Hello, and welcome. I'm Jane Griffin, a licensed clinical social worker, with a background in clinical social work and over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges. My professional journey has taken me through diverse settings — from working with military service members and their families, to supporting patients in hospital environments facing acute and chronic illness, to empowering women navigating life transitions, trauma, and identity.
These experiences have deepened my understanding of the resilience of the human spirit and the unique complexities we all carry.
I believe that therapy can heal, but I also know that telling a stranger about your deepest pain can be a strange feeling. Perhaps you've been feeling sad, depressed or worried, and hopeless that anything in your life can change. Or maybe you aren't sure what you would even want help with. You know you feel bad, but if someone were to ask you "How can I help?", you aren't sure what you would say.
These problems can feel permanent and unsolvable. After all, something feels broken and unfixable, so how could you not feel that it takes all the energy you have just to get up in the morning and go about your day? Depression or anxiety can also feel isolating, as if nobody else could possibly understand. You may have even received advice from people who you feel mean well but can't understand what you're going through.
Depression and anxiety are not permanent or unfixable, and therapy can help. Imagine feeling peace of mind, and excited about life and its possibilities. It starts by learning about you and going at your pace. As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over 16 years experience working with adults and teens, I've seen therapy work, and I feel lucky that I get to be part of that journey for others.

Hello! My name is Theresa Wallace and I have my License in Clinical Social Work. I specialize in treating trauma and have been trained in EMDR since 2020. I am currently taking on clients who are seeking EMDR therapy to treat trauma, phobias, and generalized anxiety. In my practice with clients I most commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) , and Motivational Interviewing. My approach is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change.
I view therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to explore your unique experiences and uncover the strengths that already exist within you. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I aim to understand the whole person—your values, relationships, history, and hopes for the future.
Whether you're facing a difficult season or seeking deeper self-understanding, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we’ll identify what healing looks like for you and walk that path side by side.

My journey to mental healthcare
I did a lot of volunteer work and held a few AmeriCorps positions (America's version of PeaceCorps). I fell in love with helping people and I was told in order to achieve this, I would need to go back to school and complete my MSW.
I am authentic genuine, warm, direct and client centered. I have worked in Residential treatment centers, conducted risk assessments in hospital settings , worked in skilled nursing facilities , worked as a Program Director and have experience working with families, couples and individuals. I believe in the field and am excited for every interaction and opportunity when individuals show up for themselves. I am honored to join in the journey to aid with tools to assist with living life from a place of abundance and courage.
I help people overcome issues that might prevent them from leading healthy, fulfilled lives. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Client Focused therapy as well.
It takes courage to start therapy, but I have seen those who do and apply themselves, come out with a greater understanding of self, and many times with new tools to help them relate better with others in their lives. I look forward to helping you on your “Therapy Journey.”

We are all unique, yet we seem to struggle in similar ways. Have you found yourself repeating the same patterns over and over thinking you could do it differently but found yourself, yet again, in the same place? There is a way to move through painful patterns and create change. Experiences of trauma, in all forms, create challenges in our daily lives. With empathy, true understanding, and knowledge of ourselves, we can learn to navigate through life with more awareness. If this is relatable to you, please reach out and we can work together to create more of the things you want in your life.
My background is in person-centered therapy. Negative life experiences prevent us from enjoying our successes and preparing for future success in personal relationships (with others and ourselves), work, and parenting. As we move out of our old thought patterns, we can create new experiences and attitudes. Let me assist your next journey!
I have supported children, adults, and elders in their efforts to create new approaches and desired change in their lives. I would be honored to support you and your journey to get more of what you want and need in your life.

In our work together, my goal is to offer a space where you can be real, feel understood, and start making sense of things at your own pace. You don’t have to have it all figured out (none of us do), but you can pick up the momentum that will make that meaningful difference!

I believe people generally want to be happy, effective, and successful in their lives. Working from a client-centered approach, I aim to display unconditional empathy and genuine support to strengthen the therapeutic relationship and help you on your journey to a more holistic, congruent view of yourself. Effective OCD treatment means challenging yourself to do those things you fear—not just speak about them. With therapy, change is easy to see, but it takes your hard work and dedication to do the opposite of what has been protecting you from stress, anxiety, and fear. Living in an OCD cycle is distressing and time consuming, but often times comfortable; its repetitive and ritualistic nature provides a false sense of safety and control. Effective OCD treatment requires a willingness to abandoned your tried and true (though unhealthy) methods try something new. Together, we can enact the change you’d like to see in your life.

I am a therapist with ample life experience, as well as experience serving the client populations of California. I will meet you where you are and have the ability to empathize with you on many levels. I will listen, encourage and support you in a non-judgmental environment. Feel free to express yourself how you like and be open about how you feel. Let's begin this journey and make some progress together.
I identify as queer, fat, femme and have a mixture of indigenous and colonizer DNA. I share this first because the way we identify matters. Many reasons and factors stop us from being ourselves around others and often, when we can't fully live who we are, our mental health suffers. If that's you, I'm here to help. We can work through body image issues, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, trauma, conflict management together if you're willing to do the work of honestly engaging in therapy with me.
I grew up on the East Coast to immigrant parents from Colombia and lived in SoCal for 15 years and recently moved back home to be near my parents. I have a rescued pitbull that brings me lots of peace and joy and you might see him napping behind me via telehealth sessions. I enjoy hiking, cooking, reading (fiction for fun), and taking care of my indoor plants. I love learning about indigenous wisdom/practices from all over the world, herbalism, tarot, and other healing practices and beliefs that folks use to find meaning and wellness. Last but not least, I really love my job! And I do it because I believe in it and have witnessed many people shift, grow, break patterns and learn new ones that significantly improve quality of life.
If you're curious but unsure if I'd be the right fit for you, email me and we can schedule a 15 minute chat (free of charge) where you can get a better idea and ask a few questions to find out if this would be a good option for you. Please keep your email short and only include your interest in scheduling a 15 minute call and 1 or 2 sentences of what you're looking for. My email is: ericaarizalcsw @ gmail.com
