About me

Greetings and welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who supports all clients with honesty, transparency, and respect. I hold dual Master’s degrees in Marriage & Family Therapy and Industrial-Organizational Psychology, which allows me to bring both personal and professional insight into the therapeutic space. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey—one where you show up as your authentic self and know that you’ll be supported every step of the way. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can gain or strengthen the tools you need to navigate life’s challenges and work toward the goals that matter most to you. You are the expert and driver of your life journey, and I am here to be your passenger, helping you discover your strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first counseling session, we’ll start with a warm introduction and review the limits of confidentiality to ensure a clear understanding of your rights and expectations in therapy. We’ll also complete a psychosocial assessment and begin exploring the issue or concern that brought you to seek support. Together, we’ll collaborate to create a personalized treatment plan that reflects your goals and priorities. This plan serves as a roadmap for our future sessions and allows us to measure progress along the way—making sure your therapy is meaningful, focused, and supportive of your growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, thoughtfully integrating cultural considerations to ensure that each client’s unique experiences are honored and respected. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and Person-centered therapy, tailoring my work to meet your specific needs and goals. As an LGBTQIA+ supporter and sex educator, I bring empathy, active listening, and an unwavering commitment to being fully present with my clients—whom I affectionately refer to as my people. I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, transparency, and mutual respect. This approach creates space for learning, engagement, and meaningful growth—helping you access and build upon the strengths you already possess. I see myself as a passenger on your life journey, walking alongside you in a safe, nonjudgmental, ethical, and supportive environment where healing and transformation can happen.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I appreciate working with adults who show up to work towards their therapeutic goals. Transparency will be key, as well as homework, which will be reviewed and completed for understanding and modeling of new skills.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 20 years. This therapeutic modality has helped hundreds of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety, anger, life transitions, interpersonal relationships and more. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors/actiions influence each other. You will be able to challenge your thoughts agains the reality of life events and situations. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a life filled with calm and peace by reducing that which is a barrier to becoming the best version of you!

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I’ve been using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy in my practice for the past 20 years. This therapeutic modality has helped hundreds of clients challenge themselves to use the tools they currently poses in order to create and support a treatment plan for clinicall based outcomes as well as short term and long term goals; using SMART goal format. We’ll use SFBT to recognize and acknowledge goals that are specific, achievable, relevant and time-bound, but most importantly, achievable. You will be able to challenge identify goals and together, create a solid plan for goal success!
