Hi all, my name of Faye Miles and I am a Breast cancer survivor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and have been licensed since 2010. Do you find little happiness in your life? Do you find yourself anxious, depressed, unfilled in relationships, constantly comparing yourself to others? Or do you find little time for yourself always giving your all to your work or others? Have you been hurt by others and are looking for healing or experienced loss that has left you depleted? What if I told you, there are ways to live and feel happy and fulfilled. There are ways to heal. Self-love is important because it motivates much of our positive behavior while reducing harmful behavior. It both empowers us to take risks and to say no to things that don't work for us. It's a key component of building self-compassion. Self-love helps us take care of ourselves, lower stress, and strive for success and I strive to help adolescents, young adults and adults find fulfillment and happiness through exploration and exercises into their identity. This also can promote healing. I am passionate about this work and working with others and if you feel I am the right fit we will work together in this journey to help you explore, find resources and hopefully find self-love, and compassion.

I know at times life can seem confusing or even impossible. I believe with every fiber of my being we all have the answers we need. Somehow we get separated from our core strength. You are the expert on you, you alone hold your truth. I am interested in your story and use the description, "enlightened witness" as a way to describe some of what I do in my work as a therapist and healer. I see myself as a fellow traveler, a helper, and a companion who "holds the lantern" to help guide people to move out of dark places and into their truth. Much of the time we are living a narrative others have crafted, often driven by fear or pain rather than strength. These narratives can feel like prisons but we can heal and take back our story, and choose to see from our core. Embrace compassion, reflection and most of all self-love. Some of my greatest joy comes from helping people move past pain into healthy and loving relationships with themselves and others. I believe suffering is inevitable but not without wisdom and growth. Sometimes seeing our strengths is difficult. Self-love must include your whole being and all parts ~ messy, vulnerable, raw and authentic. You are the velveteen rabbit and you are already worthy of your own love. You are already real. I am licensed in Virginia, West Virginia and Texas. I see clients in these states only at this point. FYI Please schedule on the hour only. Otherwise, I will have to call you back and reschedule. I usually offer mostly daytime hours so having the time to meet during the day is important.

Hi there! I am Stephen Kovacs a licensed clinical social worker with 5 years of experience helping adults who feel constantly “on edge” from anxiety and panic—always braced for the next shoe to drop, even when life looks fine from the outside. I’m licensed as an LISW-CP in South Carolina and an LCSW in North Carolina and Virginia and practice predominantly in the evenings via telehealth. My focus is on high-responsibility adults who are tired of living in survival mode: racing thoughts, worst‑case scenarios, physical symptoms like a racing heart or tight chest, and the burnout that comes from holding everything together for everyone else. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what anxiety and panic are doing in your body and your life, and build concrete tools to manage spirals, reduce avoidance, and feel more in control day to day—not with fluffy advice, but with step‑by‑step, doable changes.

Hey there, I’m Jamie (she/her). If you struggle to feel "seen", if you experience stress with your identity or in your relationships, or maybe if you're new to therapy or you've had not-great encounters with therapists in the past, I hope you'll book a session and give me a try. I am a sex-positive, body-accepting, anti-racist, LGBTQ+ ally in all aspects of my life, and this open-hearted stance deeply informs my work as a clinical therapist. In 2018, I began a personal mindfulness/meditation practice, and find that these techniques can be really helpful in therapy as well. I have a lot of experience, but I am not the expert in *you* - let’s work together to help you discover and follow the path you choose. As far as credentials go: I'm a clinical social worker independently licensed in Virginia and West Virginia and have been practicing as a therapist since 2010. My name is Jennifer Bailey, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Drama Therapist. I help clients identify and pursue the goals that lead to a life filled with meaning, pride, and contentment. Now, you may be wondering: “What exactly is a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT)?” Simply put, it means I integrate elements of theater and creative expression into the therapeutic process. With me, you have options. You might choose a traditional talk-therapy session to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. Or, if words don’t feel like enough, you might try something more experiential—writing, movement, role-play, or even reimagining and practicing conversations that keep replaying in your mind. Talk therapy is a powerful tool for growth, but sometimes it takes more than words to truly process what’s happening inside. That’s where creativity can open new doors. Whether through conversation, movement, sound, or artistic expression, I provide a space where you can choose what feels most healing and helpful. I would be honored to support you—whether that’s working toward personal goals, processing difficult emotions, or making positive and lasting changes in your life.

I understand that "starting counseling" or finding a new therapist can seem overwhelming. That “exhausted-before-I-even-begin” feeling is why I believe so deeply in the efficacy of "telehealth" counseling. . With telehealth, you can tuck into whatever space allows you to feel most at ease. With your coffee or your dog nearby, you don't have to leave your world to talk about your world. My clients often tell me they come into therapy feeling nervous or overwhelmed and eventually find themselves feeling comfortable, understood, and even looking forward to our sessions. That matters to me.

I'm Nicole! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama and Virginia. As a young mom with a blended family, I understand the pressures of parenthood, co-parenting, relationships, and day-to-day stress. I am an ADHD Certified Clinical Services provider, specializing in women's issues and adult ADHD. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology, my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and my post-graduate certification in Advanced Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University. I have always been passionate about helping others, so therapy was a natural fit for me. I decided to specialize in ADHD after realizing that I had been undiagnosed until adulthood and struggled through my childhood and teen years, not realizing that ADHD was the culprit of that distress. I find joy in helping other people find freedom in embracing themselves and finding ways to overcoming or cope with the challenges ADHD presents on a daily basis.

I strive to help those around me achieve a version on themselves that is less impacted by their struggles and more focused on their strengths.

Hello and welcome! I'm Diane, a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Virginia. My passion is helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve their personal and emotional well-being. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and positive change. My role as a counselor is to guide and support you on your journey, helping you to uncover your strengths and achieve your goals. Together, we will work towards a more fulfilling and balanced life. I have an eclectic style that is influenced by a couple of different theoretical orientations. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I pull in different mindfulness and problem-solving techniques to assist you in creating more desired outcomes. Counseling is not a 'one size fits all' endeavor and I will take time to recognize what best suits your needs and goals.

I'm looking to partner with you to merge our strengths in order to discern which tools will be most effective in your journey. I have been working with children and their families my entire career. Since 2010, I have worked with children and their families as an intensive in-home counselor, a counselor and supervisor for therapeutic day treatment in the schools, an outpatient therapist and a residential treatment therapist. My Master of Social Work came from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013. In addition, I have trained others in the ASSIST Living Works Suicide Prevention program in order to break down the avoidance of conversation surrounding suicide. Prior to becoming a therapist, I graduated from Duke Divinity School with a Master of Religious Education, Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity and worked in the church as a minister. While my worldview is Christian and I hope everyone can have a spiritual journey, I am respectful of various views. I look forward to walking with you as you move toward a more meaningful life.

Hi there! I'm Ally. Do you ever feel like you are being pushed and pulled in everyday life, struggling to make it all work? You deserve to live a life that makes you feel excited to face every day - and this can often feel tough. I believe that one of the bravest things you can do is to begin to understand your own story, to see where you have been, as you find new ways to move forward in your life. I have been working in the mental health field for a little over 13 years, working in various settings. These years of experience have nurtured rich relationships, in which wisdom between my clients and myself was often shared together. I am passionate about helping with various issues: anxiety, depression, relationships, adjustment to various life occurrences, and various forms of addiction. Seeking therapy can be scary, but you are worth it! If you want to share your life story with me, let's work together and get started!

Life Transitions
As a neurodivergent Black woman living with a chronic illness and mother of three adult children, two of whom identify with the LGBTQ+ commmunity, I am always interested in the deeper question people carry about their lives. Many of the individuals I work with are thoughtful, capable people who have spent years showing up for others, meeting expectations, and doing what seemed like the responsible thing to do. At some point, though, many begin to notice a quiet sense that something no longer fits. My work centers around helping people slow down enough to understand what is actually happening beneath that feeling. Together we look at the patterns, experiences, and internal narratives that shape how you see yourself and the choices available to you. From that place, people often begin to rediscover a clearer sense of who they are and what direction their lives might take moving forward. I am especially drawn to working with adults navigating identity shifts, relationship transitions, and moments in life where the path forward is no longer obvious.

Eating Disorders
My name is Dave Rogers, and I have been counseling professionally for over 30 years. I have worked at inpatient and residential treatment centers for Eating Disorders, and addictions, and as you can imagine - worked with families and loved ones impacted by these extremely difficult problems. I am so fortunate to have worked with gifted teams of professionals who taught me everything I know. I have also worked extensively as an outpatient therapist since 2011 when I opened my private practice. I heard a statement early in my career that impacted my practice of therapy greatly: "People don't care what you know, until they know you care". Research continues to verify that the quality of the therapy relationship is the foundation for all the other work. So - I do my very best to make a comfortable and supportive relationship from the start, because people often come to therapy with apprehension, fear, or bad experiences with therapy that cause them to be reluctant, or hesitant to open up and address their struggles and pain. One of my early goals in therapy is to listen so well, that the client says "you get me". I do my best to help clients heal, change, grow, and work toward contentment with themselves and life, as much as possible.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
