New to Grow
My journey into therapy began with a deep curiosity about human resilience and the desire to help others find strength through life's hardest challenges. I'm a firm believer in the powerful role that therapy can play in alleviating distressing symptoms, facilitating positive growth, and increasing functioning in all areas of life. I value clear, open, and direct communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will be an empathetic partner to help you accurately self-reflect. When difficult topics arise, I'll help you deeply understand yourself in the conflict.
I view a first session as an opportunity to experience a human encounter. We'll explore what has brought you to therapy, and if you're unsure, we'll figure it out together. It's completely normal to feel nervous. We'll take it one step at a time, and I'm here to guide you through each step of the process.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. I take a client-centered, collaborative approach, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. I provide a safe and supportive environment where you can discover parts of yourself and be the most authentic human being possible.
I work with adults managing anxiety, life transitions, and self-esteem issues. Whether you're working through current and past struggles, building coping skills, or exploring personal and professional goals, I'll help you create a plan for growth that feels empowering and achievable. In essence, I view therapy as an interactive alliance. Together, we will identify and create a treatment plan to address goals that are most meaningful to you. If at any time during the course of our work, we need to re-evaluate our goals and/or treatment plan, we will.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use cognitive-behavioral therapy to help you identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns. This hands-on approach gives you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. Based on your needs, I may include mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic interpretations.
