Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in the state of California. I know life can become overwhelming at times, and I find it to be invaluable to have a space to openly process our challenges and stressors. I have worked with individuals from various backgrounds and experiences including people moving through trauma, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety. My practice focuses on supporting individuals experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression by providing a safe space to explore healthy ways to manage these symptoms and utilize the strengths and resources you have available to promote a better quality of life.
I have an extensive background in supporting adolescents, adults and families experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as survivors of trauma including complex trauma. Complex trauma can often include issues such as low self worth, difficulty with trust in self and in trusting others, addiction, isolation and identity issues. I received my Master’s in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley, and am also an alumnus of Carleton College and the University of Chile. Additionally, I have obtained a Certificate in Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II). I am bilingual in Spanish.
I have been working as a psychotherapist for 20 years and in a variety of settings before that. I enjoy working with all ages and through different hands on methods that evoke thoughtfulness. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who supports adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and life transitions. My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by both professional training and lived experience. I’ve worked in a range of mental health settings: supporting clients in recovery, on psychiatric holds, and in longer-term therapy. I’ve facilitated groups and worked with clients from many walks of life, including those facing major life transitions, chronic illness, or longstanding mental health challenges. Over time, I found myself drawn more and more to supporting adults and couples through deeply personal and complex experiences, especially around identity, relationships, and parenthood. My work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves care that honors their full story. I became a therapist because I believe in people’s capacity to grow and heal, and because I know how powerful it is to feel truly understood.
I have been a practicing Marriage and Family Therapist since 2001. In addition to my work in private practice, I taught LMFT students at the undergraduate and graduate level for 10 years, and became certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy in 2015. In 2017 I helped develop Hoag Hospital’s Maternal Mental Health program, where I served as Lead Therapist. I was trained by the Beck Institute in 2018 in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders.

Grief, illness, and loss touch every part of our lives, often leaving us feeling isolated or overwhelmed. I work with clients to process these experiences with compassion, helping them find meaning, healing, and strength in the midst of change. Together, we can create space for sorrow, hope, and perhaps gratitude.
Have you been struggling with anxiety and/or lack of direction? Are you critical of yourself and feeling negative and sad? Do you have issues in your past you feel are impacting your present? Are you challenged by a life transition? Change is hard and not always smooth. Sometimes we get in our own way toward the life we want to live. I can help gain perspective and look at whether your thoughts and behaviors are helping you along your path or hindering your way. We can look at how patterns, thoughts and behaviors that might have been adaptive from a less than perfect past might be getting in your way now.
I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral approach to look at thoughts and behaviors and what would serve you best. Incorporating positive psychology, support and compassion you will have assistance on life’s sometimes/occasionally meandering path.

I'm an LMFT based in Oregon and California. I have a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and have been practicing as a therapist for 8 years. I help adults experiencing life changes, anxiety, and also hormonal changes. I use empathy, compassion, and respect in every session and hope to make clients feel comfortable and welcomed, and free to be themselves. Often clients do not come in for trauma specifically, but more often than not, trauma and grief come up in a client’s past or childhood, so I am trauma-informed and very experienced in treating trauma. I am flexible for using part of a session for the “here and now” immediate goals, and part of session for healing old wounds, for more deep healing.

I am firmly rooted in the belief that the therapeutic process is a symbiotic collaboration between therapist and client. Regardless of whether you're navigating a temporary challenge and seeking targeted, solution-driven guidance, or grappling with a persistent concern that requires long-term therapeutic involvement, there are moments when we all benefit from external assistance. I recognize the importance of individualizing therapeutic interventions. Everyone's journey is distinct, influenced by their unique life experiences, cultural backgrounds, and individual belief systems. It's essential to take a comprehensive view, taking into account not just the present symptoms but the whole person and their life narrative. By understanding each person’s individual story, I can offer more tailored guidance and interventions. This personalized approach not only addresses the immediate concerns but also empowers clients to better handle future challenges with increased confidence and self-awareness.
I earned my doctorate degree from the esteemed California School of Professional Psychology. My professional journey has seen me serve in a range of environments. This journey includes my work at the UCLA Anxiety Disorder Clinic, where, as a psychological assistant under a seasoned psychologist, I honed my skills in managing anxiety disorders. My expertise also extends to substance abuse environments, both in acute inpatient psychiatric hospital, as well as outpatient clinics, where I've addressed the intricate dance between anxiety, depression, and addiction. My work in collegiate settings, such as President Barack Obama’s alma mater, has equipped me with insights into the stresses and anxieties faced by students navigating academic pressures and life's pivotal decisions. Furthermore, In the unique and challenging setting of maximum security prisons. Where as a forensic psychologist, I've supported inmates, including those serving life sentences, through the complex emotional landscapes of anxiety and depression linked to their circumstances.
My therapeutic approach is anchored in both cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic theory. Typically, I employ psychodynamic perspectives to facilitate deeper insights into the origins of a client's psychological concerns. This understanding then serves as a foundation upon which we build a CBT-driven treatment plan, ensuring you're well-equipped to achieve your therapeutic objectives.
I am a compassionate, collaborative therapist who supports individuals and couples in achieving their therapy goals using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy, along with integrative techniques tailored to each client’s needs. I focus on helping clients develop healthier coping skills, improve communication, strengthen emotional awareness, establish balanced routines, and cultivate more fulfilling relationships.
My work also emphasizes fostering self-compassion, assertiveness, confidence, and positive perspectives on life circumstances. My approach is direct yet supportive, solution-focused, and grounded in practical tools and guidance, empowering clients to feel confident and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. I bring my genuine self, professional knowledge, and years of experience to create a trusting, collaborative relationship where both client and therapist can feel confident in working together.

Over human history, people have mostly lived in close-knit communities. This has eroded with the advances in transportation and technology. Most people have lost much of the social support our forebearers enjoyed. Mental Health Professionals have taken on this role in their respective communities and are an excellent resource for you to realize your strengths and improve your well-being. When your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic. When your tooth hurts you see a dentist. When your mental health can use a “tune-up,” see a Mental Health Professional!

Hi there, as a licensed Clinical Psychologist, I offer a space in which we pay close attention to what is happening within and around you, emotionally, physically, relationally and provide a safe space in order to do so. We work together to connect you to the underlying meaning of your pain, bringing not only relief but an increased capacity to tolerate future struggles. Part of our work will involve exploring your life's patterns and expanding the awareness needed to helpfully move them in your desired direction. You will grow non-judgmental curiosity about yourself and others through this process, which will nurture a more authentic engagement in your relationships. The way I work is typically integrative, which means I draw from several theories in order to meet the immediate as well as underlying patterns of behavior that may not be serving you.
My clients tend to be people who want to feel more in control of their emotions, more effective at getting what they want, less stuck, more flexible, more connected and really just more at peace. They seek relief from patterns - sometimes chronic and severe, sometimes only subtly troublesome - of painful emotions, negative self-talk and thoughts, rumination, relationship instability and self sabotaging behaviors.
Hello, my name is Abram Andersen. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked in the field for 12 years. I strongly believe healthy relationships are the foundation for a happy healthy life. Relationships really matter! Sometimes things like depression, anxiety, and trauma can get in the way of experiencing relationships to their fullest. I am a holistic therapist who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). With the CBT approach, we say, “Thoughts create feelings and feelings create behaviors or actions. We can work together to help you better understand your thoughts, feelings, and why you might behave as you do.
Hi there, my name is Dr. Liz! My passion is working with emerging adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relational challenges, or life transitions.
I value building a strong therapeutic relationship and empowering my clients using the strengths they already have, as they journey towards hope and healing. My hope is that each of my clients feels safe to be their honest, authentic selves with me, and that they feel seen, heard, and understood.
My approach is culturally aware, trauma-informed, and grounded in creating a safe space where clients can explore both personal and generational experiences that have shaped their lives. I work with adult children of immigrants who carry the emotional weight of their parent's journey and the intergenerational trauma shaped by sacrifice and survival. EMDR therapy helps clients process traumatic memories so they no longer feel stuck in survival mode and begin to reconnect with safety, dignity and resilience. Therapy can be a place to understand these dynamics with compassion by honoring our parents and grandparents' sacrifices while creating space to heal from what was passed down.
It's easy to overlook our need for self-care when we're busy taking care of other aspects of our lives. Our priorities often revolve around work and our family's well-being, leaving us at the bottom of our list. My aim is to encourage self-determination through therapy. During our therapeutic relationship, we will work together to achieve your goals and find new ways to overcome obstacles and crises. We'll collaborate on identifying your strengths, as it's important to recognize how your current mindset and decisions are impacting the challenges you face in life.
