Hello, I earned my master’s in social work from University of Maryland, School of Social Work, Baltimore, MD in 2010. I have Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) in MD, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in DC and Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in VA. For more than 10 years, I have utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic, person-center, strength-focused therapy and other psychotherapy Intervention to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual or family in diverse therapy environment. I am commented to assist people to live life to their fullest potential because we all have one life to live, and we deserve to be in peace with ourselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions and the reason that you are seeking mental health services. Then, we will talk about your attempts to resolve the issue and the result of those attempts to avoid attempting to do things that previously did not work. These will assist us with creating an effective plan to assist us with meeting your treatment goal. You may or may not have an assignment depending on the topic that we covered.

Having worked with people from 0 year and above from diverse background for over 15 years, I have gained various knowledge on how to assist you with identifying the root cause of your challenges and create an effective plan to measure your progress.

I love working with people from age 6 and above from diverse backgrounds who need assistance with managing ADHD, depression, anxiety and PTSD. My clients are eager to improve self; however, they do not have the necessary tools to do so. They often have a disability that hinders them from achieving their career or personal goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For more than 10 years, I have utilized CBT for people from 14 years old and above. I have utilized CBT for clients with depression, anxiety and PTSD to assist them with identifying and modifying their thoughts, which assist them with adjusting their feelings and behaviors.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

For 10 years, I have utilized CPT for people from 5 years old and above to address the negative thoughts and beliefs that come with traumatic events, which improves their ability to process and cope with the traumatic events.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

For 5 years, I have utilized DBT for people from 10 years old and above to manage intense emotions and reduce self-harm while improving interpersonal relationships.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

For more than 10 years, I have utilized Solution Focused Brief Treatment for people from 6 years old and above. I have utilized Solution Focused Brief Treatment to assist clients with identifying and utilizing their strengths and resources to create positive change for themselves.

Mind-body approach

For 10 years, I have utilized a Mind-body approach to assist clients from 6 years old and above with understanding the importance of taking care of their physical and mental health to achieve optimal well-being.
