Hello, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT) in the state of California. University of California, Berkeley (UCB) for the AB in English and University of San Francisco (USF) in Counseling. Because of my personal experiences with having seizures when I was younger, I now concentrate on addressing the emotions and hopes and dreams of people who are dealing with the multiple, and often times consuming, issues of having a seizure disorder as well as any combination of realities and histories that equal the seizure experience. Hi there, I am Joanna
Have you ever gone to therapy and found it hard to open up because the sessions appear rigid and impersonal, and maybe you felt judged? In my practice is my goal to lead sessions in a non-judgmental way, with the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. I like to describe my relationship with clients as a relationship among equals. My role in the session is to help you process some of the challenges you are experiencing and offer skills that can help create the change you want to see in your life. My theoretical orientation is dialectical behavioral therapy and I try to hold the balance between acceptance and change, this means accepting that although things might be difficult at this moment we can learn new behaviors so life can be improved. My goal is to help clients increase their overall satisfaction in life and relationships. I am also trained in trauma work to help clients process traumatic experiences.

Hello,
My name is Elizabeth, and my pronouns are they/them/elle. I am a bicultural nonbinary therapist. I have the most experience working with anxiety disorders, self-confidence issues, and challenges around gender and sexuality.
I use a very humanistic approach in my practice, and I am human with you in the room. You do not need to feel talked down to or be told what to do in therapy. You and I can work together instead, as I may be the expert in psychology, but you are the expert of your own life. You will be encouraged to use your own strengths to push through the hurdles and you can expect warmth from me throughout this process.
Isolation can slowly wear us down and make hope feel far away—but you don’t have to go through that alone. I believe we heal in connection, and it’s truly an honor to offer that kind of support. When emotions feel overwhelming or relationships become strained, you deserve a space where you’re not facing it all by yourself. I work with individuals and couples navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and long-standing patterns, with a deep belief that healing, growth, and meaningful change are always possible.

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California and Licensed for telehealth in Florida with five years of experience. I received my master's from Simmons College in Boston. I am here to help you work through your current life challenges with the goal of helping you to be the version of yourself that you can have peace of mind with. I have experience with a variety of populations, backgrounds and needs. I do not believe that people are cookie cutter, instead I feel that I must tailor my therapeutic approach to best suit each client. If you're dealing with depression or anxiety, or situations in your life that you're not happy with, first of all, you're not alone. Lots of people are dealing with hard times now, and it's affecting how lots of us feel, work, and engage with our relationships.
But you should know that most problems can be dealt with effectively -- sometimes all we need is a little help.
I'm good at providing that kind of help.
I usually work with clients on core issues, foundations of well-being, like self esteem, codependency, self assertion, and also, how do they do with relationships? What's going on with work? Are there family issues? Issues about self identity?
Most of my clients come in feeling very uncertain about what their next steps are, and most often, they tell me that feelings of sadness, or worry, are definitely in their way.
I've been helping people heal and grow for over 20 years, and what I hear back from clients is that I'm honest, smart, kind, and that I don't waste their time. The work we do together is not just about soothing and comforting, but also, and more directly about problem solving: if you're unhappy, what do you need in order for that to change? And what are your needs, anyway? Are you even sure of how you need your life to be?
I'd like to help you find the answers to those questions.
And if you're in a relationship, getting over one, or hoping to find a new one, I do a lot of work with people who are dealing with that, too.
I hope I can help you feel better, and get your needs met in life. I'm good at this kind of work, and I hope you'll give me a try.
