New to Grow
Hi there! Its great to connect with you! I’m Sarah Haase, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and founder of Haase Therapy, Inc., where I help teens, young adults, and families feel more grounded, confident, and in control during life’s most challenging transitions. I specialize in working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or unsure how to manage anxiety, emotions, or relationships. My approach is collaborative, practical, and compassionate, blending evidence-based therapies with real-life tools that clients can use beyond the therapy room to create meaningful, lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During your first session we’ll focus on getting to know you, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. This initial conversation is a chance to share your story at your own pace, ask questions, and begin identifying goals for our work together. I’ll explain how therapy works, what you can expect moving forward, and ensure you feel comfortable and supported. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out our work is collaborative, compassionate, and centered on creating a clear, supportive path forward that fits your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my collaborative, strengths-based approach and my ability to create a warm, grounded space where clients feel understood and supported. I focus on helping clients gain insight while also developing practical tools they can use in everyday life, so therapy feels meaningful and applicable beyond the session. I tailor my approach to each individual, honoring their unique experiences and goals, and work at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. Clients often appreciate my balance of compassion and clarity, as well as my commitment to helping them build lasting change rather than quick fixes.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
The clients I serve are teens, young adults, and families who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and are seeking meaningful change. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, stress, emotional regulation, low self-confidence, relationship challenges, or navigating major life transitions, and want practical tools alongside deeper insight. I work especially well with individuals who are open to self-reflection, motivated to build healthier patterns, and looking for a supportive, collaborative therapy experience that empowers them to better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, and move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that helps individuals understand and change patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges. CBT is grounded in the idea that our thoughts influence how we feel and behave, and that by identifying and reframing unhelpful thinking patterns, individuals can improve emotional well-being and take meaningful steps toward their goals. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients uncover and clearly identify these patterns, gain insight into how their thoughts impact emotions and behaviors, and develop practical, effective skills for navigating stress and life challenges. Through a collaborative and supportive process, I help clients practice new ways of thinking and coping that foster emotional regulation, confidence, and lasting change in daily life.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than fighting them, while committing to actions aligned with their personal values. In my practice, I use ACT to support clients in noticing unhelpful inner experiences with greater compassion, reducing the impact of anxiety, self-criticism, and emotional avoidance, and clarifying what truly matters to them. By combining mindfulness, values-based goal setting, and practical coping strategies, I help clients move forward with intention and resilience even in the presence of discomfort so they can build a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals build skills to manage intense emotions, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and stay grounded in the present moment. In my practice, I integrate DBT skills such as emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness to help clients navigate emotional overwhelm, reduce impulsive or reactive behaviors, and develop healthier ways of coping while building greater self-awareness and stability in daily life.
