Hi! I'm Nicole Johnson, a Texas resident, but Louisiana native. I completed my Master's of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern State University. I find passion in working with BIPOC adults that have been generationally affected by the mental health stigma. I bring my authentic self to the counseling relationship in hopes that you will be comfortable to do the same. I'm considered to have more of a relaxed approach to therapy, which often includes laughter when appropriate and will feel more like a conversation with an old friend - without the judgement or personal opinions.
Together, we will create a personalized healing plan geared towards increasing self-compassion, developing healthy boundaries, and transforming the cycles of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and emotional burnout.
I am here to provide you with a safe space to laugh, cry, and most importantly, process it all. Process the day to day stress, any depression you may be feeling, or any trauma that you have experienced.
Have you been carrying the weight of unresolved pain from your childhood? Or maybe struggling with the lasting impact of a difficult relationship with your mother? Or are you the go-to person who seems to “have it all together”, but behind closed doors you're barely holding on. If so, I'm glad you've decided to work on healing your pain points and striving for emotional freedom and self-empowerment.
Utilizing a Solution Focused approach will be beneficial in achieving what feels like unattainable goals.
