Feeling lost in the chaos of life or the tough stuff most therapists won’t touch? Hi, My name is John’Neiska "JoJo" Williams and I am a licensed professional counselor in the states TX, GA LA, CO and I can assure you, you’ve come to the right place. Kick off your shoes and relax your feet—because therapy with me will never be a cliché. Therapy isn’t just venting—I’m not here for small talk. I have a laid-back vibe, but make no mistake I’m here to challenge, teach, and help you grow with real change. No clichés, no endless “How does that make you feel?” I believe that true healing happens when we bring the mind and body into the same conversation. While most people think thoughts lead to behaviors, I’ve seen how often behaviors can shape thoughts and how powerful it can be to work counterintuitively to spark change. Thats why I focus on the primary use of Counterintuitive Therapy that is rooted in  blended approaches from the frameworks of Behavior therapy and Gestalt therapy in a way that’s present-focused, dynamic, and deeply human. Some moments in life demand that we focus on the here and now, while others call for us to explore how the body has been keeping score of past experiences. Some emotions and stress doesn’t fit meet the criteria of a one-size-fits-all model. That’s why I incorporate a range of  behavioral tools and more specialized eccentric approaches, including Ketamine & Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, DBT, creative expressive play, and counterintuitive skills, all tailored to fit your needs.

Go from Trauma, Chaos & Emotional Pain to a Life Filled with Joy, Healthy Boundaries & Healing “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.” “It’s always something.” “I just can’t seem to get ahead.” These are just a few of the defeating statements we often utter when our circumstances don’t match up with our expectations. And a lot of the time, it’s because of some trauma, struggle or problem that is overwhelming us. It’s hard to manage stress when your personal challenges, past trauma or relationship chaos are preventing you from living the life you’ve always dreamed of. Add on the daily struggles of being a Black man or woman in America, and those problems can seem insurmountable. Whether you’re suffering from past trauma, chemical dependencies, dysfunctional relationships or sexually intrusive behaviors, the bottom line is this: There are few safe spaces for people of color looking for nonjudgmental, straightforward, yet caring mental health advice on how to approach these challenges, so they stop disrupting daily life. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “therapy” and “mental health” are taboo words in our community. That’s because therapy has been historically colonized and not personalized for your unique challenges as a person of color. I’m here to change that. I’m Elizabeth McCoy, the Transformation Therapist. I’m trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Brainspotting. All from DECOLONIZED lens. Translation? No matter what barriers or blocks are keeping you from living your best life, I’ve got the well-rounded POV, deep training and know-how to help you reclaim your joy, set healthy boundaries and heal in a space designed just for you! Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Texas and California. I am also a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider in Texas. I received my doctoral degree in counselor education from Texas A&M in Corpus Christi, TX. I enjoy working with persons from all walks of life and am actively involved in research and learning about Autism Spectrum Disorder - specifically adult diagnosed persons; lowering victim numbers through sexual abuser prevention, treatment, and provider care; as well as the biological/neurological changes which contribute to addiction. Helping people navigate life transitions and new expectations from emerging adulthood, , mid-life changes including sexuality, children, careers, relationship types, and all the chaos of life, to end of life decisions and stresses as parents pass on, retirement choices have to be made, grandchildren raised, disease, and loss of friends and family. For persons who have spent part of their lives in jails and prisons, navigating the world that changed while you were not active in it is often difficult, helping you take those steps to understanding your new normal is my privilege.
