Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with over fifteen years of experience in hospitals, college counseling centers, adoption agencies, and elder care environments. Over the past five years, I have also worked in private practice, supporting adults as they navigate stress, trauma, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences. My approach is grounded in trauma informed care and emphasizes safety, trust, and collaboration. I work to listen deeply to both your words and your nervous system responses, paying attention to patterns and emotions that may be shaped by past experiences. Please note: While I have extensive experience supporting adults with ADD, ADHD, and autism, I do not provide formal diagnoses or prescribe medication. Additionally, I am not able to provide Emotional Support Animal letters, as this is outside my scope of clinical practice.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our work together, we will spend time understanding what has led you to seek therapy while identifying the goals that feel most meaningful to you. I will ask questions to better understand your background as well as current concerns, and I may offer gentle reflections or ideas for you to consider between sessions. I view therapy as your time and your space. You are welcome to take a pause, eat a snack, or step away briefly. I also encourage you to prioritize comfort, which may include lying in bed, wearing pajamas, or settling in however feels most supportive. There are a few guidelines required for telehealth sessions. You need to be alone, located in Texas at the time of our visit, and in a space where your safety can be ensured. Outside of that, I invite you to make your environment feel as comfortable as possible.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I consider my biggest strengths to be my compassion and curiosity. My goal is to understand who you truly are, not who you feel you should be. From that place, we can better identify what is supporting you and what may be getting in the way so we can work toward change that feels meaningful. I value your feedback and see our work as a collaborative process. I am attentive to what feels helpful and I am willing to adjust our approach to best meet your needs. I do not approach therapy from a place of judgment. Instead, I am focused on understanding what works for you and how we can build on your strengths together.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I provide individual therapy for adults of all ages. I have experience supporting clients through emotional difficulties, life challenges, identity and relationship questions, trauma and resilience discussions, health and caregiving concerns, and neurodivergence. This might look like conversations around depression, anxiety, OCD, grief or loss. We could also discuss career decisions, life transitions, parenting concerns, LGBTQ+ identity or relationships. Frequently, my style of therapy touches on relationship needs as well as healing from trauma. I have also supported adults through chronic illnesses, cancer diagnoses, adoption concerns, and women focused issues. Each person’s story is different and I believe a flexible, person centered approach is essential for sustainable growth.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients build a more flexible and compassionate relationship with their thoughts and feelings. Instead of struggling to control or avoid uncomfortable emotions, we practice noticing them with acceptance while focusing on actions that align with personal values. This approach helps you create a more meaningful life and centers what matters to you most.
Attachment-based
With attachment-based therapy, I help clients explore how early relationships and experiences have shaped their patterns of connection, trust, and emotional safety. By understanding these dynamics, you can begin to heal old wounds and create healthier, more secure relationships in the present. This approach focuses on fostering self compassion, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of psychological safety.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. By identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and practicing new ways of responding, you can shift out of cycles that keep you feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Together, we focus on building practical coping skills and developing more balanced, realistic ways of seeing yourself and the world.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I use ERP to help clients gently face the fears or anxieties that keep them feeling stuck. Together, we identify the situations or thoughts that trigger distress and then practice approaching them in a safe, supported way without relying on the usual avoidance or reassurance behaviors. Over time, this helps your brain learn that you can handle discomfort and that the fears lose their power.

My first intake session I learned a lot. We talked about my past and experiences that led up to what I was feeling today. I loved how she backed up what was said through science and certain experiences other people have felt in scientific experiences. She talked about the stages of change and it really helped me out!
