Maybe you love your partner but rarely feel interested in sex. Maybe your desire has changed after motherhood, stress, medication changes, relationship difficulties, trauma, or simply over time. You might find yourself thinking, “I want to want sex—but I just don’t.” I specialize in working with women experiencing low sexual desire, desire differences in relationships, intimacy concerns, sexual shame, and feeling disconnected from their bodies or sexual selves. Sex therapy with me is not about pressuring you to have more sex or meeting someone else’s expectations. Together, we’ll explore the emotional, relational, psychological, biological, and lifestyle factors that may be affecting your desire. We may work on understanding your unique desire patterns, reducing pressure around intimacy, strengthening boundaries and communication, reconnecting with your body, and discovering what intimacy and pleasure actually mean to you. My goal is to provide a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can talk openly about sex, relationships, desire, and intimacy without embarrassment or shame—and develop a sexual life that feels authentic to you.

Greetings to you and all With a wish for good health and peace in your life. My name is Sherby John. I have been working and learning along this journey, we call life, just as you have. It can be a journey filled with joy and struggle. Whether you are dealing with Depression, Life changes, Anxiety, Relationships, Trauma, or a new medical or mental health diagnosis, therapy can be a useful mechanism for support, discernment, and information. I would like to provide you with a safe and welcoming environment and space to relieve yourself of these stressors through working on alternatives to current reactions to triggers or stressors in the way of continuing your journey, your way and at your own pace. First of all, I love what I do and to witness the positive changes clients make in their lives as a result of choosing therapy to help them accomplish what they want. Often the goal is to achieve symptom relief so as to not be overwhelmed by anxiety, mood disorders or be better able to manage the challenges of ADHD. Sometimes there is not a specific outcome identified but a need for ongoing support for dealing with life transitions or difficult people. Sometimes clients use therapy as a confidential sounding board where they can talk to an objective outsider about situations and sort out their perspective. I offer various ways to see and respond to situations that might otherwise not be considered. Your opinion as a client is the most important one and I will also honestly provide mine when asked for. I believe therapy can actually be something that you can look forward to and an opportunity to learn new skills to use long after you discontinue, and we can even have some fun and laughs along the journey.

My name is Michael Starr, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy is more than just problem-solving, it’s a place to rediscover who you are, heal what’s been hidden, and move forward with clarity and strength. I work with individuals, couples, and families facing anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, identity questions, and emotional overwhelm. My style is honest, grounded, and deeply respectful of the human experience. Together, we uncover the patterns keeping you there and build the insight, skills, and resilience to move through them. You won’t be rushed or judged. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when they are met with compassion, respect, and genuine understanding. My approach to therapy is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore life's challenges at their own pace. I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, addiction, and suicidal ideation, providing compassionate, evidence-based care during some of life's most difficult moments. I also have experience supporting military members, veterans, first responders, and couples, recognizing the unique stressors and relationship dynamics these populations often experience. Clients often describe me as inquisitive, personable, and easy to talk to. I believe that curiosity, authentic connection, and thoughtful listening are essential to understanding each person's unique story, Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I collaborate with clients to identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and develop practical strategies that foster resilience, healing, and lasting change. Whether you are navigating a life transition, working through emotional pain, strengthening your relationships, or seeking personal growth, I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy, respect, and encouragement as you move toward the life you want to create.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like one of the hardest first steps, and I believe you deserve a space where you can simply be yourself, without fear of judgment. My goal is to create a supportive, compassionate environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward the life you want. I work with adolescents, adults, older adults, families, and athletes who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, or feelings of being stuck. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you from living the life you deserve while building practical tools to help you navigate challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion. I believe healing begins with curiosity rather than criticism. Many of us have learned to accept our thoughts as facts or carry beliefs about ourselves that were shaped by painful experiences. Therapy offers an opportunity to gently examine those beliefs, develop new perspectives, and reconnect with your strengths and values. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care to help you build resilience, increase emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're looking for short-term support to work through a specific challenge or longer-term therapy to heal from past experiences, I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing and growth.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, proudly continuing a family legacy of service and commitment to helping others. With over a decade of experience, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, home health, outpatient centers, and most recently within a K–12 school system. Throughout my career, I have considered it a true privilege to support individuals during some of their most vulnerable and transformative moments. I specialize in individual therapy and am now opening my practice to teens. My recent experience as a School Social Worker allowed me to provide direct therapeutic services to students across all grade levels, supporting them through anxiety, depression, academic stress, peer and family challenges, and crisis situations. This chapter feels especially meaningful, as I originally pursued my education with the goal of becoming a School Social Worker. In many ways, this transition represents a full-circle moment in my professional journey. I bring the insight, developmental understanding, and collaborative approach from the school setting into my practice, offering teens and their families compassionate, structured, and informed support.

Hi, I’m Tiffany, a licensed clinical social worker who provides individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related stress, grief, major life transitions, emotional overwhelm, low self-confidence, relationship difficulties, and challenges with boundaries or communication. My goal is to provide a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and explore the experiences that have shaped how you think, feel, cope, and connect with others. I understand that many people come to therapy after spending years taking care of everyone else, pushing through difficult situations, minimizing their own needs, or trying to hold everything together. You may appear strong and capable to others while privately feeling exhausted, disconnected, anxious, or unsure of what to do next. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and practical. We will make room to process difficult emotions while also identifying patterns, developing coping strategies, strengthening communication, and creating meaningful steps toward change. I believe therapy should provide more than a place to talk—it should help you understand yourself more clearly and use that understanding in your everyday life. Whether you are experiencing a recent challenge or working through patterns that have developed over many years, we will begin where you are and move at a pace that respects your needs. I currently provide individual psychotherapy for adults and am not accepting new couples or family therapy clients.

Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in the heart of Virginia. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2020 and have been practicing as a counselor for the past six years. My approach to therapy is grounded in validation, compassion, and hope. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and that even when things feel overwhelming or uncertain, you have the ability to create meaningful change. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward the person you want to be. I work primarily with adolescents and young adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, parenting, and the many changes that come with different stages of life. I especially value working with individuals and families who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to begin. Therapy doesn’t have to be about “fixing” who you are. Sometimes, it’s about understanding yourself more deeply, recognizing your strengths, and finding the tools and confidence to move forward. Wherever you are in your journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
