I’m so glad you’re here. The fact that you’ve found your way to this page tells me that something within you is already stirring—seeking clarity, healing, or a deeper sense of home within yourself. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with extensive training in addiction recovery, and I hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Somatic Depth Psychology. For more than 25 years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside remarkably thoughtful, resilient, and gifted individuals—people I am honored to call my clients. At this stage of my work, I most deeply identify with integrative psychotherapy. To me, this means working holistically—honoring the mind, body, emotions, and spirit—to help people remember who they truly are beneath coping strategies, trauma, expectations, and survival patterns. My intention is not to fix or change you, but to support you in finding your way home to your most authentic self—the self that knows how to live with clarity, integrity, and compassion.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first step together begins simply with whatever you feel led to share. You are invited to bring what is on your heart, in your mind, what weighs on your spirit, and what you may not yet have words for. This is a space of listening, presence, and discernment. From there, we will thoughtfully shape a path forward, an action plan that reflects your deepest intentions, values, and the direction you feel called to move. During this initial session, you are welcome to ask any questions about the process, what our work together may look like, and the length of time that feels appropriate for your healing journey. I believe therapy is meant to be purposeful and life-giving, not endless. We will regularly pause to reflect on your progress, making adjustments as needed so that our work remains aligned, effective, and respectful of the time, energy, and resources you are offering. My hope is that each step we take together supports greater clarity, freedom, and a deeper sense of wholeness.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked extensively with first responders, active-duty military, veterans, and civilians as they face some of life’s most difficult and defining experiences, I have come to deeply trust the healing process when it is approached with both skill and reverence. My work draws from a wide range of clinically proven modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT), EMDR, and somatic-based therapies, which I combine thoughtfully to meet each person where they are. I wholeheartedly believe that the combination of my professional training, lived life experience, and a posture of compassion and presence allows me to walk alongside others in a way that is both grounded and transformative. It is my intention to offer a space where you feel deeply seen, supported, and guided as you move toward healing, integration, and a more whole and authentic way of being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I offer a safe and respectful space where you are free to share your life experiences without fear of judgment, rejection, or being misunderstood. Many people reach a point where the effort of compartmentalizing, suppressing pain, or carrying unspoken regrets becomes too heavy to sustain. This can include wounds caused by others, choices made in survival, or moments where life did not unfold as hoped. If you find yourself at this threshold, tired of carrying it all alone and sensing that you may be ready to explore what healing could look like, I invite you to reach out. Beginning this conversation can be a meaningful first step toward relief, integration, and a deeper sense of peace and purpose.

My treatment methods

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is commonly used to treat trauma-related disorders including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Its effectiveness lies in its ability to help individuals process distressing memories and associated emotions and sensations. The best use of EMDR in therapy practice is for clients who have experienced significant trauma or distressing events, such as survivors of abuse, accidents, or combat veterans. It can also be beneficial for individuals struggling with anxiety, or phobias.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on helping individuals develop psychological flexibility by accepting their thoughts and feelings rather than trying to control them, and committing to actions that align with their values. ACT is used to help people with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, substance abuse, and trauma. It aims to empower individuals to live more meaningful and fulfilling lives by promoting psychological flexibility, resilience, and a greater sense of well-being by helping individuals develop more adaptive ways of responding to life's challenges.

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling offers a unique approach to therapy that integrates psychological principles with Christian faith and values, providing individuals with holistic support and guidance in their journey toward healing and wholeness.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Central to IFS therapy is the concept of the "Self," or "True Self," which represents the core, compassionate, and wise aspect of an individual. The goal of IFS is to help individuals access their most authentic Self and develop a nurturing and guiding relationship with it. By doing so, individuals can lead their integral system with wisdom, compassion, and clarity, facilitating healing, integration, and personal growth. IFS therapy involves various techniques, including visualization, dialogue, and mindfulness practices, to explore and understand the different parts of the psyche, resolve inner conflicts, and promotes greater harmony and balance within the individual. It is effective in addressing a wide range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and personal development.
