My goal in my counseling is to help my clients live deeply fulfilling lives. I help clients increase their psychological flexibility through various tools and approaches including evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to change their thought patterns. I use experiential approaches including Hypnotherapy to work with subconscious minds and remove blocks that are deep in their psyche. I also provide mindfulness training, which is one of the key techniques for the clients to be more present and accepting in their lives, rather than react reflexively.
Each individual's struggles are complex and tied to many factors including their social environment, their physical health, the phases of their lives, skills they already possess, etc. In other words, change can happen in a variety of ways and that's what counseling can help with, pointing out the direction and even the next steps that can help the client to get to their goals and intentions.
I work with clients experiencing sleep disorders, chronic pain, anxiety, mood issues, ADHD, career counseling, and those who simply need a tune-up.
Hello,
I'm Evelyn, an LCSW working with GROW, exclusively with online clients. If you are experiencing sadness, anxiety or frustration with your relationships, it's time to get the support you need. My background encompasses not only experience in clinical social work but also in the fields of nursing and music. I enjoy being inclusive and open in both my personal and professional life.
I look forward to learning about you and working collaboratively to effect positive change in your life.
Hi there and great job on taking that first step in considering if therapy is right for you. I invite you to come with me on a journey of your own choosing where we will walk together in darkness to find the light you’ve been seeking. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Whether you choose me or another therapist, make the choice to just give it a try. Sometimes all you need is another person to hold the light while you do the work you need to heal.
Hi!

Together, we can work towards reducing anxiety symptoms, improving relationship dynamics, and enhancing your overall well-being.
Therapy can be scary, but you are making the steps to start healing. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important piece in the therapy process. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space with empathy and compassion. I will work to empower you to have the confidence to face the challenges life throws at you while building healthy coping skills and self-talk. Looking forward to working with you!
Hi there, I am Joanna
Have you ever gone to therapy and found it hard to open up because the sessions appear rigid and impersonal, and maybe you felt judged? In my practice is my goal to lead sessions in a non-judgmental way, with the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. I like to describe my relationship with clients as a relationship among equals. My role in the session is to help you process some of the challenges you are experiencing and offer skills that can help create the change you want to see in your life. My theoretical orientation is dialectical behavioral therapy and I try to hold the balance between acceptance and change, this means accepting that although things might be difficult at this moment we can learn new behaviors so life can be improved. My goal is to help clients increase their overall satisfaction in life and relationships. I am also trained in trauma work to help clients process traumatic experiences.
Hi! I’m Akilah Bakeer-Pullum a licensed clinician (LCSW), with over 10 years of experience partnering with clients. In doing so I am able to meet my clients where they are as we work together to improve their quality of life. That being said, I'm going to challenge you. You are in therapy for a reason. Improvements to your life will require actual changes. You can go forward at the pace that suits you, but you'll need to go forward and I'm here to help with that.

I’m a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health. I work with adults and adolescents navigating trauma, grief, ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship and family patterns, life transitions, codependency, identity, and spirituality.
My approach is warm, interactive, integrative, and trauma-informed. I draw from EMDR, parts-oriented work, CBT, motivational interviewing, attachment and relational therapy, mindfulness, and somatic practices, tailoring treatment to each person rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
My background in addiction treatment deepened my understanding of trauma, coping, and the protective strategies people develop to survive difficult experiences. I am also trained in yoga and have experience with meditation, breathwork, tai chi, and qi gong. When these practices fit a client’s needs and interests, they can become part of our work together.
I believe in honoring each individual as the expert of their own life, meeting them without judgment or preconceptions. Counseling, for me, is not about labeling problems but about discovering solutions and effective coping strategies. I work with individuals of all ages, including children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families, who are facing a wide range of challenges, with a particular passion for geriatric mental health.
Embarking on therapy is a courageous and potentially life-changing decision, and I am dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. When life's challenges - work, relationships, money troubles, illness or injury become too much to manage, or when the pain of the past pops up when you least expect it to disrupt sleep, or when daily stressors build up and make it hard to cope, that's when more than a friendly ear is needed.
