, residential facilities, and private practice. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply seeking clarity, therapy can be a place to slow down and reconnect with yourself. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you strengthen resilience, deepen insight, and move toward the life and relationships you want with yourself and others. I welcome clients from diverse cultural, spiritual, and relational backgrounds, and I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming therapeutic environment. If you're ready to begin, I’d be honored to support you.
