New to Grow
Currently offering very short term therapy. I have worked as a social worker since 2015 and was licensed in 2024. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, LGBTQ+ related issues, career difficulties, & depression. I also have experience working with compassion fatigue. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
During our first session it will feel like a casual conversation. I like to get to know who you are, I can tell you a little about myself to make you feel like you are talking to another human being. I like to know what brings you to therapy, if you have had therapy in the past, what you liked about it and what did not work for you. I like to set goals for us to work towards and if it seems like a good fit for you and for me, we will schedule another appointment.
I have a lot of experience as a social worker and my main approach is to always meet you where you are at. I have a daughter who was adopted from foster care and I have a biological child as well, which means I have a good understanding of many aspects of parenting and I an understanding of the foster care system from the parent perspective and the social worker perspective, as that is where a lot of my professional experience comes from. I identify as apart of the LGBTQ+ community, which has given me a lot of lived experience as well.
I am best positioned to serve those who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community, parents dealing with stress from children, those dealing with depression, anxiety and ADHD. I have experience working with those who have had a traumatic brain injury. Also, clients who are just needing someone to talk to manage day to day life and stress. I worked in child welfare for 9 years; I have experience working with children of all ages, parents who are struggling with substances and mental health challenges, as well as working with caregivers and extended family.
