My therapeutic approach is person-centered, recognizing clients as the experts in their own lives. I support and guide them through interpersonal changes and healing, with the goal of helping them recover from past wounds and gain a renewed perspective on life.
My primary strategy is to empathize with patients and collaborate to solve problems, ensuring they do not feel alone when facing challenges.
I am well-positioned to support individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, as well as couples facing relationship challenges. Individual sessions are designed to help you develop a plan for learning coping skills and thought-stopping techniques to address negative thoughts. During the first three sessions, we will focus on building rapport and identifying your needs and challenges. I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in these sessions. In couples therapy, I begin by gathering the couple’s history and identifying concerns to establish a treatment plan. Each session, couples may bring a list of topics for discussion, and I will introduce tools to support their progress.

I identify as
Trauma-Focused CBT
Trauma-focused therapy is structured as follows: We begin by reviewing coping skills and how to apply them at any emotional intensity. Next, we identify your triggers and practice using coping strategies in response. We define these triggers and discuss the importance of exposure therapy. Finally, we address thoughts related to your trauma and explore ways to manage anxiety and anger that may arise.
