New to Grow
Hi, I'm Sarah, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and I'm so glad you're here. If you've been carrying the weight of anxiety, burnout, trauma, life transitions, or simply trying to hold everything together for everyone else, you don't have to do it alone. My approach is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation where you can exhale, be fully yourself, and know you're accepted without judgment. Together, we'll build on your strengths, process what's been weighing you down, and help you move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and authentically yours. Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me cheering at a soccer game, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or enjoying live music with family and friends. I believe healing happens through connection, and I strive to bring that same authentic, human approach into every session. I'm so glad you're here, and I'd be honored to be part of your journey.
Starting therapy can feel exciting, overwhelming, or even a little intimidating and all of those feelings are completely welcome. Our first session is about getting to know you. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to gain from our work together, and any questions or concerns you may have about the process. There's no pressure to share everything at once. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while beginning to build a safe, trusting relationship. I'll also ask some questions about your background, current challenges, and strengths so I can better understand your story and tailor treatment to your unique needs. Most importantly, I hope you leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and with the reassurance that you don't have to navigate this alone.
**What Makes My Approach Different** I believe that healing happens through connection. While evidence-based techniques are an important part of therapy, research consistently shows that one of the strongest predictors of success is the relationship you have with your therapist. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to keep showing up. I bring both professional expertise and genuine humanity into our sessions. You'll find a therapist who is warm, authentic, and fully present—not someone who simply nods and takes notes. I believe in meeting you where you are, celebrating your strengths, and helping you make sense of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and trauma-informed care, while recognizing that no two people heal the same way. Together, we'll develop practical tools you can use in everyday life while also exploring the deeper experiences that have shaped who you are. Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a place where you don't have to perform, have all the answers, or carry everything on your own. Whether you're seeking relief, clarity, healing, or personal growth, we'll work together to help you build a life that feels more connected, resilient, and authentically yours.
You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, stuck, or simply know something needs to change, you're in the right place. I especially enjoy working with helpers and those who spend so much of their lives showing up for others—including healthcare professionals, educators, first responders, veterans, college students, first-generation individuals, caregivers, and high achievers. Whether you're navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, burnout, a major life transition, or simply wanting to understand yourself on a deeper level, therapy offers a space that's just for you—a place to slow down, be heard, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we'll build practical tools, uncover your strengths, and help you create a life that feels more balanced, connected, and authentic.
I identify as
Adlerian
I believe healing begins with understanding your story. Using Adlerian therapy, we'll explore how your life experiences, relationships, and beliefs have shaped the way you see yourself and the world. Together, we'll build on your strengths, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and create practical, meaningful changes that help you feel more confident, connected, and fulfilled.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps you build practical skills to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. Together, we'll learn ways to manage overwhelming emotions, cope with stress in healthy ways, improve relationships, and become more mindful of your thoughts and feelings. My goal is to give you tools you can use outside of therapy, so you feel more in control, resilient, and equipped to handle whatever life brings your way.
Existential
Sometimes therapy isn't about finding the "right" answer—it's about discovering what truly matters to you. Existential therapy helps us explore your values, purpose, relationships, and the choices that shape your life. Together, we'll make sense of life's challenges, reconnect with what gives your life meaning, and help you move forward in a way that feels authentic and true to who you are.
Trauma Informed Care
I recognize that past experiences can shape how we think, feel, and respond to the world around us. A trauma-informed approach means we move at a pace that feels safe for you, with an emphasis on trust, collaboration, and choice. Together, we'll focus on understanding your experiences, building healthy coping skills, and helping you heal without ever pushing you to share more than you're ready for.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
If you're looking for practical solutions, this approach may be a great fit. Solution-Focused Therapy helps us spend less time feeling stuck in the problem and more time identifying what's working, setting achievable goals, and creating realistic steps toward change. Together, we'll focus on your strengths, build on your successes, and develop strategies you can begin using in your everyday life.
