(she/her)
Since becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2009, I have worked with children, teens, and adults from many different backgrounds, each bringing their own unique story and challenges. These experiences have shaped my belief that therapy should feel both supportive and culturally meaningful. As a bilingual (Spanish/English) and bicultural therapist, I'm committed to creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We will talk about what's bringing you in, what you've been experiencing, and what you'd like to be different in your life. I'll ask some questions to better understand your needs, and together we'll begin shaping your goals and a plan that feels right for you. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard and at ease.
One of my core strengths is creating a space where clients feel genuinely welcomed, respected, and supported - just as they are. I bring warmth and a nonjudgmental approach to my work, helping people feel safe enough to open up at their own pace. I've had the privilege of working with individuals from many different backgrounds and life experiences, which allows me to approach each person with curiosity, cultural awareness, and respect for their unique story. I also use evidenced-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), to offer practical tools and strategies that clients can apply in their everyday lives.
I work best with clients who are navigating relationship concerns, major life changes, or feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety or depression. Therapy with me is collaborative and intentional - we will work together to clarify your goals and create a path forward that feels realistic and meaningful to you. If you are curious about your inner patterns and open to exploring how your thoughts shape your experiences, we'll focus on building insight, challenging unhelpful beliefs, and strengthening the skills you need to feel more balanced and confident in your life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts and beliefs impact their emotions and behaviors. I focus on building practical skills - such as coping strategies, emotion regulation, and reframing unhelpful thinking - while tailoring interventions to each client's unique experiences, including those impacted by trauma.
