I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, and I’ve dedicated my career to helping people navigate life’s most complex and painful experiences. Over the years, I’ve worked in diverse settings—including dually diagnosed clinics, domestic violence shelters, community-based agencies, and private practice. Each has deepened my understanding of the human experience and strengthened my ability to support clients with a wide range of challenges. My clinical experience includes working with relationship issues, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, eating disorders, mood disorders, co-occurring conditions, and other moderate to severe mental health concerns. I approach therapy from a place of warmth, curiosity, and non-judgment. I believe healing begins in spaces where people feel seen, heard, and safe. I was called to this work not only out of a desire to serve others, but from a personal journey of understanding how we make meaning from suffering. In my practice, I aim to help clients reconnect with their inherent worth, step into their “enoughness,” and cultivate deeper, more authentic relationships—with others and with themselves.

Hi! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California, passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University, where I deepened my understanding of human emotions and relationships. Over the past three years, I’ve been honored to support adults who are struggling with anxiety and depression, guiding them on a journey toward healing in both the private practice setting and hospital setting. In my practice, I focus on empowering individuals to become the best versions of themselves. Many of the clients I work with feel weighed down by past traumas or overwhelming stressors. I use a compassionate, evidence-based approach to help them identify and challenge the maladaptive beliefs that keep them stuck. By replacing these beliefs with adaptive ones, my clients are able to rebuild their self-esteem, cultivate self-love, and approach life with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence. I understand that seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Together, we can work to uncover the root causes of the struggles, develop healthier coping strategies, and implement practical tools that foster long-term well-being. Whether it’s learning to manage anxiety, overcoming depression, or simply finding clarity in a difficult situation, I am here to provide guidance and support every step of the way. My ultimate goal is to help clients transform their lives for the better. Through therapy, clients can gain greater insight into themselves, improve their emotional resilience, and build fulfilling relationships—both with themselves and with others. I am committed to walking alongside my clients on their unique journeys toward healing, growth, and happiness. If you’re ready to take that step, I would be honored to support you in achieving the life you deserve.

Hello and welcome! First, I'd like to acknowledge the courage it takes to seek support. Way to show yourself some love and care! My name is Daniel and I am a board licensed therapist in Oakland, CA with 20 years of experience, including training and supervision of other therapists. I use Internal Family Systems and other therapies to treat major depression, anxiety, and the many effects of traumatic life experiences. If you are stuck and want to try a non-traditional approach, I also offer a safe, proven, psychedelic treatment called Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, which boosts your brain's ability to get out of depressive ruts and form new habits. With an experienced therapist in your corner and the discovery of new, promising treatments, you can face life's challenges with a renewed sense of hope. We will work together to discover deeper meaning and purpose and reclaim the joy and belonging that you deserve. If you are struggling with addiction but feel unsure about traditional approaches like 12-step groups, rehabs, or even total abstinence, you're not alone. Many people want to make a change but don't seek help because they feel this way. I specialize in reducing addictive behaviors by addressing the thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that make you want to escape and by discovering what really motivates you. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, what's working and what's not about your use, and replacing harmful behaviors with more meaning and joy. I'm here to be in your corner, as an ally and as a guide. Together, we'll create a supportive, non-judgmental space where EVERY part of you is welcome. If you're ready to learn how to come home to yourself, I invite you to reach out. Let’s talk about how we can get there together.

Hi there. I'm Steve. I specialize in relationships of all kinds, especially romantic/intimate/sexual and including ethical nonmonogamy (ENM). I believe living in the world today means the demands for your attention are often relentless, sometimes making you overwhelmed, stuck, or feeling like you've lost touch. Think of therapy as a place where you and I show up for YOU—for that very blessed being you get to be, this whole life. In turn, this helps all your relationships thrive, which again, helps you thrive too! We all have a natural drive to adapt, learn, and grow, and we do so in relationships—with ourselves, with others, with ideas and values, and with the world. You and I will listen closely—from where you are right now—to help reconnect you to your innate tendency to grow and change in desired ways. This may very well mean tolerating more friction and tension at first. It’s alright. You will get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. Over time, knowing how you feel, think, and act—right here and now—will help you make better choices, recharge your sense of well-being, and enliven your relationships.

Grief is a deeply personal experience, with no set timeline or predictable path. It can arise after the loss of a loved one, an animal companion, a relationship, or even a shift in identity due to illness or life transitions. Left unaddressed, grief can impact your emotional well-being, relationships, and day-to-day functioning. As a therapist, I offer two areas of specialized support. The first is grief counseling—providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can process your loss and find meaning in your healing. The second focuses on helping individuals navigate symptoms related to depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorder, often brought on by significant life changes or chronic stress. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and tailored to your unique needs. Whether you're overwhelmed by sadness, struggling with motivation, or feeling disconnected from others, therapy can help you regain clarity and emotional balance. I intentionally maintain a small caseload to provide personalized, attentive care. My goal is to offer a safe, grounded environment where you feel supported and empowered to move forward at your own pace.

Sometimes we have to face our losses to be able to move forward, sometimes we have to confront our negative thoughts to clear our mind and focus on what is in front of us now. We try to cope with the world’s challenges based on the values and strengths we built during childhood, but there are many ways to rekindle our creativity and joy as adults to re imagine a new path. My aim is to foster a supportive and safe space for you to explore your feelings, thoughts and challenges. My work will help you recognize the power within you & source( whatever you believe in is totally okay in my world, I respect all) and trusting that it all works out the way it should! I have also faced my own life challenges, moved across the country to my dream states and more, which I believe has taught me to have more compassion and an open mind. Hence, why I always state I am a human first. One of my biggest strengths that helps foster a safe space for my clients, is my unconditional acceptance & operating from an unapologetic authentic framework, whilst helping them get to the level they desire. * I do offer a scaling rate for fees, please reach out for more information on that*

My name is Farbod Khalafi. I am a second generation Persian-American. My own background continues to shape the way I approach this work. As the child of Persian immigrant parents raised in Orange County, California, I often felt caught between two cultures—never quite fitting into either. Therapy helped me better understand those experiences and how they impacted me. That personal insight continues to inform how I show up for my clients—with cultural humility, empathy, and curiosity.

Welcome. First, I would like to recognize your strength and courage to seek out mental health support. Life can be challenging to manage. And oftentimes, the toughest part is deciding to reach out for support. I believe the most important aspect of treatment is that clients feel heard, treated with respect, and actively involved in the healing process. Everyone has their own journey. Whether it’s an acute or chronic mental health concern, I use a person-centered approach to empower clients to regain power and stability in their lives. If you need a safe space to unpack how stress impacts your mental health, together we can work on improving interpersonal skills, reducing symptoms, and developing coping skills to deal with life's challenges.

Hello, I remember a joke from sometime ago that goes something like this: "Three friends were walking together one day, and one remarked, 'It's windy,' Another responded, 'No. It's Thursday.' Still the other answered, 'I'm thirsty, too. Let's have a cup of tea.'" Is it that way for you sometime? Finding that you are not really being heard and understood? I get it! I work with clients to help them find their strengths and abilities that assist them in better communicating their needs to themselves and to others which can lead to better outcomes in overall functioning in their lives. If that sounds like your experience, we can talk about it together.

Hello, I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that). At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy. As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran. Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.

Hello! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice with more than 10 years of experience working with adult individuals and couples. My speciality is the ability to use my training and experience in ways clients need and want; in other words, not a one-size-fits-all approach. I have found that talk therapy as part of a holistic approach to well-being works best for most people. Recently, I have discovered the benefits AI can add to this process and am excited about the possibilities it provides.
