New to Grow
Finding the right therapist can feel like a journey, and I’d like to help you take the first step. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and I work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges in their lives. I specialize in helping people manage anxiety, depression, work stress, life transitions, low self-esteem/confidence, and trauma, including complex trauma. My client-centered and collaborative approach to therapy creates a safe space for healing, self-growth, and living in ways that feel more intentional, empowered, and aligned with your values.
In my practice, I use a flexible and tailored approach, recognizing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all and that the most effective form of therapy is adapted to the unique needs and preferences of each individual. In our work together, I focus on increasing self-awareness and insight, as well as improving your understanding of potential patterns that may shape your actions and relationships with others and with yourself. I will help you strengthen communication in your relationships, build assertiveness, boost self-esteem, and manage stress more effectively.
I believe that you are the expert on your lived experience, and our work together is a partnership, not a one-sided relationship. As such, collaboration, equity, trust, and safety are of critical importance to me in the therapeutic space. I I use active listening, empathetic communication, and non-judgmental transparency to help you feel safe, comfortable, and able to be vulnerable as your authentic self. As a survivor of trauma myself, I am no stranger to being on the "other side." I have dedicated much of my professional life to helping other survivors of complex trauma, and I have seen and personally experienced the capacity that therapy has to transform someone’s life for the better. I believe deeply in the power of human resilience and want to aid and empower others to connect with their capacity for resilience and healing. Seeing a client overcome anxiety, stress, trauma, or grief, witnessing them heal and find peace, is the reason I continue my work.
I work with adults and transitional age youth navigating a wide range of challenges in their lives. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, work stress, problems with low self-esteem and confidence, and trauma, particularly childhood abuse, past relationship abuse, racial trauma, and intergenerational trauma. I am deeply committed to supporting BIPOC and AAPI communities, immigrants, children of immigrants, women, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
