About me

Hi, I’m glad you’re here. Starting therapy can feel like a lot, so I focus on building a down-to-earth space where you can just be yourself and speak freely. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 8 years of experience working with clients across the lifespan, and my practice primarily focuses on adolescents and adults. Over the last nearly a decade, I have walked alongside people dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and major phase-of-life changes. My background includes a mix of fast-paced crisis intervention and deep individual therapy. Because of that, I know how to help you find quick grounding tools when things feel overwhelming, while also doing the deeper work to figure out what comes next. Ultimately, we will work together to help you process what you've been through and build a life that feels more meaningful and manageable to you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is really just a low-pressure conversation to see if we are a good fit. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet, and you don't have to share your whole life story on day one unless you want to. Here is what we will actually do during our first session together:     •    Get comfortable: We will handle any quick housekeeping or paperwork questions so we can focus entirely on you.     •    Understand what's going on: I will ask what brings you to therapy right now and what has been feeling the heaviest lately, whether that is anxiety, trauma, or a major life shift.     •    Look at the big picture: We might briefly touch on your background and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past.     •    Set a game plan: We will talk about what you actually want to get out of therapy so we can make sure our future sessions are practical and useful for your day-to-day life. Ultimately, you are in the driver's seat. We will go entirely at your pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

The foundation of my work is building a strong therapeutic alliance a genuine, trusting partnership where you feel safe enough to be completely honest. Because a good relationship is the most important part of therapy, everything I bring into our sessions is designed to strengthen that bond. Having spent years in crisis intervention and trauma work, I bring a steady, grounded presence into the room. I do not shock easily and I don’t get overwhelmed when things feel chaotic, which means you always have a safe place to land when life feels too heavy. My history with trauma allows me to understand how past hurts shape your present brain, body, and relationships, and I know how to pace our sessions safely so we can process difficult things without leaving you feeling flooded. Instead of just sitting in silence nodding my head, I bring a warm, active energy to our sessions, showing up as a real human being who is collaborating with you in real-time. Because I care about your growth, I won't just tell you what you want to hear. Once we have built a solid foundation of trust, I will bring in some gentle challenging to help you look at old patterns, blind spots, or self-limiting beliefs that might be keeping you stuck, always with kindness and never with judgment

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adolescents and adults who are navigating intense, overwhelming emotions tied to either historic or present-day trauma, significant phase-of-life changes, anxiety, or depression. You might feel like your emotions are running the show right now, or you might be feeling completely stuck trying to manage the weight of what you have been through. Whether you are actively trying to heal from past wounds, facing a sudden and disruptive life transition, or dealing with the daily exhaustion of anxiety and low mood, you are a great fit for my practice. I work best with individuals who are ready to explore these challenges in a down-to-earth environment, pacing the work together so you can safely regain a sense of stability and control over your life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Think of CBT as a collaborative, step-by-step approach to understanding how your mind works. In our online sessions, we talk through how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. We will look at how a stressful situation can trigger an automatic negative thought, which then leaves you feeling overwhelmed or stuck. By talking these patterns through together, you will learn how to catch those thoughts in real-time and practice shifting them in your daily life at home.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is a conversational, values-based therapy that helps you stop fighting your own mind. Instead of exhausting yourself trying to force anxiety or heavy thoughts to completely disappear, we focus on helping you accept those difficult feelings so they lose their power over you. We will talk about what truly matters to you—your core life values—and work together to figure out practical steps you can take to move toward those goals, even when tough emotions try to get in your way.
