Hi, I’m Vanda Kim, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker based in California. I have worked in the mental health field for over 17 years. My experience includes working in medical, school, and private practice settings, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals through many of life’s challenges. Greetings. I’m David Joel Miller, licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Professional Clinical Counselor. Before entering private practice, I worked as a substance abuse counselor and for my local County Behavioral Health. I specialize in helping clients navigate life’s transitions and overcome depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders.
After working as a substance abuse counselor and then a marriage and family therapist, I also completed the requirements for licensure as a professional clinical Counselor. I am also a certified life coach. I think of myself as an indoor mountain climber. I don’t like getting out in the cold and rain, but I do like taking on new challenges. I read a great deal and have learned a lot, but I continue to learn more things each day. Like most people my age, I have the frustrations of coping with technology. But one of my interns taught me how to answer texts, and now my younger family friends are teaching me how to use iPads and streaming videos. I hope that these experiences give me some insight into how things are changing and how some things don’t change at all. I’d like to accompany you as you try to work through your life challenges.
You constantly do for others, yet neglect your own needs. You worry about things you can not control, fear the unknown, and haven't figured out how to let thoughts go. You do too much, and have a hard time saying, "No." Now, imagine what it would feel like when you finally speak up for yourself, and feel appreciated for all that you do.

My professional journey has taken me through various roles, including working with Child Protective Services for Sacramento County and providing support through the Department of Veterans Affairs. My experiences have deepened my commitment to serving others and have equipped me with a diverse skill set in clinical practice and social work.

You are brave and have the answers you need, but you may want help right now to “tune in” to those answers. Stress, overwhelm, and long-term patterns may be too much right now. Using a trauma-informed, client-centered and empathetic approach, I can help you confront and integrate painful experiences, addressing and healing the root along with the symptoms. I specialize in complex trauma, narcissistic abuse, relationship problems and the symptoms of anxiety, depression, and grief that can go along with these problems. I have been in the field of psychology either learning, researching, or providing services for almost 40 years. I have over a decade of experience providing trauma-informed educational services, mental/emotional health therapy, and grief counseling.
I am an LPCC in California and an LPC in Texas. My educational background consists of earning my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master's in clinical counseling, and a Master's in Addictions. I am a National Certified Counselor and am a certified addictions counselor.
My past clinical experience includes working for a crisis center where the majority of clients experienced issues related to suicide, homicide, domestic violence, and child and elder abuse. These issues impact people of all ages, races, and ethnic groups. I have also worked for a county-based permanent assisted housing development where all of the clients have experienced episodes of homelessness, and have been significantly impacted by issues of trauma, depression, addictions, domestic violence, and child abuse.
My practice is focused on a client-centered, humanistic approach that encompasses the treatment of individuals as a whole person. My approach offers a calming and non-judgemental environment to allow the space to explore different pathways to healing. I integrate interventions from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral therapy, mindfulness and person-centered therapy as well as solution-focused therapy. The most important relationship you have is the one with yourself. Therapy is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with who you are, and create meaningful change in your life. I believe that every person’s story deserves to be met with compassion, curiosity, and understanding.
I specialize in supporting women navigating life transitions, anxiety, trauma, motherhood, identity changes, and reproductive mental health challenges, including infertility, pregnancy loss, IVF, and the complex emotions that can accompany the path to parenthood. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients can gain clarity, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with their strengths.
My approach is warm, authentic, and trauma-informed. Together, we will explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and build a stronger connection with yourself. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you feel empowered to heal, grow, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.

I help clients slow down, recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop a deeper connection with themselves. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years' experience supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions and relationship struggles. I believe therapy is a space to slow down, feel understood, and explore what's happening beneath the surface through holistic approaches.
Being a therapist is a lifelong passion for me and is rooted in my dedication to supporting adults, children, families, and communities in building safety, resilience, and hope. Greetings,
Life can be confusing, relationships can be stressful, and the present can make you feel anxious or depressed. Sometimes a painful past can surface into the moment, especially when situations are difficult or when you are experiencing major change. During these periods your mood and thoughts can be affected in negative ways. When you are feeling alone, disconnected, or confused, talking things through can make all the difference.
I work with anyone struggling to find joy, peace, and fulfillment. I offer a safe, inviting space for you to share thoughts and feelings, to vent, to feel heard, and to reorient to meaning. Please allow me to assist you finding relief and clarity. I will meet you where you are at and welcome you. I address healing on multiple levels of the body-mind connection with a focus on the notion that caring about something or someone along with experiencing meaning can counterbalance the effects of hurt, a disturbing past, or a present stressful situation or transition.
I have more than 20 years of experience helping clients navigate major change and transition, gain closure, and create new beginnings. I apply interventions from a mind-body-being perspective and assess current life stressors to distinguish between situational mood and thought disturbances from those enduring and a consequence of previous hurt or trauma.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with adults (no couples) and children who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected from themselves. You may be doing everything you can to keep going—showing up for work or school, caring for others, and managing daily life—while quietly carrying anxiety, sadness, anger, or deep exhaustion. Sometimes your reactions feel bigger than expected. Sometimes life just doesn’t feel like it used to.
I specialize in trauma-informed care and understand that these experiences are not signs of weakness. They are often signs that your mind and body have been working hard to cope. I believe healing happens when you feel safe, understood, and supported at your own pace.
In our work together, I offer a calm and steady presence. Therapy with me is not about pushing you to “just move on” or forcing change before you’re ready. It’s about slowing down, listening to what your mind and body are holding, and creating space for relief and clarity. My role is to walk alongside you as you regain a sense of stability and reconnect with the part of you that holds resilience, strength, and the capacity for joy—even if that feels far away right now.
Welcome I am so glad you are here. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but you do not have to navigate this alone. Whether you are struggling to find balance amid overwhelming work stress, trying to improve communication in your relationships, or looking for practical ways to ease the heavy weight of anxiety and depression, I am here to help. Together, we will create a safe, supportive space to explore your goals, untangle complex emotions, and build the tools you need to reclaim your peace of mind and live a more fulfilling life.
Hello. I'm a bilingual English-Japanese Licensed Clinical Social worker based in Los Angeles, California. I've been practicing for 8 and a half years. Hello and welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
I’m an integrative psychotherapist, which means I see you as a whole person — body, mind, heart, spirit, relationships, and community. True healing and growth happen when all parts of your life are acknowledged and supported.
In our work together, we’ll use a holistic approach that blends mind-body tools, neuroscience, and practical action plans designed to create lasting change. My goal is to help you move from where you are now to where you truly want to be — building greater clarity, balance, and resilience along the way.
Whether you’re seeking relief from stress and anxiety, navigating a life transition, or wanting deeper connection to yourself and others, therapy can be the bridge. Together, we’ll uncover what’s holding you back and create a path forward that feels authentic and empowering.
You don’t have to do this alone. If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing and growth, I invite you to reach out — let’s take the next step together.

I integrate EMDR, somatic therapy, and nervous system-based approaches to help you process difficult experiences and shift patterns that no longer serve you. Rather than just talking about problems, we’ll gently work with both your thoughts and your body’s responses so you can experience lasting change, not just temporary relief.
