I'm Dr. Kaytreona Wright, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Doctor of Social Work. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, postpartum adjustment, school and work stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions.

I am currently licensed in the States of Illinois, Georgia, New Mexico, California, Alabama, Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas.

I provide a supportive space to process challenges, build practical skills, and create healthier patterns.

First session

Your first session is about getting to know you beyond the reason you scheduled therapy. We'll talk about what's been going on, what feels most challenging right now, what you've already tried, and what you would like to change. You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive. Together, we'll begin identifying your needs, strengths, and goals and develop a starting point for our work together.

Strengths

I bring warmth, honesty, and a practical perspective to therapy. I create a nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard while also being encouraged to grow. I'm especially skilled at helping clients break overwhelming challenges into manageable steps, identify patterns, build healthier boundaries, create structure and routines, and find realistic strategies that work in their everyday lives.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are teens and adults who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for something in their lives to change. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, postpartum adjustment, school or work stress, relationship concerns, or a major life transition. They want support with understanding themselves, creating healthier routines, improving relationships and boundaries, getting organized, and rebuilding a sense of balance and confidence.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors may be connected. Together, we identify patterns that may contribute to anxiety, depression, stress, low confidence, or feeling stuck and develop healthier ways of responding. I also incorporate practical strategies clients can use between sessions to manage challenges in everyday life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use a solution-focused approach to help clients identify what they want to change and the practical steps that can move them toward their goals. We build on strengths, past successes, and what is already working rather than focusing only on problems. This can be especially helpful when working on routines, boundaries, school or work challenges, relationships, and life transitions.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I incorporate emotionally focused strategies to help clients better understand their emotions, relationship patterns, and how they respond when they feel hurt, disconnected, overwhelmed, or misunderstood. We work toward expressing needs in healthier ways, improving communication, strengthening boundaries, and developing more secure and fulfilling relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based strategies to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and reactions without immediately becoming overwhelmed by them. Clients can learn ways to slow down, stay present, manage stress, regulate emotions, and respond more intentionally. These skills can be incorporated into everyday routines in realistic and manageable ways.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients make room for difficult thoughts and emotions without allowing them to determine every decision or action. We explore what matters most to you, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward choices that align with your values. The goal isn't to eliminate every uncomfortable feeling, but to build the flexibility to keep moving toward the life you want.
