I always felt that I was called to help others. Growing up in South Los Angeles, I developed a sense of culture and community amongst Black and Brown people as well as a respect for the struggles of BIPOC. I grew up around artists, musicians, poets, leaders, givers, and eccentrics from all walks of life. During this time, I discovered how much I enjoyed listening to people, problem-solving, and motivating others to succeed and explore their authentic selves. I started off as a mentor in undergrad, inspiring other young people of color to attend college and think outside of the box in regards to their futures. I continued working with children, teens, and adults with special needs until I landed a position as an intern at a non-profit mental health agency in South Los Angeles. After I obtained my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I continued to grow as a clinician, supervisor, and manager at the nonprofit while also taking on teen and adult clients in the private practice setting. I am now pursuing my dream to work Full Time as a Private Practice Therapist.

Hi there, I'm Edward, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a diverse background in my years working in the mental health field which includes having two Masters in Social Work and Criminal Justice. I have worked with families, individuals, and couples, with issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, thought disorders, and emotional disturbances. I have worked in a variety of different settings that have helped me develop a unique skill set in addressing overall mental health. Some examples include outpatient/inpatient care, hospice, the prison system, and the education system. My approach is collaborative and I strive to make my patients feel understood and heard throughout the process. I often explain to them that even though I may be the professional, they are the professionals of their own lives and it's just an honor to play a small part in supporting them.

You might be at a turning point. Drained by work or the people around you, running on empty after years of giving more than you had to give, or trying to find your footing after a major life change. Maybe you're realizing how much of yourself you've set aside for others, or you're not sure who you are outside of a role you've outgrown. These are the crossroads I help people navigate, along with the depression, anxiety, and substance use that so often travel with them. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years in the nonprofit sector, where I saw up close the burnout that people who give a lot of themselves often carry quietly. It's a big part of why I do this work today. My clinical background spans community mental health, crisis intervention, and residential addiction treatment, including work with veterans, so I'm comfortable working with substance use, whether it's your own or a loved one's. I bring a trauma-informed approach focused on stability, insight, and understanding the patterns we carry from early relationships into the present. Our work together is collaborative, and we move at a pace that feels right for you. I also work with men who feel isolated or disconnected, and with anyone who has felt alone in carrying it all.

Hi, I’m Joshua. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience helping people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and times when life simply feels overwhelming. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are more than the problems that brought you here. I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS), an approach that helps us understand the different “parts” of ourselves, including the anxious, critical, angry, fearful, or protective parts that can sometimes leave us feeling stuck. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with me?” IFS helps us become curious about what these parts may be trying to protect us from and what they need to feel safe enough to change. You won’t find judgment in my therapy room. You also won’t be expected to figure everything out on your own. We’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you, helping you better understand yourself, heal old wounds, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. My goal is not to change who you are. It’s to help you discover more of the calm, confidence, clarity, and strength that may already be there beneath the noise.

I work with adults from all backgrounds. I am also open to any culture, belief, identification or orientation. All are welcome. Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, proudly based in Oakland, California. In 2017, I received my Master's in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley. I support folks 18+ in navigating trauma and self worth. As a Lebanese-American therapist, I aim to work with folks who are seeking the opportunity to re-examine their cultural storyline and get creative in unpacking their identity. Together, let’s challenge societal expectations and strive to center your authentic self. A little about me, personally: I identify as an artist and child of the earth, as diaspora has scattered my ancestors across the Arab world, Africa, Europe, and North America. I am fascinated by intersectionality and the powerful ways that resilience shapes our multi-hyphenate individuality. It is important that I take care of myself so that I can be a pillar of support to my clients. The way that I release painful feelings is by channeling them into creative projects. I also work hard to stay connected to my body and my surroundings. Whether it’s through writing, building clay sculptures, beading, or making collages, self-expression is a healing practice. I encourage everyone to play a little bit!

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, difficult life transitions, addictions, and relationship challenges. I believe therapy is a journey inward—one that honors the mind, heart, and spirit and can ultimately create greater peace, connection, and satisfaction in life. My work is grounded in the belief that we each have inner strengths and wisdom that can become difficult to access when we are overwhelmed by loss, change, painful experiences, or long-standing patterns. Therapy can help us reconnect with those strengths, develop new ways of coping, and move toward a greater sense of clarity and self-compassion. I sometimes think of this as reconnecting with our Best Self—rediscovering the qualities within us that allow us to live more authentically . I hold a Master of Arts in Spiritual and Counseling Psychology and have trained in grief and loss, community mental health, psychiatric settings, and addiction treatment as well as maintaining a private practice. I am committed to creating a safe and compassionate space where clients can explore what is difficult while also discovering their capacity for growth and change. My approach is integrative and relational. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift unhelpful thoughts and patterns; mindfulness and acceptance-based practices to cultivate present-moment awareness and self-compassion; and existential/spiritual perspectives to explore meaning , authenticity and purpose. Therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we make space for your experiences, your relationships, your losses, and the transitions you are facing—while honoring the wisdom you have gained along the way. Whether you are seeking relief from emotional pain, navigating a significant life change, or simply wanting to feel more connected to yourself and your life, therapy can offer an opportunity to reconnect with what is strong, meaningful, and alive within you.

Hello and welcome. First of all, I would like to congratulate you on your courage to take the first step in selecting a therapist. The thought of sharing intimate thoughts, struggles, and personal experiences can be overwhelming and frightening. I hope to help you feel confident that you have come to the right place to express your needs and work on feeling better. I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) from California. I have over 12 years experience in providing services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, trauma, and other challenges. I have had the pleasure of working in various settings. For about seven years, I worked at a community mental health agency treating children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of needs especially those who have experienced trauma. I have found that each individual comes with their unique story and background. My first experience using telehealth was during the pandemic. With the increase of mental health needs, I discovered the importance of being able to provide services through the telehealth platform. It inspired me to continue to reach those clients who desire telehealth for various reasons. Life can be busy with schedules and finding time for therapy is not always easy. Is it the therapist him/herself, their personality, theoretical approach, or specialty? While all these factors are important, it shouldn't be your responsibility to find the best clinician; rather it's the clinician's responsibility to become the best therapist for you. I also have a particular interest in using holistic practices to help create great results for depression & anxiety disorders as well as trauma/PTSD and other mental/behavioral conditions. These include EFT Tapping, breathing/mindfulness/meditation, and Amino Acids, etc. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Addiction Counselor with nearly nine years of extensive professional experience in both mental health and addiction. Further, I have a personal background in overcoming addictions as well as several mental health and learning disabilities. Whether you're seeking help to overcome addiction, mental health conditions or career counseling, I've dedicated my professional life to becoming YOUR BEST clinician. Transform Your Mental Health Story: Break Free from disheartening therapy experiences with my Empathetic Approach. Ready for a change? Let’s connect for a video conference consultation. From the comfort of your own space, let’s start your journey towards a happier, healthier you!

You deserve to feel better. If you've been feeling stressed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that are hard to change, you're not alone, and you don't have to figure it out on your own. Hi, I'm Michelle, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Mindset Coach with over thirty years of experience. I help people feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their emotions. My goal is to create a space where therapy feels like a real, supportive conversation—one where you can better understand yourself and begin to move forward with clarity. Many of the people I work with are dealing with anxiety, stress, or emotional patterns that leave them feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. Together, we take a closer look at what's happening beneath the surface—not just within you, but within the context of your life, your relationships, and the situations you're navigating every day. We explore how your thoughts, emotions, and stress responses are connected, and we build tools to help you respond in healthier, more empowering ways. I believe there are two important relationships worth understanding: the relationships you have with other people, and the relationship you have with yourself. A question we'll often explore is, "What happens to you when...?" Whether it's conflict, criticism, disappointment, or uncertainty, understanding how you respond under different circumstances helps you recognize patterns and make choices that better reflect the person you want to be. My approach is collaborative, practical, and down-to-earth. Together, we'll focus on the parts of your life that are within your influence… strengthening communication, setting healthy boundaries, and making changes that help your relationships feel healthier while allowing you to feel more like yourself.

I am a dedicated mental health professional with over a decade of experience in clinical social work and behavioral services. Currently completing his Psy.D. at California Southern University, Gabriel combines academic rigor with a deep-rooted passion for helping others—an ethic shaped by his upbringing in Ventura County and inspired by his Hispanic heritage. Gabriel began his journey in human services in 2006, earning his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from California Lutheran University. His commitment to making a meaningful impact led him to pursue a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, graduating in 2013. During this time, he co-founded Novo Behavioral Services, an agency born from a graduate school project and a shared vision to transform lives through Applied Behavior Analysis. What began as a passion project between two professionals with a combined 20+ years of experience has grown into a trusted behavioral health provider now serving multiple regions across California. In addition to his private practice work, Gabriel has served with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation since 2014. His work has included conducting psychological assessments, facilitating rehabilitation groups, and providing one-on-one therapeutic support to a diverse inmate population. His clinical approach is grounded in empathy, structure, and evidence-based practices, always tailored to meet individuals where they are. With over 13 years of experience in social work and behavioral health, Gabriel remains committed to elevating the quality and accessibility of mental health services across the state. He believes in building strong therapeutic relationships and creating systems of support that empower individuals and families to thrive.

Hello, my name is Steven Nelson, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over nine years of clinical experience. While my professional background includes family and relationship therapy, my current focus is working with individuals, helping each person navigate their unique journey toward healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds and professions, including first responders, law enforcement personnel, active-duty military members and their families, nurses, attorneys, and many others facing a wide range of life challenges. Life's difficulties are a natural part of the human experience. At times, individuals may feel isolated in their struggles or believe that no one truly understands what they are going through. These thoughts can contribute to anxiety, depression, substance use, and other challenges that impact relationships, work, and overall quality of life. When left unaddressed, these difficulties can become overwhelming and interfere with one's ability to move forward. I believe that meaningful change is possible through a compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based therapeutic approach. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients can gain insight, build effective coping skills, strengthen resilience, and develop healthier ways of managing life's challenges. Together, we can work toward healing, personal wellness, and lasting positive change. In addition to my Psychological Therapy license, I hold specialties certifications in Drug and Alcohol addiction, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Sex Addiction, Trauma and Domestic Violence prevention.

Life can feel overwhelming when past experiences continue to show up as anxiety, stress, or emotional exhaustion. You may notice patterns that don’t make sense, feel stuck in survival mode, or carry a heaviness you can’t quite name. Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what’s beneath the surface, and begin responding to life with more clarity and self-compassion. You don’t have to navigate difficult seasons alone—healing is possible, and support can make the path forward feel more steady and manageable. I also work in afternoons and evenings to ensure everyone gets a chance to be seen.

The most important relationship you have is the one with yourself. Therapy is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with who you are, and create meaningful change in your life. I believe that every person’s story deserves to be met with compassion, curiosity, and understanding. I specialize in supporting women navigating life transitions, anxiety, trauma, motherhood, identity changes, and reproductive mental health challenges, including infertility, pregnancy loss, IVF, and the complex emotions that can accompany the path to parenthood. I understand how deeply these experiences can impact your sense of self, relationships, and overall well-being. I also have experience supporting individuals through Sutter Health’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), helping clients navigate work-related stress, burnout, life changes, relationship challenges, and personal struggles while balancing the demands of everyday life. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients can gain clarity, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with their strengths. My approach is warm, authentic, and trauma-informed. Together, we will explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and build a stronger connection with yourself. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you feel empowered to heal, grow, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.
