New clients continue care with this provider

Welcome - I'm glad you're here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker inspiring hope and facilitating change in the lives of individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. For over 18 years, I have provided psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families in California. A Los Angeles native, in 2007 I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California. My path to becoming a person-centered therapist has been shaped by a deep belief in the healing power of human connection. From early on, I was drawn to listening—to really hearing people—and witnessing the strength that can emerge when someone feels truly understood. That belief led me to social work, where I found a natural alignment with the values of empathy, dignity, and respect for each person’s lived experience. Through my training and clinical work, I was especially moved by the person-centered approach, which sees the client not as a problem to be fixed, but as a whole person with the capacity for growth, insight, and change. Embracing this approach has transformed the way I see the therapeutic relationship: not as a space where I give answers, but one where I hold space—with care, compassion, and authenticity—so clients can explore, heal, and move forward on their own terms. Over time, I’ve continued to grow both personally and professionally, integrating complementary tools like CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy while always staying grounded in the person-centered core. It’s a privilege to walk alongside my clients, to witness their resilience, and to be a steady presence as they reconnect with their strengths, values, and goals. Being a therapist isn’t just what I do—it’s part of who I am.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is all about creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and heard. As a person-centered therapist, I won’t begin with a checklist of questions or rush into problem-solving. Instead, I’ll meet you with warmth, openness, and genuine curiosity—ready to hear your story, in your own words. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to explore or change, and any goals or concerns you may have. I’ll share a bit about how I work, answer any questions you have, and invite you to set the pace. You’re free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with—there is no pressure or expectation. This first session lays the groundwork for a collaborative relationship built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect. My focus is on understanding you—your experiences, your values, and what matters most to you—so we can begin a journey that feels truly supportive and empowering.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a person-centered therapist, my ability to establish trust and rapport with my clients are my greatest strengths. My communication style is empathetic, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you feel deeply heard, understood, and accepted—just as you are. Rather than directing or diagnosing, I engage with you through active listening, gentle reflection, and open-ended questions that invite self-exploration. I use warm, authentic language that encourages honesty and emotional safety, while also respecting your pace and boundaries. I aim to reflect not just the words you say, but the feelings and meanings behind them, so you feel seen on a deeper level. When helpful, I may offer insights or observations, but always with curiosity and humility—never as a prescription or judgment. Ultimately, my communication is guided by a belief in your capacity to grow, and my role is to support that process with presence, respect, and genuine care.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Client focus As a person-centered therapist, my primary focus is always on you—your experiences, your values, and your unique perspective. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and therapy is a collaborative space where your voice leads the way. Rather than imposing advice or directing the process, I listen deeply and respond with empathy, respect, and authenticity. Your needs, concerns, and goals shape the direction of our work. Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, self-acceptance, or change, I honor where you are right now and support you in moving toward where you want to be. In our sessions, I aim to create a nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. By nurturing a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, I help you connect with your inner strengths, gain insight, and make choices that align with your values and well-being. Ultimately, my goal is to empower you to live more fully, more freely, and more authentically—on your own terms.
