Born and raised in the inner city by a single mother and a large extended family, I noticed the needs of those that were mentally or physically diagnosed were often not met. Therefore, I began to inquire about what I needed to do in order to be a part of the solution. I began to work in the field and I have worked in Behavioral/Mental Health for close to 20 years. My experience covers a plethora of ages and diagnosis across many settings. My determination to treat and support those with mental health diagnosis during the pandemic inspired me to perform outpatient therapy via telehealth to adults and adolescents. I specialize in adults 25-55 with various diagnoses but primarily Anxiety, PTSD, trauma and Depression to name a few. I love to utilize CBT, CPT, trauma informed care (TIC) and Motivational Interviewing as treatment modalities.

In my practice, I utilize an integrative approach that draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities. I believe that no single therapeutic method works for everyone, which is why I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with. My toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps clients identify and change negative thought patterns; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which focuses on building skills for emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness; Person-Centered therapy, which emphasizes empathy and unconditional positive regard; Solution-Focused therapy, which concentrates on finding practical solutions to present challenges; EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is particularly effective for trauma processing; and Psychoeducation, which empowers clients with knowledge about their conditions and coping strategies.

Hello Friend! Welcome to my practice, Pragmatic Solutions Therapy, PLLC! I am an experienced psychotherapist with over 20 years. I've worked in private practice and in the clinical hospital setting and now own my own thriving practice. I have passion, dedication and ethical standards that I make sure to uphold with every client. My basic mantra in life is simple: Drop the baggage and take the value. Step out of that box and if you can't change the problem, then change the way you see it using a different perspective. Everyone at one point or another in life experiences a host of unbearable stressors which may leave one feeling stressed or 'out of sorts'. We may even describe that feeling as 'lost in a web of frustration', which feels like anxiousness, fatigue, and perhaps sadness; as if our unique threshold has been completely depleted. Feeling anxious is normal. Feeling stressed is actually a sense of determination to gain back control, though if comes with temporary tiredness. Anxiousness is innate in all of us. What's not healthy is when stressors cross the threshold of your wellbeing and you stay stuck there, feeling uncomfortable, which interrupts our daily habits/responsibilities to 'fix things' and you are left in solitude. I’ll help you navigate the web of confusion to find empowerment. Respectfully, Monica Pina

Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD. I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings. Throughout my career, I have provided individual and group therapy as well as comprehensive psychological assessments to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, substance-use concerns, and life-transition stressors. My clinical background includes work in hospitals, substance-use treatment programs, and outpatient private practice, where I integrate evidence-based approaches within a holistic, person-centered framework. I am also the author of When Heaven Was Silent: Integrating Psychology and Theology in the Garden of Gethsemane, which explores the experience of mental suffering through both clinical and historical perspectives. My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose. In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. My goal is to help you move toward a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful life.

Hi, I’m Sandy Crisp. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I help adults and teens who are facing challenges like complex trauma, PTSD, addiction and recovery, chronic health issues, anxiety, depression, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Before I became a trauma therapist, I went through my own journey that included multiple surgeries and years of rehabilitation. That experience gave me a deep understanding of what it’s like to live with invisible pain -- physical and emotional -- and how hard it can be to feel seen and supported while you're trying to hold everything together. It changed how I listen, how I connect, and how I support people in their healing. In addition to being an LPC, I’m a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. I specialize in: • Complex trauma and PTSD • Addiction, substance use, and recovery support • Chronic pain and chronic illness • Anxiety, panic, and mood disorders • Grief, loss, and adjustment to life changes • Co-occurring disorders • Disability Affirming Care • Limb Loss Support • Navigating identity, self-worth, and personal growth My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I blend clinical tools with a human touch because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Whether you're navigating something recent or something that's been with you a long time, we’ll work together to help you feel safer in your body, clearer in your mind, and more connected to yourself.

I am a licensed clinician with nearly twenty years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, life transitions, and complex stressors. Much of my clinical work has been in primary care settings, where I worked with individuals experiencing the intersection of mental health concerns, medical conditions, and significant life challenges. I take a strengths‑based, collaborative approach and value creating space for clients to share their stories in a way that feels respectful and empowering. My work focuses on building practical coping skills, supporting emotional balance, and helping clients navigate change at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful. I draw from evidence‑based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT‑informed), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT‑informed), mindfulness‑based strategies, Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I also have extensive experience collaborating with psychiatrists and supporting clients who are receiving psychiatric medication as part of their care. I value ongoing learning and continuing education to ensure my work remains thoughtful, ethical, and responsive to each client’s needs. I recognize that starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or overwhelming, and I strive to create a supportive, grounded space where growth can happen with honesty, compassion, and mutual respect. I utilize a trauma-informed, person-centered, psychodynamic approach in therapy and often incorporate CBT, DBT and mindfulness techniques. I am a certified revisioning practitioner, a technique that simulates re-attachment for grief resolution and ego-integration. My certification through the FBI National Academy in resiliency allows me to train local police departments throughout the Metroplex in critical incident and mental health orientation trainings. I truly consider it an honor and a privilege to partner with you in your journey towards wholeness. No one should live a life full of shame, rejection, regret, or guilt. I strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore and live your life in the renewed freedoms you are intended to have, with fullness and in joy. There is a plan and a purpose for your life, full of unique strengths and talents. My goal is to help you become all that you were created to be. Together we will access your own inner wisdom in moving towards your true identity.

As a former football coach, I have developed an approach to therapy that will allow me to utilize coaching concepts to address the needs of my clients. It encompasses a direct approach to address problems with the a level of understanding and empathy that will support a change in behavior. This works well with my CBT background. Therefore I have branded myself as The Therapy Coach. Which means that I am more than just a therapist to my clients.

I am an LPC offering therapy to children, teens and adults. I believe it very important to understand how our past shapes and influences our present choices. I believe we see and relate to the world the way we were shaped from an early age. Knowing who we are and how we see and perceive the world helps us understand and relate better to ourselves and others. -

Hello, I am glad you took the time to read my biography. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has a heart for people who are looking for empowerment and growth. I personally know what this feels like and how difficult it can be. I was blessed to have people in my life to help me during my "trying times." Honestly, I still do. I am Bi-lingual, (Spanish) and have been practicing for 13 years. I have worked with teenagers, adults, and couples. I do not work with children due to my lack of training. My experience entails working with addictions and various disorders. I believe in both therapy and medication and am cultural competent to utilize as resources. My heart is working with trauma and am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that my job is to have my clients get to the point where they are no longer needing my services. That's right, to get myself fired! I believe that we were created in the image of the Creator which means the ability to love and be loved and to have the freedom to make wise decisions which help navigate us through this journey we are on. Thank you again for reading my biography. I wish you the freedom you are looking for and believe YOU ARE WORTH IT!

I help couples and individuals to navigate different challenges involving romantic, familial and other interpersonal relationship dynamics. I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past five years. It’s helped so many of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other that keep you in unhealthy cycles.

Hello! Welcome to LIV Counseling, LLC! I would like to congratulate your act of courage in embarking on this journey. I understand for many sharing their personal struggles is not easy. Vulnerability is uncomfortable. With any success one must get comfortable with being uncomfortable. I created LIV counseling in 2021 to fulfill my desire to help those who feel lost, lifeless, emotionless, and withdrawn from life's greatest pleasures. I believe everyone has the ability to be the best version of themselves. I am Mexican by nature and American by heart. I integrate both cultures to provide my authentic rhythm to the work I provide to my clients. I also value honesty, commitment, and communication, thus, incorporate these values into my practice. My approach is not religion based rather focuses on the spiritual-self .
