Hi! I’m Dr. McCusker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified School Counselor & a Certified College Access Counselor. I have over 25 years of Counseling experience in private practice, public & private schools and as an Adjunct Professor for Counseling graduate school. I help clients walk through all aspects of life transitions from working with parents who are trying to connect with their children to clients who have anxiety or depression to helping adults with anything life throws at you. We will work together identify your challenges and goals...what do you want your life to look like in 1 month or a year from now? We will then identify tools and strategies you can use to achieve your goals. You will leave each session with a better understanding of your challenges and then an action plan approach. I am here to listen and walk beside you through your life journey. I create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that includes multiple treatment modalities for clients to discover what is causing their difficulties in life.
In our first session, we will get to know each other, go over limits of confidentiality and discuss what brought you to counseling. We will discuss your goals and begin planning your treatment.
Having worked with a wide range of clients from ages 3-88 who have a variety of presenting problems, I am able to adjust and adapt to the different needs of each client. I’ve also had years of experience in a variety of counseling settings.
I love working with clients who have a variety of presenting problems. I am open to working with clients who are age 18 and up. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I am best suited to not work with personality disorders.
With over 25 years of using CBT in schools and private practice, I find it to be an effective way to help clients in their counseling journey.
