Are you feeling anxious? Unsure? Stuck? Disconnected? Disappointed? Do you feel like you are living a life that other people pushed you into instead of the life you want? I’m here to help you create a clear vision of who you are and a path for how you can reach that by breaking out of the patterns and cycles that are holding you back. My goal is to create a safe and compassionate space in which we can work together to figure out what’s keeping you stuck, overwhelmed, or confused, and determine how we can help you undo what is keeping you from the life that was meant for you. You have been hurting long enough.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My approach is warm and direct. We will work on building trust as we explore who you are and what is keeping you from being your true self by using open communication and humor, building on your existing strengths and supports, and improving on the good you already have inside of you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have over 15 years of experience and have worked in a variety of settings with people who have diverse backgrounds, problems, and goals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work best with people who want to find a way to connect with the parts of themselves that have gotten lost, pushed down, or confused by the experiences, people, and situations in their lives, leading them to feel lost, lonely, or overwhelmed. My specialties include depression, life transitions, anxiety, and self-esteem. Helping someone find the strength and power that is already within themselves and using that as a tool to move beyond the fears, hurts, and patterns that are keeping them stuck.

My treatment methods

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

We don't always fully realize or understand the things that have led us to the place we find ourselves or how those experiences are impacting our lives now, why we feel alone and misunderstood even when we are surrounded by people we love. By diving deeply into the feelings and experiences that are shaping our lives now and examining those in a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship, we can build corrective emotional connections and build healthy, positive changes in how you process your thoughts, feelings, and relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Some emotional problems are based in distorted or unhelpful thought patterns, unhealthy patterns, or learned behaviors. These types of problems can be resolved by identifying what is going wrong and developing tools, coping skills, and strategies to help you change how your brain approaches those problems, empowering you to cope with difficult situations in different ways.

Trauma Informed Care

By understanding and paying close attention to the ways that the things you have experienced have changed your feelings, mind, and body, we can attune to finding ways for you to grow beyond what has happened to you and help you focus on building the life you want for yourself going forward.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing helps you more clearly see where you are currently versus where you'd truly like to be. By seeing this discrepancy, you are empowered to take action toward the life you envision. I use a variety of techniques and tools that help you evaluate the unconscious patterns that have been running in the background so you can make conscious choices to live authentically and get back to enjoying life.
