As part of my private practice, I provide therapy to both individuals and couples online. I combine the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Humanistic approach in my practice. With that said, I tailor the methods I use in treatment to each client's specific needs. I offer a space where your pain can soften, your story can unfold gently, and you can be met with warmth and compassion without judgment. I draw from CBT, TF-CBT, MI, mindfulness, and person-centered, holistic practices — not as rigid techniques, but as tools we weave into the moments when you need grounding, clarity, or a way to steady yourself. Over time, your voice gets stronger. Your patterns make more sense. And the parts of you that learned to survive begin to feel safe enough to soften.

I’m Dr. Andy Davis, a licensed psychologist with 18 years of experience in the mental health field. Thirteen of those years were spent serving in the U.S. Air Force, where I had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, grief, personality disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, and concerns related to sex and pornography addiction. As a sex-positive therapist, I provide a safe and affirming environment for clients to explore sensitive areas of their lives without fear of judgment. My therapeutic style is both solutions-focused and rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I believe therapy should be proactive and goal-driven, helping clients not only gain insight but also develop strategies for change. Clients often describe me as direct and honest, while also compassionate and collaborative—I strive to give practical feedback and advice that can be applied both in and outside of sessions. I especially enjoy working with veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and young adults. These groups often face unique challenges, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside them as they navigate life’s complexities. In addition to my clinical work, I have an extensive background in clinical research. While serving in the Air Force, I conducted sleep studies and developed modern treatment approaches for PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. This research continues to inform my practice, and I place strong emphasis on developing healthy routines, quality sleep schedules, and consistent self-care as foundations for mental health. I often work with clients to build structure into daily life, recognizing these habits play a powerful role in resilience and long-term well-being. Above all, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to face challenges, discover new perspectives, and build lasting resilience.

Parenting can be tough. You wonder if your child will ever grow out of their excessive worries, meltdowns, or tantrums, and you become exhausted and feel guilty for being frustrated with them. The nightly battles with homework and reports from school are wearing you down. The power struggle with your spirited toddler or your strong-willed adolescent may leave you overwhelmed and wondering what you can do differently. Communicating and feeling unified with your partner or caregiver may be difficult or your styles may be different, creating a state of uncertainty or chaos in the home. It is okay to feel overwhelmed. It is also okay to strive for more. You know the potential your child has, and living in a world where you can better help them navigate their development is possible. My goal is to empower you and your child by finding effective parenting strategies and coping skills that work for your family, allowing your child to thrive. I work with children, families, parents, and caregivers to ease the tension that emotions, outbursts, tantrums, and anxiety can bring children and their families. Parents are welcome for parent support as well as for individual therapy to improve their emotional response when triggered by parenting issues. Children are welcome between the ages of 2 and 7 years for Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Let's begin working towards a more peaceful and intentional parenting experience. I welcome all families from all walks of life.

For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children, teens, young adults, and adults as they navigate life’s many challenges. I use an eclectic approach, which simply means I pull from different types of therapy models depending on what fits each person best. No two people are the same, so together we’ll find tools and approaches that work for your life and goals. Sometimes that looks like building new coping skills, sometimes it’s unpacking trauma, and sometimes it’s just having a space where you can fully be yourself. My goal is to create a safe and collaborative space where clients feel truly heard, seen and understood. Together, we can explore patterns, uncover strengths, and build strategies for lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I want to understand not only what you’re struggling with, but who you are and what matters most to you. My background includes providing therapy across a range of settings, including clinical mental health, private practice, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and community-based programs. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals and families navigating epilepsy, chronic health conditions, and the emotional and life challenges that can accompany them.

My name is Geno Creese, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Drama Therapist (#942) accepting virtual clients in California. Regardless of presenting issues, I like to meet my clients where they are at; whether you are new to mental health support or are a seasoned veteran there is space for you here. As a therapist I work from an attachment based lens and use elements of psychodynamic theory, solution focused therapy, CBT, Narrative Style Interventions, and a host of Drama Therapy Interventions to support my clients.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who thinks everyone should try therapy at some point because therapy makes life easier! I've been an LCSW for over a decade and I've worked in schools, and the court system, and with treatment centers and in private practice. I like people, and ( I know, it's corny) I feel so honored that my clients allow me to be a part of their lives and hear their stories. All of my clients are so brave and willing to work toward the lives they really want, and it never stops being so meaningful to be a part of that process.

Welcome - I'm glad you're here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker inspiring hope and facilitating change in the lives of individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. For over 18 years, I have provided psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families in California. A Los Angeles native, in 2007 I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California. My path to becoming a person-centered therapist has been shaped by a deep belief in the healing power of human connection. From early on, I was drawn to listening—to really hearing people—and witnessing the strength that can emerge when someone feels truly understood. That belief led me to social work, where I found a natural alignment with the values of empathy, dignity, and respect for each person’s lived experience. Through my training and clinical work, I was especially moved by the person-centered approach, which sees the client not as a problem to be fixed, but as a whole person with the capacity for growth, insight, and change. Embracing this approach has transformed the way I see the therapeutic relationship: not as a space where I give answers, but one where I hold space—with care, compassion, and authenticity—so clients can explore, heal, and move forward on their own terms. Over time, I’ve continued to grow both personally and professionally, integrating complementary tools like CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy while always staying grounded in the person-centered core. It’s a privilege to walk alongside my clients, to witness their resilience, and to be a steady presence as they reconnect with their strengths, values, and goals. Being a therapist isn’t just what I do—it’s part of who I am.

Hello, I'm Samantha a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy to adolescents and adults throughout California and Oregon. I specialize in supporting clients who are managing stress, navigating life transitions, and coping with anxiety. Life can feel overwhelming at times—whether you’re adjusting to a new role, facing uncertainty, or dealing with persistent worry. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I offer a supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing. My approach is client-centered and collaborative. I believe therapy works best as a partnership—one where your voice is valued and your experiences are respected. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and identify practical, realistic tools that align with your lifestyle and personal goals. Because no two individuals experience stress or anxiety in the same way, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs. I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where you can show up as your authentic self. My goal is to help you gain clarity, strengthen coping skills, and build the confidence needed to move forward with intention. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about creating space to grow, heal, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want.

Hi, I'm Sarah, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and I'm so glad you're here. If you've been carrying the weight of anxiety, burnout, trauma, life transitions, or simply trying to hold everything together for everyone else, you don't have to do it alone. My approach is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation where you can exhale, be fully yourself, and know you're accepted without judgment. Together, we'll build on your strengths, process what's been weighing you down, and help you move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and authentically yours. Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me cheering at a soccer game, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or enjoying live music with family and friends. I believe healing happens through connection, and I strive to bring that same authentic, human approach into every session. I'm so glad you're here, and I'd be honored to be part of your journey.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
