Robin Margolin, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who works individually with adults and young adults. She blends a practical, goal-oriented approach with warmth, compassion, and a touch of humor. By using a scientific framework, Robin tailors treatments to each person’s unique needs, fostering personal growth, emotional resilience, and mental clarity. With a down-to-earth style, she helps clients identify and address challenges in a way that feels approachable and supportive, all while creating a space where healing can happen with both seriousness and lightness.
In our first session, we’ll start by addressing any basic questions you may have. We’ll review any signed paperwork and discuss confidentiality to ensure you feel comfortable and informed. During this initial meeting, I’ll gather some standard information about your life, so I may need to interrupt you more than usual. In future sessions, we’ll have more space for free-flowing conversation. By the end of our first meeting, I aim to have a clear understanding of your goals and will present the strategies I believe will be most helpful for you. It’s completely normal for more thoughts and feelings to arise after our first session, and we may begin our next meeting by discussing anything that came up for you.
My greatest strengths as a therapy provider are rooted in compassion and a deep ability to understand your unique experience. I focus on identifying your strengths and finding ways to capitalize on them, empowering you to move forward with confidence. I gently guide change, offering feedback when a strategy may not be working and adjusting as needed. Above all, I bring patience to our work, knowing that change takes time and that every step, no matter how small, is progress.
Robin Margolin’s ideal therapy client is curious, open-minded, and willing to try new approaches to personal growth. Often young adults, they may be struggling with depression, anxiety, overwhelm, relationship challenges, or adjusting to major life changes. They may also be questioning their beliefs, recovering from religious trauma, or searching for spiritual clarity. They value an honest, down-to-earth therapist who offers practical guidance, genuine support, and a willingness to explore meaningful change together.

Robin has really helped me feel heard. I appreciate that she is very goal oriented based on what I share, looking for the next steps. This is great for staying focused and improving, while also helping to keep my mind from dwelling. I feel like her personality would match well with many people and I will recommend her to others.
