I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, safe, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through connection.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, and the emotional weight of caregiving, relationships, and work stress. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward — and together we create space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and build tools that actually fit your life.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, deepen self-compassion, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and authentic. I strive to create a space that is nonjudgmental, affirming, and supportive of your unique story

Hi there and great job on taking that first step in considering if therapy is right for you. I invite you to come with me on a journey of your own choosing where we will walk together in darkness to find the light you’ve been seeking. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Whether you choose me or another therapist, make the choice to just give it a try. Sometimes all you need is another person to hold the light while you do the work you need to heal.
I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes meaningful change happens when you feel safe, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can show up as you are—without judgment. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or disconnected in your relationship, we’ll work together to better understand what’s happening and how to move forward.
I take a collaborative and practical approach to therapy. That means we don’t just talk about challenges—we explore tools and strategies you can use in your everyday life. I blend evidence-based techniques with a strong focus on relationships and emotional awareness. Together, we’ll look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck and build healthier ways of coping, communicating, and connecting.
I work with individuals and couples who want to reduce anxiety, improve communication, and create more fulfilling relationships. My aim is to help you feel more confident, grounded, and capable—both in and outside of session.

Hello,
If you’re on this website I want to applaud you for your bravery and courage to seek services.
I believe our earliest relationships shape how we understand ourselves, connect with others, and cope with emotional challenges.
In therapy, I help clients explore how early relational experiences influence present-day patterns in relationships, self-worth, and emotional regulation. Rather than focusing on “what’s wrong,” we work to understand what once helped you adapt and how those strategies may no longer be serving you.
I take a relational, attachment-informed approach, using the therapeutic relationship as a safe, supportive space to build insight, foster emotional growth, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Specializing in women’s issues has been a deeply meaningful focus of my work, and I consider it an honor to be entrusted with my clients’ stories.
Rooted in my Christian faith, my approach is grounded in both compassion and clinical excellence. I strive to provide care that is evidence-based, ethical, spiritually sensitive, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. In addition to my private practice, I serve as a university professor, where I have the joy of teaching, training, and supervising graduate students on their path to becoming licensed therapists.
As a Doctor of Social Work and a dual-certified clinician in both DBT (Linehan Board) and CBT (Beck Institute), I am dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s most complex emotional and spiritual challenges. I specialize in supporting parents of children and adolescents who struggle with Emotional Dysregulation and problematic behaviors. I understand the exhaustion and isolation that can come with high-conflict household dynamics. To address this, I developed Family Systems Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (FS-DBT)—a model specifically designed to treat the family as a connected ecosystem, fostering collective growth rather than just individual symptom management.
Beyond family dynamics, I provide a safe, structured space for those experiencing faith crises or existential transitions. Whether you are deconstructing long-held beliefs or grappling with a loss of meaning, I help you navigate these "dark nights of the soul" by integrating clinical tools with a deep respect for your personal journey. Hello, I am Kathleen.
Do you feel overwhelmed, burnt out or pulled in a million different directions? Are you struggling with your relationships, work or health? Is it difficult for you to find time for yourself, let alone, be kind to yourself? Do you feel "stuck" and unable to move forward?
Many of us are experiencing loneliness, depression, anxiety and social isolation, so it is important to make caring for yourself a priority. Therapy can help you feel more connected, balanced and peaceful.
Together, we can help identify what is not working and regain a sense of balance. We'll use a holistic approach, addressing the needs of your body, mind and spirit. We will develop a "toolbox" of coping skills and create new insights and awarenesses to help you become a happier and healthier version of yourself.
Seeking therapy can feel threatening but it's one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and by doing so also give to others.
In our sessions, I will meet you with kindness, compassion, humor and evidence-based modalities, so you can overcome obstacles and habits that may be holding you back. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe, supportive and empathic environment in which to work through current issues, conflicting relationships and/or past pain.
I look forward to meeting you and working together.
Congratulations! You have taken the first steps in the journey to your goal(s). I am extremely grateful you are considering me to partner up with. I consider my relationships as instrumental in learning who I am. The relationships that most speak to who I am include being a spouse, father, brother, son, colleague, and friend. My grandparents are deceased. Through these relationships I have learned a great deal.
I help adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, depression, or challenging life transitions. Many of the people I work with feel stuck, uncertain, or emotionally drained and are looking for support, clarity, and practical tools to move forward. In therapy, we work together to better understand what you’re experiencing while building coping skills that can help you manage difficult emotions and life challenges. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can gain insight, strengthen resilience, and feel more confident, grounded, and empowered in your daily life.
I am a Black therapist dedicated to creating a healing space rooted in safety, authenticity, and respect. Welcome to my GT profile. Starting therapy and growing takes courage; locating the right therapist takes time and patience. I just want to start there and say that I admire you for taking a step of self-care by seeking support.
Whether you are struggling with worry, sadness, grief or just the daily grind and carrying the weight of work or the world home with you, therapy can provide a safe space to talk and expand ways of thinking and coping. Many folks coming to therapy do so because they’re either in a general funk or they’ve dealt with acute life stressors or trauma—they often recognize this struggle negatively impacts their sense of peace, outlook, health, purpose, relationships, and performance at work or school. My intention is to help you foster insight, build skills and grow psychological flexibility.
My practice focuses on three areas:
• Individuals in high-pressure helping and public service professions, including first responders and those working in EMS, Fire, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Dispatch, Judicial settings, Healthcare, Mental Health, and Education. My dual Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Trauma & Related Conflict, combined with lived experience, allow me to offer a culturally informed understanding of the unique challenges these roles carry. Together, we address operational stress, strengthen resilience, and support sustainable well-being.
• Adults navigating identity, authenticity, creativity, and life transitions, including LGBTQ+ individuals and those seeking to reconnect with themselves, clarify their values, and build lives that feel meaningful and aligned.
• Older adolescents and emerging adults preparing for graduation and the transition into college, vocational paths, or adulthood as they explore who they are, what matters to them, and how they want to move through the next chapter of their lives.
