As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I provide evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, or life transitions. I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I strive to offer a warm, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic space. My approach is structured and goal-oriented, beginning with a comprehensive assessment to better understand your experiences, strengths, and needs. Together, we work to identify meaningful goals and develop a plan that supports lasting and positive change.
I bring extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood dysregulation. I began providing therapeutic services in 2009 in a school-based setting, supporting students through mental health interventions as part of their IEP services. Since 2018, I have worked in private practice with adolescents and adults, using evidence-based approaches such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical skills and greater emotional balance.
At this time, my telehealth practice is available for older teens , as younger children often benefit most from in-person treatment. We can access this through intake and rapport building as needed.
I hold a Master’s degree from California State University, Long Beach, and completed my supervised clinical training through the Los Angeles Unified School District. My work focuses on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and applying evidence-based strategies to support improved functioning and overall well-being.
Please note: I do not provide psychological assessments, disability evaluations, or documentation for emotional support animals. I also do not participate in court-related cases, including custody or other legal matters.
Hi there and great job on taking that first step in considering if therapy is right for you. I invite you to come with me on a journey of your own choosing where we will walk together in darkness to find the light you’ve been seeking. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Whether you choose me or another therapist, make the choice to just give it a try. Sometimes all you need is another person to hold the light while you do the work you need to heal.
Hello! I'm Yhadira, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with 10 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I'm glad that you're here! Seeking help can be uncomfortable and even scary, so my goal is to help create a therapeutic environment in which you feel safe and supported in. I obtained my degree from the University of Southern California with a specialization in working with veterans/military families. Additionally, I have many years of professional experience in both in-patient and out-patient settings working with people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, and difficult interpersonal relationships. My experience includes crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and short-term solution-focused treatment. My clients have been people from many walks of life, including those that belong to marginalized communities and those that are faced with adversity in their daily lives. My goal is to assist you in reaching your personal goals, navigate challenges with you, and help to empower you so that you become the person you strive to be.
Hello. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 10 years of licensure and 25 years of experience in social work overall. I've sat with people through some of their hardest moments, first in hospitals and crisis units, then alongside therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses in community mental health, and now in private practice.
I specialize in working with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, life transitions, burnout, and grief. My approach draws from evidence-based methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic work, narrative therapy, and psychodynamic thinking. I pull from whichever approach fits the person and the moment.
Our work together can be structured and methodical, creative and intuitive, or a mix of both. Some clients want concrete tools. Others want space to talk things through. Both are welcome, and we adjust the approach to what works for you.
People are remarkably specific in their struggles and strengths. The exact way someone shuts down, springs into action, or just endures is worth paying close attention to. I have a "come as you are" mentality. Tired, grumpy, not sure what you want to say, or showing up with a set agenda, all of that is welcome. I don't want anyone to feel like they have to perform.
I work with adults throughout California via telehealth and accept a wide range of insurance including Kaiser, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, and Medi-Cal through Partnership HealthPlan and other managed care plans.

“Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day”. —Dalai Lama
It can feel overwhelming to believe change is possible. Sometimes we start to think a moment, experience, or pattern defines who we are. But it is possible to break free from that thinking.
For several years, I’ve worked with clients navigating self‑esteem challenges, depression, anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, work stress, and loss. It’s meaningful for me to offer hope and to help people experience relief in these areas. My passion is supporting clients as they move toward the goals that matter to them.
In my practice, I’ve consistently seen EMDR reduce symptoms and create meaningful shifts. EMDR isn’t only for trauma — it also helps process dysfunctionally stored information that keeps people stuck. When using EMDR (including tapping), clients often notice change more quickly and begin to feel hopeful about moving forward. They become better able to manage symptoms and make decisions that support their well‑being and relationships.
Through ongoing study of neuroscience and nervous‑system‑informed approaches, I’ve learned how deeply the mind, brain, and body influence one another. You don’t need to be a neuroscientist to understand that the nervous system plays a powerful role in healing. I use interventions that support the brain’s natural capacity for change — helping shift patterns, pathways, and networks involved in trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction. Each session is an opportunity for growth and meaningful change.
Life brings challenges that can weigh us down and make it hard to move forward. Having faced my own obstacles, I understand how difficult it can feel. My goal is to walk alongside you as you move past what’s holding you back and toward the life you want. Together, we can work toward your goals.
Are you experiencing any challenges or roadblocks that life is throwing at you right now? Are you in need of a safe sanctuary with non judgmental support through anxieties, fears,or traumas? Do you find it hard to manage your interpersonal relationships, work, and fit in self care? Seeking therapy can feel so scary, it takes so much courage and strength to step out of your comfort zone. My job is to be on the passenger side of your therapy journey, helping you find the answers within, and giving you tools to support you along the way.
I provide online individual therapy to adolescents and adults across California, offering services in both English and Spanish. I have experience assessing and treating a wide range of mental health symptoms and disorders, and I approach therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to identify goals and create meaningful change. I view you as the expert of your own life, and I’m here to offer support, guidance, and a fresh perspective when it’s helpful.
My hope is that our therapeutic relationship empowers you to navigate both present and future challenges with confidence. I’m passionate about helping clients build long‑lasting, positive change through Cognitive‑Behavioral interventions, mindfulness practices, and solution‑focused strategies designed to reduce symptoms, alleviate stress, and support you through life’s transitions.

Hello, my name is Steven Nelson, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over nine years of clinical experience. Life's difficulties are a natural part of the human experience. At times, individuals may feel isolated in their struggles or believe that no one truly understands what they are going through. These thoughts can contribute to anxiety, depression, substance use, and other challenges that impact relationships, work, and overall quality of life. When left unaddressed, these difficulties can become overwhelming and interfere with one's ability to move forward.
I believe that meaningful change is possible through a compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based therapeutic approach. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients can gain insight, build effective coping skills, strengthen resilience, and develop healthier ways of managing life's challenges. Together, we can work toward healing, personal wellness, and lasting positive change.
In addition to my Psychological Therapy license, I hold specialties certifications in Drug and Alcohol addiction, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Sex Addiction, Trauma and Domestic Violence prevention.
Hello - I am an LCSW serving the adult population in the state of California. I earned my MSW degree from San Jose State University and have been licensed for 12 years. I work with clients from a strength based perspective and offer knowledge/skills to support in increasing functioning and efficacy. I believe in mindfulness practices and making the most of each moment thus moving away from depressive and anxious thoughts. I also excel in increasing self esteem/compassion and improving relationships to self and others. I hope to see you on my schedule and look forward to working with you!
I specialize in relationship issues, supporting individuals, couples and families. Attachment injuries and loss can affect how we feel about ourselves and limit our engagement with others. I can help you identify and let go of emotional reactivity and defensiveness. I offer Somatic therapy, EMDR, and IFS to support people struggling with post-traumatic stress. Processing trauma in this way helps release emotional charge stored in the body and overcome past experiences that hold us back from living life fully. If you feel that you are stuck in a loop, this work can help you let go and move on. Being Daoist, I value living authentically, inner peace, and aligning with nature.

Hello,
If you’re on this website I want to applaud you for your bravery and courage to seek services.
I believe our earliest relationships shape how we understand ourselves, connect with others, and cope with emotional challenges.
In therapy, I help clients explore how early relational experiences influence present-day patterns in relationships, self-worth, and emotional regulation. Rather than focusing on “what’s wrong,” we work to understand what once helped you adapt and how those strategies may no longer be serving you.
I take a relational, attachment-informed approach, using the therapeutic relationship as a safe, supportive space to build insight, foster emotional growth, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who helps clients reconnect with themselves through a body-based, mindfulness-centered approach to healing. Many of the people I work with carry the effects of trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, or painful life experiences that still feel present in their bodies and minds. I work from a mindfulness-based practice of “being with what is,” while helping clients use their bodies as allies in the healing process. Through a collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach, I support clients in moving out of survival mode and into greater safety, clarity, and emotional freedom. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth feel possible.

Hi there, I'm Edward, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a diverse background in my years working in the mental health field which includes having two Masters in Social Work and Criminal Justice. I have worked with families, individuals, and couples, with issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, thought disorders, and emotional disturbances. I have worked in a variety of different settings that have helped me develop a unique skill set in addressing overall mental health. Some examples include outpatient/inpatient care, hospice, the prison system, and the education system.
My approach is collaborative and I strive to make my patients feel understood and heard throughout the process. I often explain to them that even though I may be the professional, they are the professionals of their own lives and it's just an honor to play a small part in supporting them.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring a blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and deep compassion to every therapeutic relationship. My journey began long before I entered the mental health field—shaped by my years as a military veteran, where resilience, service, and human connection became the foundation of my work. Today, as a clinician and a mother, I approach therapy with the same grounded empathy, strength, and relational focus that guide me in both motherhood and service.
I specialize in supporting individuals living with severe mental illness, including those navigating complex trauma, mood disorders, psychosis, and long-term emotional or behavioral challenges. I understand that many of the people I work with have faced experiences that disrupted their sense of safety, identity, and hope. My role is to offer a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to move at a pace that honors their unique history and needs. I use trauma-informed, evidence-based practices rooted in acceptance, mindfulness, and emotional regulation to help clients build stability and reconnect with their strengths.
At the heart of my work is a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves a life worth living. I am passionate about helping people rediscover that possibility—whether through rebuilding coping skills, strengthening relationships, exploring values, or learning how to hold their pain without letting it define them. My approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and centered on the person as a whole, not just their diagnosis or past experiences.
If you’re seeking a therapist who will meet you with authenticity, patience, and unwavering support, I’m here to walk alongside you as you create a life that feels meaningful, grounded, and truly your own.

At present, I am providing crisis evaluations at a local non-profit in SF in addition to this practice.
My aim is to foster a supportive and safe space for you to explore your feelings, thoughts and challenges. My work will help you recognize the power within you & source( whatever you believe in is totally okay in my world, I respect all) and trusting that it all works out the way it should! I have also faced my own life challenges, moved across the country to my dream states and more, which I believe has taught me to have more compassion and an open mind. Hence, why I always state I am a human first. One of my biggest strengths that helps foster a safe space for my clients, is my unconditional acceptance & operating from an unapologetic authentic framework, whilst helping them get to the level they desire.
* I do offer a scaling rate for fees, please reach out for more information on that*
Que bien que te has dado el tiempo de estar aqui :)
Me llamo Laura. I am a first generation daughter of Mexican immigrants and understand how tough it can be to navigate life's challenges and reach out for help. I strive to bring warmth, mindfulness, kindness, humor and care into the therapy space to create a supportive space where you can reconnect with yourself and feel empowered.
Y si hablas Spanish, podemos hablar in both languages!
I’m a therapist who values creating a space where you can show up as you are and feel truly heard and supported. My approach is integrative, drawing from CBT, DBT, EMDR, and strength-based therapy, depending on what fits you best. I also offer the option to incorporate faith into sessions if that’s something you’re looking for. I believe healing is possible, even when it feels far away, and that you already carry strengths we can build on together.

I was born and raised in Minnesota, where I was practicing until very recently. I just moved to California. I have spent a couple of years living and practicing in Upstate New York. I have both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in social work, with my Master's degree in Clinical Social Work. I have worked with a range of populations, individuals as young as 4 years old to 55 years old, individuals of several different cultures, the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with developmental disabilities, families, individuals, and couples.
My passion is working with children and adults who have experienced trauma. This being said, I have experience with a range of challenges from anger management, anxiety, OCD and related disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, exploring healthy and unhealthy relationships, low self esteem and self confidence, parenting issues, LGBTQ+ issues, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and blended families.
